I would rate this A zero. They are all talk and no action. You can spend hours trying to get an answer and be transferred no less than 4 times. Company is a. Omelette waste of time and money. In fact, they cost me money. I should have stayed with plain Medicare. I feel like it was all a scam!!WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

1 starI honestly would not have selected you for my provider if I had known your customer service personnel speak English with a heavy accent. The first person's accent was so thick I gave up. You also declined my drug because you said it was not approved by the FDA but was approved in 2021, so your database is not up-to-date. Which is disturbing in and of itself. Also, I asked your representative if you have a plan to cover the drug I need; her only response was that the window to switch had closed. I am well aware of that, but I wanted to know for next year; she had absolutely no idea. So why couldn't she just enter the drug name and look it up? 1 starTotally incompetent customer service. Each time I try to refill a prescription I find Wellcare has it listed as they are a secondary insurance. They are actually my primary and only insurance. When calling customer service, you first must give your life history to a robot. Next fight your way through multiple choices to speak to a human. The rep does not speak English, but is your only choice. Give life history again. After explaining issue multiple times, get transferred to Pharmacy desk. Pharmacy desk rep also does not speak English. Give life history again. Explain issue multiple times. Wait to be put on three way connection with Medicare rep. Explain issue again. After over an hour issue is supposedly resolved and you pick up your meds. The next time you need a refill repeat the process. I am on my fourth round so far.Review fromAnnette J

As new enrollees in Wellcare, my spouse and I have never encountered such poor customer service. Our initial coupon books were wrong. Corrected coupon books were never sent as promised. My husband and I have different drug plans, and our payments were incorrectly applied to our accounts. Six months later, and Wellcare still hasn't corrected our accounts despite dozens of calls to customer representatives and supervisors. Have requested a paid receipt/invoice for payment of our 2023 premiums in full. Was told that they only issue billing statements, which are not accepted by our health savings account for reimbursement since the information on the billing statements is incomplete. The customer service representatives make promises which are never honored (for example, we were told that members of the executive response team would contact us to resolve our issues, and this never happened). There is no accountability in this business. Their poor customer service makes you believe that they only want your money.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

This is the worst health company Ive ever dealt with. They sent me a letter in the mail saying they cant get in touch with me. They called once. I have been trying for days to get in touch with them with the number on the letter and it seems like nobody is there to take my call. I have left messages and still no return call. The number they have on the letter is .Good luck getting someone to answer. I need them to pay my doctor what is owed to him. Horrible healthcare.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

Wellcare is absolutely ridiculous, you continually get transferred to different departments and it's usually the wrong one. The customer service people talk over you, they do not let you finish your sentences and repeat the same useless information over and over again. I just signed up for the dual plan whatever that means and I'm not getting the cards they told me I'm supposed to get. I have yet to receive my member card and I have two Dr's appt next week neurologist and PCP. I also need to get meds however do not have the prescription card. I have a brain injury from having brain surgery to remove a tumor as well as contracting Powassan Virus from a tick. I have a very hard time with following directions and navigating through this poorly functional customer service and website. The customer service are no help they just treat you like you are stupid. Once they get your verification information they are no help, I was transferred 6 times with absolutely no help. I had the basic wellcare and didn't have any issues however once I signed up for the dual plan it's been a nightmare. I wish I never signed up for this program. I'm extremely disappointed and overwhelmed, I can't say enough negative things about the customer service.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

after speaking to the member, we forwarded her issues: There are several requirements that determine which CVS stores are enabled to process OTC benefit transactions at retail. One of those requirements involves CVS running a zip or geo census and looks at all member populations mapped within 3-5 miles from the store. They look to enable stores where there are 400 plus members mapped to that particular location. OTCHS is looking to enabled more stores in June 2023. In 2023, this OTCHS benefit is restricted to CVS Pharmacy .The majority of the items offered on the catalog are CVS branded, however we do offer brand items as well The items listed within the 2023 catalog have been reviewed and approved by the health plan. An outreach was conducted to advised member of how her OTC *************. Member stated she was told from a Wellcare agent that she will be able to go to multiple stores. We advised that her benefit is CVS, however member doesnt have any stores that are near. We will be happy to assist (over the phone, IVR system, 24 hour plan website) for her OTC benefit. Member stated she needs an catalog, May the health plan please send member out an OTC catalog? Member stated she appreciated OTC conducted an outreach on this matter. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. The account is fully documented on this matter. regarding the Utility benefit, we were advised We do not have *************************** enrolled in the Utility Benefit. I am showing they are enrolled in Dental Hearing and Vision. Has the member completed the steps to qualify and been approved yet? This review is for ************** let me say my review is geared toward individuals who serve as caregivers to elder parents. In my case, my 90 year old parent resides with me and my family. As a result I manage all over financial and medical issues. My mother has only had Wellcare for less than 4 months and it has been THE MOST frustrating experience ever. I would rather spend the entire day at my local DMV than deal with Wellcare representatives. The focus of my issue that they required a form to allow me to even inquire about her account. When that form was completed, it turned out I couldn't do simple things like an address change. It is not an exaggeration to say that almost any simple issue that required contact with Wellcare required, at minimum, a 90 minute investment. If I could give Wellcare a negative star rating I would. Do yourself a favor, particularly if you are a caregiver, go with another part d company. I'm changing her plan as soon as I am done typing this review!WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

They've denied me of my meds that are medically necessary & mandatory to take! Also have put me in a lock in program that I should have never been in, & that has made my life compete hell! Now I have to file an appeal that is going to take a long time till I can get takin off the lock in program to be able to get my meds again AND TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THINGS BACK TO NORMAL WITH MY DR AND MEDS ! I can't wait months till the appeal is settled to get my meds that I'm supposed to have Everyday! I shouldn't have to file an appeal and do all of these extra things to get takin off the lock in in program when this is wellcares error in the first place! They flagged me for something I didn't even do & now I have to pay for it, bc Wellcare won't listen to me & go back on their records & see that it was a mistake on wellcares behalf! I have been trying to fix this issue for almost 2 years now & they will not listen to what I'm saying or even look into it & now I can't get my meds bc of THEIR incompetence & mistakes THAT THEY CLEARLY MADE & now my health is suffering bc of it. They need to own up to their mistakes & fix this! I'm so fed up at this point! Only other thing to do if they don't fix what they've wrongfully done to me, Is to take this higher up to someone that will! The customer service is AWFUL & does not help or care to get to the root of the problem! I've had as much as I can take being treat this bad! If Wellcare would Just take a few minutes to GO BACK to LOOK ON MY FILE, view ALL OF MY MEDICATIONS, DRS, APPTS, Records ECT. They WOULD SEE THAT I DID NOT DO A Thing WRONG & THAT they messed all of this up not me! I've spent a long time TRYING TO FIX wellcares Negligence that's causing me to suffer greatly but I can not undo what Wellcare has done. Only Wellcare can! & It's Such a simple solution & easy way to fix this but they won't take the time or hear me out! Wellcare needs to start treating people like people instead of numbers! We have reviewed your concerns regarding your lock in status-The criterion for lock in selection is usually based on utilization (three controlled substances or three different pharmacies or three different prescribers within a 30-day period)
Member would like to know if her case can be reviewed to be removed from the lock in and if she can be educated on how much longer she would need to be in the program: 12 or 24 months. After 12 or 24 months, the member will be re-evaluated for continuation or removal of lock-In ********** that are 24 months are ********, **********, **************, and **************. This process is handled by the specific State Pharmacy Director/Manage. The members lock in is set to end 06/11/2023
Do we have someone that can review lock in for exceptions? The member may make changes to their lock-in at anytime for the following reasons below. If the member does not agree with the Lock-in they can file an appeal (grievance) by following the instructions in the member letter they received
Emergency supply while traveling within the state
Member moved and is no longer near the assigned provider
A drug is out of stock at the assigned pharmacy/limited access medication
Member has a script from the hospital/emergency room
Admitted to LTC (has to use their provider)
PCP (Primary Care Physician) change
Saw a different doctor in the same practice
Referral to a specialist
Is member made aware of lock in process? Yes the member is notified via letter that they are now in a Lock-In.
