I was trying to reserve a room at a *************. The website for HotelPlanner popped up and was falsely marketed as if it were the Wyndham website.I unknowingly booked. After I booked, I realized that the reservation came from ************* and not *******. I felt scammed because on the actual Wyndham website, the cost of the same hotel room was $50 cheaper. 15 minutes after I booked, I called the Hotel Planner customer service line to see if they would price match the hotel, and was prompted to either confirm or cancel my reservation. I pressed the number to cancel and was transferred to a agent. It all seemed legit and the agent was attentive and was going to look into price matching. Then he told me that by hitting the prompt to cancel meant that the room was automatically cancelled and I would be charged the penalty of a night stay for cancelling. This seems like a scam to ******* people out of money by intentionally marketing their link to appear that it is the actual hotel booking site.Furthermore, they make making changes to the reservation and/or request a price match impossible by confusing people into cancelling their reservation. So now I have no hotel room and my entire payment was taken from me as penalty. Scam. I want my money back.

Total scam. Their website is a clone of the ******** website, so you think you are booking with ******** directly. Then they, by default charge you for a cancellation policy (more like a cruise protection policy), then they add $118 of "taxes and fees" to your credit card. DO NOT USE.HotelPlanner.com

Was charged a refund protection cost which I did not authorize or it was not clearly stated during the call. When I asked for a refund, agent told me to ask the front desk when I checked in. Due to the reservation being through a third party, front desk could not do anything for me. Also, the type of room I requested (and was told was available) was not what was reserved for me. The front desk was kind enough to fix this mistake. I was clear I wanted a door separating the bed from the sleeper sofa and was told the suite I was getting would have this. Upon check in, the front desk asked questions and said the reservation was for a studio not a suite. Agent told me it was a suite with separation door. Very disappointed in the experience and dissatisfied with the customer service. I have requested a refund of the $28.74 - I hope this can be taken care of with more accuracy than the original reservation.HotelPlanner.com
