      Engage WellCare only if you have hours to spend getting a polite runaround.I am a reasonably informed person. I had surgery, w/ an overnight hospital stay. During the almost two day stay I was handed meds and water by a nurse. I ingested them. Because they were self-administered, neither ******** nor my supplement would cover them, even tho' the were "prescription meds". I contacted WellCare and spent (no exaggeration) multiple hours on the phone trying to get reimbursed. A form could only be surface mailed, not emailed, which will take ***** business days. A put off; buying time. Why it could not be emailed is unknown.Always a run-around, always wait forever for supervisor. An expectation of WellCare is I must provide a label from a pharmacy for each drug. Really? Good luck getting that info from a hospital. Plus, Wellcare demands a copy of the paid receipt. My take is WellCare's operating model is to make things so difficult, long enough, that the member just gives up, swallows paying the hospital bill and moves on out of frustration and wasted effort.. I've read other reviews sharing the same difficulty and exasperation. Not reupping again.

      Never, never do business with WellCare. They are impossible to get on the phone and do not reply to letters. I canceled WellCare effective December 31, 2022, but they continued to take premiums out of my bank account. They do not reply to my multiple letters with proof of my cancelation and demanded a refund. No refund, no communication from WellCare. I consider WellCare a FRAUD organization.

      WellCare has to be the worst company to due business with. After spending over 3hrs on the phone with them and being transferred over 20 times back and forth between USS and who knows where. My issue is still unresolved. There is absolutely no way to escalate an issue or speak with someone who can actually help you. There is very little chance that your issue will be addressed,

      My very disabled son has been on a high dose of morphine for a decade . He has an awful,non curable bone infection . They increased his morphine but WellCare took a week denying ,now on a Friday ,they finally approve but heading into the weekend and it has to be ordered,no one keeps that dose on hand. He ll suffer 3 more days. I hate WellCare with my whole being.

      I switched from my previous plan in 2022. I strongly regret it. Congestive heart failure is a family trait. I had a double bypass in 2020. I am number 5 out of 6 siblings to have open heart surgery. At age 66 and stroke patient I experienced a chest pain and was kept overnight at the hospital for test. Wellcare would not pay for overnight stay and one of the reasons was because they said I did not have a heart attack. I also had paperwork from pcp for a cane, blood work, glaucoma specialist because I have a very bad case of glaucoma that has me blind in one eye and losing sight in the other eye and an order for a mammogram and was told I need prior authorization from my pcp....and he is the one that wrote the orders. I recently changed to wellcare and will be going back to my previous Medicare advantage plan asap! Wellcare is Such a very poor Medicare advantage plan. I'm sorry I did not follow my first instinct. What wellcare offered sounded too good to be true and turns out I was right.

      It's the worst coverage for meds I've ever had, when I call to speak with someone they can barely speak English, I take a pain med at night and they refuse to pay, another pain med they refuse, but my book says they do, call and no speaking English idiot names my list of meds they do pay! Its rediculous that I have to go thru this at 70 yrs old!!@

        We are sorry for your dissatisfaction and inconvenience, we have made outreach to the member and left voicemails. We have yet to hear back from the member, review was conducted with the information received. Pharmacy has reviewed the transaction and the drug is non formulary, there is a denied PA on file, the member can have the DR file an appeal.

      I had WellCare Medicare insurance. I was seeing a Dentist back in2020 through 2022. The whole time I was seeing this Dentist I was never told that I had any balance due. So I assumed that WellCare had been taking care of all of the costs!! Now in 2023 I get a letter from a collection service for $1700.00. I contacted the Dentist and to my surprise I find that WellCare never paid this Dentist a red cent!!! They submitted and resubmitted and were never paid. Now I find out that there is a two year statute that if you don’t get paid in that two year period you’re out of luck. I am trying my hardest to get this corrected. But I am having trouble finding the right person to talk to. I just think that this is awful that this poor Dentist did all this work in good faith. Thinking my insurance will pay. And then they cheat him out of his money. I’m totally outraged by this treatment to this Dentist. It is no wonder it is hard to find Professionals to accept your insurance when they pull this kind of injustice!!!!

      ???? Amazing, I tried to be understanding and patient with this company because these times have been difficult during the pandemic. But omg… they are sooooo not good. Customer Service based in the Philippines, with chickens noises in the background… they’re trained to be polite but not really to provide service ??????????????. So frustrating. Their payment book(s) inconsistent and incorrect ??????????????. They ought to be put out of Hawaii’s business realm ??????????????.

I left a message but obviously did not receive a callback. Wellcare, look at the complaints in toto and pay attention at how many there are, how similar they are, and how obvious it is that Wellcare needs to develop BETTER BUSINESS practices.

      I and my mother are both wellcare members for 8yrs now. I had to filed numerous complaints in the last year about poor services she received from providers and companies wellcare has paid for her being a member. Just like others have said you file a grievance with wellcare they will give you the run a round then lose the grievance many times over. wellcare doesn't care about you the customer.

      Our Wellcare.com logins expired, and apparently so did the answers to security questions. They do no allow you to correct this, other than calling them. Whether you request "help" or "support" you are provided a click button next to a graphic of a telephone handset. Click on that, you get nothing but a mailing address. If you want a phone number, you have to use a third-party search website. Call any of those numbers, and you get put in a queue, where you wait until you can't anymore. This is the WORST customer service we seen on any website, EVER!
