1 starI enrolled my mom in this program with the reassurance that it would not affect her current care but enhance/supplement her benefits. In December when I couldn't activate the card via the ** code and couldn't get in touch with the assigned PCP, I knew it was going to be a ball of confusion. I tried to disenroll her and was denied because I wasn't listed as her representative, but I was the person who enrolled her.... Now that ******* has come and my mom is currently hospitalized, her home Healthcare company can't continue services because they're not in network! When I called to get a list of in network providers I was denied this information because I'm not her. I explainef I'm not able to get her to verbally approve because SHE'S HOSPITALIZED. I'm expected to complete authorization forms and mail them back or fax them (I don't have a fax). I've explained she has dementia and multiple ***** issues. This has been a frustrating experience. I feel deceived and helpless. I hate I put my mom in this horrible predicament believing I was doing something good for her. Hopefully I can disenroll her with a letter, that's what a customer representative said. I pray it's true.Review fromKay S

WellCare PDP plans actually override the Doctors prescriptions to the point the patient its for doesn't get the prescription. The Pharmacy told me that Wellcare was asking why the doctor prescribed the particular inhaler, asking why because of it's price (Advair - $400.) yet they authorized Trelegy which is $745. per inhaler - Wellcare is getting paid a percentage of this sale which is $345 MORE than the ***** inhaler at $400. I would not recommend this ******** *********** simply because they reveal their interest - the dollar in their pocket twice, the plan and the prescription. Have to keep looking or all of them like this. this is the first that has ever stopped a doctors prescription so the patient simply DOES WITHOUT - really doesn't make sense - you think they would want you to stay ALIVE!WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

yes you contacted me - your resolution was the doctors have our list of approved prescriptions - this isnt one of them. So as I contended from the start - WellCare approves $745 dollar prescription and doesnt approve the $400 dollar prescription. To go on your investigation was only to WellCare department - not the pharmacy or doctors office. You asked me how I got the price of the trelegy actuator - meaning you did no research of your own and what research you did was within WellCare - seems rather one sided. Thanks for such a fantastic resolution!! PS - still no prescription - so everything I brought out to begin with is exactly true!Edward R.

Yes ****, you did contact me with your resolution and I quote: "All doctors have our lists of approved drugs and this is not one of them". Wow, thats the resolution! To go on further, your investigation was limited to another Wellcare department, instead of talking with the pharmacy (where this all happened) and the doctor (that knows all the lists of Wellcares approved drugs according to you). You questioned where I got the price of Trelegy ($745) RATHER than finding out yourself. My information came from the pharmacy - you didn't bother to investigate. Everything I contended in my original review is exactly correct - Wellcare approved Trelegy ($745 per 30 day supply) and doesn't authorize Advair ($400 per 30 day supply). Its clear money talks, again from the plan and prescription. What a business!! My recommendation stays the same, NOT Wellcare PDP!Review fromCatherine A

1 starThe site is not easily accessible. The site has a lot of problems. You have hired people in far away countries who do not know adequate English and don't have any idea what they are talking about! I would like to know why do I have to pay the full amount for my prescriptions when I have drug coverage insurance with your company. *******************,**************************************************** *****Review fromSB C

1 starI was looking for an insurance that had transportation for a handicap in a wheelchair, that had my specialist Dr.s in their network and covered all my medications, talked with insurance agent, WellCare confirmed everything I was looking for, decided to sign up. I am on an insulin pump and was told along with agent that it was covered. I am out of supplies and found out today that they do not cover my Medtronic pump or supplies. Called to see if I could get Lantus long term insulin and syringes since I have the regular insulin, told they would cover since Im prescribed a pump. I havent found out if that is going to be considered attempted or negligent homicide. My agent and I on a 3 way call when we call their office to speak to supervisor, call was answer by a representative from *************** , to speak with ** representative due to not being able to understand the language she was speaking. We were transferred to US. The person that we was transferred was totally confused from the questions, we ask to Speke to a supervisor. After 10 minutes on hold she stated she was sending us to the supervisor, We were transferred to ************** I believe that the person that we were speaking with an answering the phone personal that answers the for medical insurance companies, with mo insurance experience at all. You got to love that technology and scamming businesses.Review fromClaire C

Told me I would have same policy as 2023. Then they changed the pharmacy amount. I was told that if I wanted the same policy as2023 to do nothing, it would roll over. I was getting $166.00 quarterly for online pharmacy ordering. Now I find out I have a spendable card that's loaded with $22.00 a month. Far cry from the quarterly amount. I was lied to. Now I'm stuck with this insurance till next year. I feel like they took advantage of me. I won't be recommending them to anyone!WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

1 starWorst PDP I have ever had. Terrible customer service Representatives that are so hard to understand you just want to hang up the phone. Toss you from one person to another person and they all say something different. I had been on a medication with my previous company Aetna who were incidentally a great company but I found the rates at WellCare we're going to be less... Biggest mistake in the world they made my physician call in a prior authorization cuz it was a pricey drug and then denied the prescription... So if they're appeal system is anything like the regular system no thank you! Never had a moments problem with ***** getting this prescription covered now this horrible situation and I am without my prescription....DO NOT use this company if you care about your health. They have the right to limit quantities of drugs and make you get prior authorization that other companies do not ....this is a horrible company wish I would have read these reviews before I signed up you cannot get out of it either until open enrollment. Buyer Beware! Shame on ******** for having a company like this in their roster!Review fromChristine S

Ive been with this company for many years. I called in during open enrollment to confirm my benefits will be the same going into ****. I was assured it wouldnt change. So I stayed with them. I just found out the $740 over the counter went away. This was the deciding factor going with them so now its gone. I was told I could go with another plan but it will be another $100 a month. So thats $1200 Id pay in a year to get the *** benefit back. I barely make it on social security and this is horrible for me to survive. Shame on WellCare. And never got notice of this change nor did I get a new card.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.
