I entered into a contract with Ideal Image. The rep used my husband as primary on a loan that he did not sign for I was told he could be my cosigner. The rep.kade my first appointment in less than 15 hours the company called to cancel. I researched and found this to be a very common practice. They take your money book and then cancel appointments regularly. They don't rebook all of your appointments within contract time and then charge for another year membership. Within 24 hours I notified both Ideal Image and Ally Bank I wished to exercise my right to cancel the agreement. I contacted a consumer lawyer who informed me you have 3 days to cancel a contract. I have documentation of all correspondence to prove I notified within the period allotted. Ideal Image is refusing to cancel the contract. They are violating my rights as a consumer as well as breaking fede6law.Business Response

My name is ***** *******. In May Ideal Image contacted me to sign up for some treatments. They called me in zoom to go over pricing. The girl that called me in zoom did not explain to me really what I was signing and she said I would be able to cancel anytime. I called numerous times to cancel and theyt refuse, They send me to collections and did not render any services. I do not want any services. I cant afford this. I just graduated high school and work at Five guys part time while I'm in college. I never had any services done and the girl said I can cancel if I change my mind. I keep calling and everyone is giving me the run around. I've asked for a copy of the recorded zoom call and the name of the sales person. They keep refusing. They send me to collections for no reason. I need them to remove this from my credit since I have not gotten any services. I want a copy of the zoom call to confirm the girl said I can cancel anytime. I cant afford this I work at five guys part time. I do not know what I was signing and the girl said I can cancel anytime. The Ally lending account number is 2554. Then girl did not go over the contract with me word for word.Business Response

Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm hoping to get some help from you, because Ideal Image never tried to get my problem resolved.
I purchased 8 unit of cool-sculpting on Sep. 2021, costing me $3,182.32. I did cool-sculpting with 4 units in April, and scheduled the next 4 units in May.
The cool-sculpting lead time is 4 hours for once. Because I'm taking care of my daughter and my puppy by myself, it's very difficult for me to find a full 4-hour time slot. Due to conflict, I had to cancel the 2nd appointment in May, and tried to re-schedule.
Unfortunately, I called many times, it's either auto-voice or someone told me "somebody will call you back".
Last week, when my phone was finally picked up, I was told, "someone would call you" again, and then nothing happened again.
Today, I called again, the good thing is someone picked up the phone, the bad thing is, it transferred a few times, and then, someone told me, "you already got a 90-day extension, and the extension was expired. Another extension was denied by a clinic manager. I can do nothing." I asked them to transfer my phone to the one who denied the extension application, they had no contact info., and I was told what I can do is just waiting.
I was told the duration of cool-sculpting shows 6 months in my contract. That's for 1 unit. I purchased 8 units, so I should have totally 48 months to use them up.
It doesn't make sense that my $2,000 disappeared because nobody from Ideal Image told me there's an extension and it's expired, and nobody answered my phone to re-schedule my appointment when it's not expired.
I hope you can help to get my money back.Business Response

At 8:00pm on 8/11/22, I signed up for a full body laser treatment packet of $11,919.74. I was approved for a loan of $7,500 by Ally Bank. Right after the signing process, which literally took 10 minutes, I felt uneasy. They were even rushing me into taking in an appointment as soon as the next day, but I refused. They didn't even explain how appointments worked. After I finished my consultation call, which forcefully resulted into a pressure signed contract, I looked up this place better, and found out I was no longer interested in their services. I felt rushed into a decision, and the representative I spoke to wasn't helpful explaining the terms of the contract, or cancellation policy. I feel incredibly overcharged for a service that I haven't received or do not longer wish to receive. I was charged for a lifetime guarantee, but this wasn't even mentioned to me. On top of that, they asked me if I wanted to purchase their kit of gels and sunscreens that I would "need" for aftercare, and even though I said "Not right now, maybe later" they went ahead and ordered this for me anyway. I was clearly mislead into signing in a contract with Ideal Image. I called their business as soon as the next day, and explained my situation, but they only stated I needed a "medical reason" in order to break the contract and receive a refund, for services I never even got...I would like to request for a full refund.Business Response

On 4/25/22 I called Ideal Image inquiring about laser hair removal. I was immediately transferred to Michelle P. a sales representative. I told her I was looking into my vagina and my under arms and she quickly requested my email address and sent me some forms stating the amounts and that she needed to run my credit card before she could set me up with an appointment. She immediately processed the credit card for $2798. I felt so rushed by sales pitches that I was not even able to read all of those pgs. as she was there on the phone waiting. She never told me about a "contract", non-refundable and binding arbitration. I felt rushed thru the whole thing. She was very misleading and plus they didn't even have any open appt's available at the time during the call. I told her that if that was the case then it was no big deal than I would like a refund. She said, "Oh let me see what the deal is with that office." I didn't even know she was in a different time zone. She ended up contacting me the next day stating the office was having issues with appt's and that someone will be contacting me. I told her once again that I didn't want the services and that I really just wanted the refund as was stated to her the day prior. She said she would go ahead and put the refund request in. 3 weeks after and still no one has called me and after multiple attempts a rep calls me to inform me that the refund request was denied because a rep called me (almost a week after I put in for the refund) to make an appt that I had denied the appt. I told him that a refund request was made the same day I had inquired about services but there were no appt's available. He said that didn't matter. I ended up going to my doc b/c I got an infection in my private area and got a doc note which I submitted that to Ideal image, they stated they have to send it to review, it's been a week and a half, and no one has contacted me. I've been dealing with them since April. I regret this whole process.Business Response

I bought 2 Ultherapy packages, one for me and one as a gift for my sister in North Carolina. Both packages included: Lower Face - Full Face & Full Neck TOTAL for *** *******: $1,600.00 to be done in Reno, NV on Nov 2021 (extension signed and granted by company), TOTAL for ***** *******: 1500.01 to be done in Raleigh, NC on Dec, 2021 (extension signed and granted by company). I scheduled to received the first portion of the treatment on 11/24/2021 which was Ultherapy Full Neck ($592.59), at their Reno location as I was visiting my parents for thanksgiving so I scheduled the visit around the same time. I was given instructions before and after which I followed to detail as I am in the medical field and understand the importance. After the treatment I developed severe erythema and swelling around the neck area, swallowing was painful and the area looked and felt inflamed even after 48 hrs, all symptoms were reported to their nurse Joleen RN via phone, there were raised red bumps on the neck that lasted well over 3 days. My next appointment was scheduled for 11/26/21, Joleen RN was able to assess my condition, she stated that while there is no way to know how a patient would react to treatment she never saw swelling and redness lasting for more than expected, Joleen RN called the location Nurse Practitioner (NP) on duty and explained the situation, she was accompanied by another nurse. Both returned and Joleen RN stated that their NP said to refrain from doing the treatment due to the present symptoms and severe inflammation. Joleen RN also suggested that she/they was going to file an incident report and also suggested that I start a refund claim for the unused portion on the treatment. I was flying back to California on 11/29/21 and mentioned that I'd have my doctor see it.
I have sent a refund request letter to Ideal image on 12/11/21 with no success, they apparently need a letter from the doctor to suffice their refund protocol.Business Response

Only July 28th, 2022 I received a consultation to receive a service called cool sculpting. During this consultation I was lead to believe this was a weight loss surgery, this was false. Upon further digging I discovered this was NOT a weight loss surgery and was instead an exercise add on. I immediately called to cancel my appointment and the loan from ally lending. Today, August 10 2022, I received a call from a man named Tyler McGhee informing that, whether I receive the services or not I will still be charged the loan. This company prayed on me in a very vulnerable moment and when I tried to back out they told me I was screwed. I am a poor college student who is begging for help because I cannot afford $2000 surgery even if I only have to pay $60 a monthBusiness Response

I inquired about hair removal services on the Ideal Image website and was contacted by a sales representative soon after. They told me they provided a permanent solution that included a lifetime guarantee and told me it would be $2100. The sales rep told me they offered financing and asked me to fill out a application right then. She told me I was approved for the amount and would receive a bill within 2 weeks of receiving my first session. When I went to the appointment the technician went over a medical questionnaire with me and informed me that the procedure would not provide a permanent solution due to medication I was on. She also told me I would have to pay separately for additional treatments and that the lifetime guarantee did not cover future costs. I told her I wasn't going to start the treatment because this is not what I was told by the salesperson. I left the office and called the financing people they used and informed them I wasn't doing the service and wouldn't activate the loan. They said Ideal Image had already been paid and to call them. That started a 2 week process of numerous phone calls and an visit back to the office to get an answer. I was finally contacted today and told that the medical conflict the clinician explained to me was not a basis for a refund. I explained that they hadn't provided any services and that their clinician said the procedure wouldn't be a permanent solution. The lady I spoke with, Kristina said none of that mattered and they would not issue a refund. She said our contract states that. When I told her the sales person didn't explain that it it was a 20 page disclaimer that the sales person rushed me through so I could fill out the financing application she just said they won't issue a refund. Now I'm contacting the BBB to assist and see that Ideal Image has over 3000 complaints for fraudulent businesses practices. Almost 1500 in the past 12 months alone and that they are using unscrupulous sales tactics.Business Response

I did speak with 2 people from Ideal Image so I don't know why they would say they couldn't reach me. I was told that what their sales person told me or what their technician said about the claims they made were inconsequential to me getting a refund. They have provided zero service and that they will not issue a refund. That is a summary of my conversation with them.

Michael, the individuals you spoke with were calling you in regards to your refund request not regarding your BBB complaint. We have received your e-mail about being out of town until today and will reach out to speak with you regarding your complaint and the contract today. Thank you.

First you said you couldn't reach me. Now you say that people I spoke didn't have anything to do with my BBB complaint, which is not true because I told Katrina I filed a complaint, I told the regional coordinator Johnna I filled a complaint and then Miriam called me to talk to me about it. You also stated that you sent me an email trying to reach me in regard to my BBB complaint. Maybe you can forward this email to the BBB because I don't have it nor do I have any missed calls from you. In addition nobody tried to contact me today as you stated you would in your second response. This is a simple resolution, you can't provide the service you sold nor have you provided any service at all. Refund the money you received from Ally Financial and let's move on and stop wasting everyone's time with these games.

On August 2, 2022, I received a call from a consultant from Ideal Image-Melissa-who offered me the laser hair removal service and gave me an estimated quotation. She also offered to check my credit score to see if I was eligible to be financed. The offer she gave me was $244.44 dollars per month for eighteen months for a total of $4400. During the call the consultant rushed me to give her my verbal agreement, without taking the time to think about what they were charging me or if I could even afford it. At no point was I informed that this agreement would be binding in any capacity.
One hour later, I called her back to tell her that the price of the service was outside my budget, but she didn't give me a definitive answer. I called her again the next day to insist, but again, I didn't get an answer. Since no answer was given, I emailed Ideal Image customer service directly on August 3, 2022, informing that I was not willing to take the service and requesting a money refund. After that I decided to contact the finance company and they agreed to send a request to cancel the service. Today, August 10, I received a response from Ideal Image in which they said that they couldn't give me a refund because I don't have any medical restriction that would impede me from taking the service. The financial company advised me that I should still make the monthly payments in any case, regardless of Ideal Image's response to my refund request. This is completely impossible for me right now, and not being able to cancel a service to which I only had given a verbal agreement just one hour earlier is completely ludicrous. Being forced to pay for a service that I will not be taking is not a fair transaction and it feels like a scam, given that the telephone sale is designed so that the customer doesn't have much time to make an informed, objective decision.
It should also be clarified that I have never received a copy of the contract that I supposedly signed.Business Response

They purposely will schedule sessions so far out that you're not getting the required amount of sessions to have "permanent" hair removal . My first session took months and the follow up ones are always spread so far out that the required amount of sessions I'll need to get this completed will not be enough . I paid over $4,000 and I can barely get scheduled in. Once my time expires for me to get my sessions I'll be recharged for additional sessions that weren't scheduled in . Then the people at the actual location NEVER answer . When you're routed to the other customer service back up or whatever they hang up on you. There's no resolution because no one cares after they've taken your money . They make promises they can't keep and once they take your money good luck . By far the worst experience from a business ever. Would not recommend . There are a lot more places that provide laser hair removal and it's way more affordable than this . I hope more people realize they're basically scamming people .Business Response

Adding back the wasted time I should've already had for what I've already paid for ? How is that a resolution . Just to go back to having to deal with the same issue moving forward.
Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/08/15) */
The contract is a 16 month contract - therefore, by extending the contract this will allow you additional time to complete treatments as the contract is considered fully treated at 5 treatments.
Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2022/08/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is my exact point . For the amount of money being spent to get these treatments we as consumers should be able to get more than 5 sessions completed . Your own nurses advise that minimum 10 treatments are required to get full results . Your policy on 5 treatments being fully treated is the biggest scam . There should be better warning prior to going into business with your company . Thank you for proving my point about the amount of sessions you're actually able to get for the money being spent .
Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/08/19) */
Lucero, we have provided you with a resolution to your concern about treatments received. The contract is not eligible for any other resolution. If further extensions are needed we are happy to revisit - however we apply a max of 90 day extensions at one time. You contract has been attached for your review regarding treatment timing and results.

BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
