1 starThis is the worst dentist ever. I visited them for X-Rays OVER TWO YEARS ago. They are now sending me a bill for the XRays which they never filed with my insurance and now it is too late to do so. I have tried to reach someone by phone for the past three weeks. I cannot talk to anyone and no one will call me back. They never sent my insurance the bill and now expect me to pay a bill from February 2022. DO NOT USE COAST DENTAL. This place is a FRAUD!Review fromAmber H

1 starThey initially tried to quote me $400 which I knew wasnt correct. The nurse who was assisting me just argued and said "I know nothing about the insurance. I have nothing to do with it." With a terrible attitude. Like she very much didnt want to deal with anyone. She finally takes me back out front and it turns out they entered the wrong insurance and my visit was covered. They then took x rays and took me into an exam room. They had me meet virtually with a dentist which took 30 minutes or more because it took 4 people to figure out how to work the computer. They left a front desk worker in the room with me because they were too busy for me and she complained that "she had her work to do too" they also very blatantly complained about another client in front of me. Once they got the zoom call to work it was basically pointless bc he said he wanted an in house dentist to confirm that i have no cavities bc "he can only see so much on an xray". So that was pointless. And then I sat for another 20 minutes while they said they were going to schedule me for a future visit. I walked myself back out front and was basically told that it is what it is because not a lot of people take my insurance. So basically they are okay treating a patient like garbage because they accept a certain kind of insurance that others dont. I will not be coming back here. It was horrendous and everyone was so confused and ill trained that I would not feel safe letting them even do a cleaning. Id rather pay out of pocket than to step near that level of incompetence again. Not to mention, what looked to be the office manager, walking around eating food which is unsanitary. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Run the other direction if you were thinking about scheduling with them. I come from 10+ years of customer service and office management and im in the medical billing and coding field. The way they handled my entire appointment was atrocious and unprofessional.Review fromRobbie S

1 starTooth extraction September 2023,Signed up for a program they offer after pay sunbit where my total bill over $1000 went to and I would making payments on it ,they recommended a treatment my insurance did not pay for( perio tray) they did not notify for pick up when it was ready , said they would and I never picked it up. My secondary insurance made a payment of over $800 to coast dental which they kept unknowingly to me when I inquired was told I had a credit I asked them to pay sunbit I was told it was a different company from coast dental they could not pay them , that the dental office had to initiate an investigation to their corporate office that it will take over approx .6 weeks over 2 months past when I called to inquire was told manager no longer works there by new manager and that my $800 refund was never initiated that it has to be redone ,to call back prior to this now 2nd manager leaving I was told I got a credit for the perio tray total cost over $600 approx to sunbit and that she's still waiting for corporate to refund my $800 and that there would be different forms of repayment to choose from example put on a gift credit card I called a couple weeks later and was told she no longer works there, I then had to call numerous dentals offices at different counties then finally someone gave the regional manager my number .Per my conversation with the 2nd manager she told me a credit for a perio tray that initially they were suppose to contact me about back in September which they did not was credited back to me and that she's working to hear back from corporate for my $800 refund,so now it's April 2024 the district manager said she was now able to pay sunbit the $800 and is now refusing to refund the perio tray cost dismissing the prior dental office manager agreeing to do so ,this was our last understanding between the insurance representative that paid coast ,the former office manager and I . Almost 8 month has passed no trust in coastReview fromRosalia D

1 starI wish I had never went to this dentist office. They have no ethics!!!! They removed my bridge and was trying to replace it with a partial As of this review I am still without the bridge or the permanent partial because Dr. ****** would not work with me again because I went to one of her co worker for her opinion. Dr. ***** could fix the problem (bridge) but its not affordable for me. So I wanted to get the permanent partial until next year. Which my insurance will pay for!!! I am very upset it has affected my life in a very negative way my job my social life and my health causing depression my blood pressure has been out of control due to the stress of this ordeal Warning to others do not I repeat do not go there!!!!! Im happy for those who have a successful out come but as you can see by other reviews on here and on their website its lots of unsatisfied patients.Review fromnelda w

1 starOn December 8, 2023 I inquired about a teeth whitening. They informed me that the cost would be $200.00, that it could be done right then. I waited, told to retun Monday, December 11th at 9:00.On December 11, 2023, I returned & waited for 1 1/2 hrs. before they took me in, took X-rays.The procedure did not go well. The tech could not fit the appliance in my mouth, tried 3 different types/sizes. Upon application of a gel like material, I immediately felt excessive burning, etc. She explained that the burning would subside, be patient. I motioned for a ************** so I could chat during this time because of the pain I was feeling. Another technician came in & questioned her tactics, she replied "I know what I'm doing". When my tech left the room, the tech said "I would NEVER do what she's doing and it was all wrong!" I started worrying! After 15 minutes, I wrote on my pad "Please stop Now! Im done! Stop!" I could not endure anymore, the burning, swelling, sensitivity. She wiped me clean with water. She lead me out of the office by my hand "Dont worry, ur insurance has taken care of the bill..." ***** my mouth, gums, fingertips were blistered, eating. drinking painful. After 5 days, I called the office manager to explain what happened. She said she would get back to me...she didn't, instead I have been getting bills from their office for $487.00 (they quoted me $200.00). I think they have acted in a non professional way. I am not sure what recourse I can take. I feel that my visit was mishandled from the beginning. There was no "Whitening" of my teeth during this process...I sent them photos of my mouth, gums-but no response from their office. Also, they are sending me emails demanding that I owe them $487.00! That is double what they quoted me. Thank you, ****************Review fromhoward l

1 starCoast Dental is a scam. They asked to sign a finance responsibility before seeing *** at the ofgice. They perform services and examination without telling you it is covered by insurance. They forced me to buy prescription without an option to get it in Walgreen. The hygienist had done the work without telling it is not covered by insurance. They aremotivated to get more $$ from me without telling me the coverages..Review fromKaren M

1 starBEWARE!!!! For starters if I can give a 0 review that's what I would rate this shady place. I went to the lake mary office to get my teeth extracted and immediate dentures a total horror story from the start I ended up getting teeth extracted which was a surgical procedure that the regular so called dentist claimed she can do it as I asked specifically for an oral surgeon to extract them since it was a surgical and not simple extractions but she claimed she felt comfortable doing it lol well she did n made a mess out of my gums then she jammed these giant immediate denture teeth that were ill fitted to begin with from what seemed to be a poor impression onto my gums n was left in pain I kept them in n suffered with cuts and sores all throughout my mouth as well as having my front n bottom teeth not properly lining up and when I tried to smile my mouth was crooked and twisted looking like I had a stroke was also not able to eat or speak but the assistant told me I had to deal with the pain as she couldn't do nothing else for me i went home crying in pain the following week I went back for the 2nd adjustment worse then the first omg this she had such an attitude and threw a hissy fit with me because I was telling her the pain i was in she said if they hurt so bad dont use them or just take them out and go elsewhere she obviously didn't no how to adjust the teeth and didn't care that I was in so much pain left once again in tears not returning back done with these non professional people that have no compassion for there patients please go elsewhere if you want extractions and immediate dentures i had to learn the hardway I wish I knew how bad this office was before hand but I never in a million yrs would of ever expected this kind of treatment from a so called dental office so to sum this up i am now without immediate dentures until gums heal along with a mouthful of sores Shop around im sure any other place would be better than them.Review fromHeather V

1 starOffice visit 01/10/2023 My husband's job was transferred to ******* and, as new patients, we made appointments for dental cleanings, which were covered in full by our insurance BCBS (verified with BCBS- and initially confirmed by Coast Dental). My husband received a very superficial cleaning by a dental assistant and saw the dentist via video call only, whereas the very same dentist had seen me personally in the very same office only minutes earlier. Despite my request, however, I did not get a cleaning, but was provided with a treatment plan instead (exceeding $500, which I declined, since I wanted to obtain a 2nd opinion from another dentist). We were not very impressed by Coast Dental's services and left their office shortly after. We definitely do NOT recommend them.Since our office visit that day, we keep on receiving "past- due" notices from Coast Dental, claiming that we owe them $97 and $126 respectively. After repeatedly checking with our insurance company BCBS, we were informed that Coast Dental submitted their claims to BCBS INCORRECTLY and that we do NOT owe copays to Coast Dental for their services. We have contacted the office manager repeatedly by phone and email to have this issue corrected, but unfortunately so far to no avail! Any assistance you could give us resolving this matter is greatly appreciated.
