On August 2, 2022, I received a call from a consultant from Ideal Image-Melissa-who offered me the laser hair removal service and gave me an estimated quotation. She also offered to check my credit score to see if I was eligible to be financed. The offer she gave me was $244.44 dollars per month for eighteen months for a total of $4400. During the call the consultant rushed me to give her my verbal agreement, without taking the time to think about what they were charging me or if I could even afford it. At no point was I informed that this agreement would be binding in any capacity.

One hour later, I called her back to tell her that the price of the service was outside my budget, but she didn't give me a definitive answer. I called her again the next day to insist, but again, I didn't get an answer. Since no answer was given, I emailed Ideal Image customer service directly on August 3, 2022, informing that I was not willing to take the service and requesting a money refund. After that I decided to contact the finance company and they agreed to send a request to cancel the service. Today, August 10, I received a response from Ideal Image in which they said that they couldn't give me a refund because I don't have any medical restriction that would impede me from taking the service. The financial company advised me that I should still make the monthly payments in any case, regardless of Ideal Image's response to my refund request. This is completely impossible for me right now, and not being able to cancel a service to which I only had given a verbal agreement just one hour earlier is completely ludicrous. Being forced to pay for a service that I will not be taking is not a fair transaction and it feels like a scam, given that the telephone sale is designed so that the customer doesn't have much time to make an informed, objective decision.

It should also be clarified that I have never received a copy of the contract that I supposedly signed.

When I purchased the 12 sessions for laser hair removal in May of 2020 I was not told there was a "contract" with an expiration date. I have had 5 sessions of treatments since May of 2020. The majority of my sessions were either not scheduled timely or they were cancelled due to staffing issues. My last treatment was in August of 2021. When leaving I asked to schedule my next session and was told that they were having scheduling issues and someone would call me around the time my next appointment was due. In approximately December of 2021 I realized no one had called me so I called the office and scheduled my next two appointments to avoid having any further scheduling issues. The day of my appointment in February I was called and informed they had to reschedule my appointment because the nurse called out. They rescheduled me for a later date in February. The day of that appointment I was called and told there would be a "touch up fee". This made no sense to me as I hadn't finished even 1/2 of my original treatments. I was told I needed to speak to either Natalie, the clinic manager, or Ben, her supervisor to fix my "contract".

I have been attempting to resolve this issue formally with Ideal Image since March of 2022. I opened a formal case with them and have e-mailed them 14 times as well as called them almost weekly. I have not received a response to my e-mails nor have I received any call back. Every time I call, I am told the representative answering the phone cannot help me and someone will call me back but no one ever does.

During the consultation the consultant blatantly lied to me and reassured me multiple times that the plan can be easily cancelled and the amount will be refunded to original payment method upon cancellation. When I cancelled the plan, they refused to refund me even though I've never used any of the their services so far. They tried to resolve the dispute my offering me a discount but the discount amount is insignificant relative to the total amount they're charging.

Customer service representative have been hostile and aggressive when I attempted to come to an appropriate resolution.

They should take accountability for their employees deliberately lying to customers for sale (this is fraudulent behavior) and refund scammed customers

On June 19th I got a phone call from a representative from Ideal image for face fillers. I went ahead and signed up for services and did their financing option for $1700. They had me sign forms that I could not read on my phone or have time to review. I was not told I could not cancel. They did not tell me I was making a purchase. A few weeks later I decided I did not want services and found out that I now owe Ally lending. I called and tried to close the account because I did not receive any treatment and was told by an associate at Ideal image that there was a no cancellation policy. I want this financing agreement through Ally lending closed. I should not have to pay for something I did not receive or plan to receive.

I have not spoken to anyone about an open dispute. The only answer I received from only one form of communication from Ideal Image is the phone call I made and was told I can not cancel. Nobody told me that I had an open dispute and that it was pending. I still want my initial request resolved please.

      Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/08/15) */
The dispute can only be opened by the guest with the financing company of which their loan is through. Ideal Image is happy to assist but the dispute must be dropped or closed before we are able to proceed with assistance.

Business I am filing this complaint against: Ideal Image
Date of the transaction: June 16th, 2022
The amount of money I paid the business: $1129
What the business committed to providing me: Botox, Filler, skincare, membership benefits
What the nature of the dispute is: Botox caused me lasting bruises and the effect of Botox only lasted 1.5 months rather than the 6 months they told me. I requested a refund for the filler and membership fee which are the services I did not use, they denied my request.
Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem: The Ideal Image agent said they would not refund me but I could transfer my account to a relative but then would not follow up on how to transfer.
Account number: my Ideal Image contract ID: ********

      Consumer Response /* (3000, 5, 2022/08/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
One Ideal Image agent called me on 8/10th/2022 and said they would allow me to transfer the $525 out of the $1129 I paid to them to an account for one of my relatives to use but they would not offer a refund. I have three concerns:
      1. I had a terrible experience at Ideal Image and I only accepted the transfer deal a while ago because Ideal Image told me that I either lose all the money I had paid to them or use it on one of my family or friends. I do not want to lose my money; however, I also don't want to put my relative in a risky situation knowing that Ideal Image's services can be of low quality.
      2. Out of the $1129 I paid to them, $250 was for an Ideal Image membership fee. Lauren H., the Ideal Image sales representative, told me that buying this membership will save me $200 to $300 on my Botox treatment alone. Ideal Image charged me $8.9 per unit on Botox and offers any client without membership $10 per unit, so for the 30 units of Botox I received, my saving was a mere $33 not $200 to $300 as Lauren claimed. I was lied to during her sales pitch and bought the membership under false claims. When Ideal Image called me on 8/10th/2022, they refused to refund nor transfer my membership fee.
      3. The Ideal Image agent who called me on 8/10th/2022 hung up on me during our conversation. He did not introduce himself with a name or show any willingness to mediate the situation.
I would like to request a refund again.
      Thank you!

      Business Response /* (4000, 7, 2022/08/15) */
Ideal Image contracts are non refundable which is why the account credit was offered to the guest. The Lifetime Guarantee Membership offered guests to purchase Botox at $8.90/unit where as non-members pay $15.00 per unit. Ideal Image does have discounts and promotions that run at times but typically apply to large amounts of Botox to be purchased to obtain the $10.00/unit price if offered at all. This is not a typical promotion. We apologize about any inconvenience or experience had with your last call with Ideal Image. We would be happy to assist in getting the funds moved out to your friend/relative but we are unable to offer a refund at this time.

      Consumer Response /* (4200, 9, 2022/08/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As a last resort, I will accept the transfer of my funds to my relative/friend. However,I request that the free gift that my membership provides me, which I have not used, to be given to my relative/friend too.

Can you also provide a contact number which I can reach out to start the transfer process.

      Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/08/19) */

When I signed a contract with them I was given a money back guarantee & paid for unlimited touch ups. Now they want to charge for touch ups and are refusing to give a full refund. And say they can no longer find my contract. I still have the receipt. I want a full refund.

This company is completed fraud and scamming. First issue that I looked past, they do predatory contract based sales in which the sales representative signed for me because I could not open the contract therefore letting me know that I have the full ability to cancel or re-examine the contract at a later date. Those were not actually viable options, I was lied to and never saw the contract, at all. I've been in this contract less than a year, I have only received 3 of a package with 12 sessions. Those session were not only shockingly over priced compared to competitors but they also have zero availability for months out. The last time I received a laser hair removal treatment was November 2021 (I've had Botox, filler and facials by them as well, I am a lifetime member). The next appointment was scheduled out till March, a week before I could no longer make the appointment. I called, left messages and did not receive a reply until I missed the appointment which they tagged $50 fee to my account and didn't tell me. I was able to reschedule that appointment for June which was cancelled by Ideal Image while I was driving there because of the fee AND they added another no show fee to the appointment they've cancelled. Therefore, they're refusing to service me BUT still making me pay Ally Lending which I have now stopped paying. I no longer want anything to do with this company, I would like a refund for the amount of money I put into services I haven't received and for ally lending contract loan to be done as well. Between the horrible contract I've never seen to refusing me service and still expecting me to pay, disgusting business. I want no connection to Ideal Image in any way ever again.

Our records indicate that the guest No Showed for an appointment on March 29th, 2022 - the guest was charged a $50.00 No Show Fee for this appointment. This $50.00 balance was cleared as a customer service gesture.
The guest then called on May 5th to reschedule her appointment for 5/25 - due to cancellation/rescheduling in less than 24 hours, the guest was charged another No Show Fee of $50.00. It seems that the guest was charged another No Show Fee for this day due to another cancellation that is unclear. Due to this,
Ideal Image is happy to waive one of the $50.00 No Show Fees for the same day cancellations/rescheduling however the guest is not entitled to a refund for services. Once the guest pays the $50.00 balance due the guest is able to be scheduled. Thank you.

      Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/08/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Previous to my no show on March 29th, 2022, I attempted to call to reschedule on from the weekend prior March 19th and called multiple time where I was instructed to go on the app to reschedule which I stated I didn't know my information on the app and I'd prefer to do it on the phone, then got hung up on. I tried calling multiple times after as well to reschedule but was on hold for 20-40 minutes. Then I called on May 5th to attempt again, my appointment that was scheduled got cancelled and I was notified on the app after I was able to log in, I did not cancel that appointment. I don't need a refund just please get me out of my contract, there's a bad taste in my mouth and I have decided for months of paying for a service that was withheld from me in the many attempts I made to call so I'm unsure where your records are stating I've only called one time. It seems like my money is getting played with, I genuinely have no interest to work with the company anymore. I've received I think 3 services in a year when I should have received one roughly every 4 weeks. I do not need a refund for the amount of money I paid into it which is more than I received in services. I want out on my contract as soon as possible because I've decided not to pay for something I can't receive, I'm not understanding how that's an insane request on my part. Last service I received for laser hair was in January and I've continued to pay up until recently. Please again, tell me, why should I pay more money to Ideal Image for services I can't receive at a place I'd prefer not to do business with? Please cancel my contract, that's my request. The contract should possibly been voided on your end already since you're not servicing me but forcing me to pay and wanting me to pay more to continue to have these issues with your company moving forward? No, thank you. Cancel it. I appreciate it.

Attached is the guests contract for review. The guest is not eligible for cancellation of contract.

      Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2022/08/23) */

"Refunds. Except in accordance with Section 4 of the Terms and Conditions and as may be required by state law, all fees and services are non-refundable." Thank you for not even providing section 4 in the terms of service within the agreement which genuinely only proved my point further as you're hiding those aspects in your sales process. Is your genuine response to send my contract after I've been robbed for months and not provided services? I would like to see that in the contract, if you cannot hold up your end of the contract, don't provide them. And back to my first regard, I haven't seen this contract, it was signed on my behalf via the sales representative and also is missing all of your terms of service, I only see viewable to me up to section two so thank you for providing me nothing, in services and via this contract. I have paid my portion well beyond what I have received after the refusal of service. I'm not receiving my services, I no longer want to pay for nothing. You're offering zero customer service to the point of embarrassment. Please respond to what I'm saying rather than ignoring all my words and request please. You're scamming and stealing my money, I deserve to at least receive a response nor did ideal image ever attempt to contact me during this time. The contract you provided said absolutely nothing but you're hiding terms of service so again, please cancel my contract. I have no interest and the disregard in no response makes my disgust even worse. I'm no longer asking for the money that was taken in this situation for services I did not receive, I wouldn't like to continue to pay for something you can't provide me. Please give a real response this time. I would like to cancel this contract, which you have full ability to do so please do not continue to lie to me.

I was interested in the services of ideal image. I was able to put down a deposit of $200 and was prepared to use the services that would total about $2,000. Unfortunately, there was a family emergency and I had a death in the family required me to travel. And with the way things are it is necessary to prioritze and choose what you can and can't do. Due to this situation, I was duped by Ideal Image and was not informed they are in the business of taking money without any services. When I informed them they agreed to cancel the services and refund the $200 deposit. However, they claim now that the deposit is non-refundable. How can Ideal Image be a company of integrity when operatng this way.

I am writing this complaint on behalf of a 21 year old foreign AuPair living with me. Ideal Image initiated some kind of Zoom call where they preyed on her limited understanding of the English language and convinced her to give them essentially every cent she's saved up as a downpayment for some type of treatments they offer and had her sign up for financing for even more! They took everything she had in her bank account ($3000) and put her on a payment plan for another $2500 plus. She told me she even asked for an interpreter during the call and the sales person said if she wanted that it would cost here even more. It is extremely clear to me she was taken advantage of and had no idea what she was signing up for. This girl can barely speak English! We have tried contacting the company numerous times over the past month and a half and we're always told that someone will call back and it just never happens. They took $3000, provided absolutely nothing in return and refuse to refund the money they took. Plus there is some financing money on top of it. As soon as she realized what was going on and they were charging her bank account she tried to cancel everything. This whole situation has been completely absurd. Any respectable company would just refund your money if you didn't want their services. Ideal Image took a huge chunk of money as a down payment for services, signed her up for financing to take even more money and has provided absolutely no services in return.

I received a postcard for $100.00 off my first service with Ideal Image. I called and requested information on their services. I was contacted and had a zoom meeting with Linda E******. I told her I wanted filler for the deep wrinkles above my lips and treatment for the discoloration on my face. I told her I had a coupon for $100.00 off my first treatment. She recommended I get the membership and I would get 1 free BBL treatment. I contracted to buy 1 filler treatment, 3 BBL treatments, a $250.00 membership, and sunscreen and cream for use with the BBL treatments. She scheduled my filler treatment for November 8,2021 and my first BBL treatment for November 23,2021. I received my filler on November 8, 2021. On November 22, 2021, they called and canceled my appointment and said they would reschedule me as soon as possible. I was rescheduled for January 12, 2022. On January 11, they called and canceled me again. I never heard anything from the scheduler again. Toward the end of February, I called the business and told them that I was waiting to be scheduled for my first BBL treatment after being canceled twice. I was told by the lady who answered that they were starting to schedule March appointments. I never got a call. In March of 2022, I called corporate and talked to Mary. She said she could get me an appointment in June or I could have a syringe of filler. I told her I didn't want filler but I was reluctant to schedule another appointment after the way things had gone. She said she could extend my membership. I told her I would need to think about it. I tried calling Mary back several times but never got in touch. I left a voice mail telling her that I really just wanted to end my relationship with Ideal Image. I finally heard back from her but she said they could not refund my membership fee because I had the filler and used my membership. I then received a Docusign saying that they would reimburse me for the 3 BBL treatments. They owe me $250 for membership fee

The guest is not eligible for a refund for the Lifetime Guarantee Membership as the guest got discounted pricing on the fillers that she used - therefore she has used the benefits of the membership. The contract states:
30-Day Right to Cancel and Receive a Refund. You have the right to cancel your LTG Membership within the first 30 days after the start of your Membership Term and receive a full refund, less a $20 processing fee, if you have not used any of the benefits of your LTG Membership.

      Consumer Response /* (3000, 6, 2022/08/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Why would I cancel my membership within 30 days when I had agreed to the January 12, 2022 appointment that was made for me after you canceled my November 23,2021 appointment? On January 11,2021, that appointment was canceled by your business. Then nothing from your scheduler. Explain to me what the cost of filler was after the $100.00 discount promised on my first service as stated on your postcard mail out to my address. Explain to me how I could be canceled twice both the day before my appointment and not be moved to the front of the line for my BBL. If I had known this was how I was going to be treated, I would have canceled and walked away.

      Business Response /* (4000, 8, 2022/08/12) */
We do apologize about the cancelled appointments but the guest is not eligible for a refund on the Lifetime Guarantee Membership as fully stated in the contract uploaded that is signed by the guest.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They need to provide me with a full financial breakdown of what discount I received that makes my membership fee non refundable. What was the price of Vobella filler before discount?

      Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2022/08/17) */
      As stated in the contract:
30-Day Right to Cancel and Receive a Refund. You have the right to cancel your LTG Membership within the first 30 days after the start of your Membership Term and receive a full refund, less a $20 processing fee, if you have not used any of the benefits of your LTG Membership.

The guest has been treated and received discounts on the services treated therefore the LTGM is non-refundable.

Vobella is $925.00/syringe without the LTGM discounted pricing.

      Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2022/08/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I had $100.00 off which would make it $825? I received it for $812.39. That is $12.61 discount. How about we remove all the discounts and start at $925. I paid $812.39. $925.00-$812.39=112.61. $112.61 +$20.00 cancellation fee=$132.61. $250.00 membership-$132.61 (full price for Vobella +cancellation fee) =$132.61 you would refund to me in check or another mutually agreed upon service or product.

      Business Response /* (4000, 16, 2022/08/19) */
There will be no refund for the LTGM.

      Consumer Response /* (4200, 18, 2022/08/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The $925 is not a reasonable cost for 1 syringe of Volbella filler. Even with my $100 discount from the postcard and the small discount from my membership, it is overpriced.
