      Terrible Business! ZERO stars. They take advantage of people booking from a smartphone, it might be different from a PC. My story: I booked a ************* room in ************, ** with this company. I was shown a price of $129, which was acceptable to me. Then AFTER I clicked the confirm tab, I was shown a new price of $194.86. I was being charged an additional $65 in fees that were not previously disclosed. I thought this was bad business and deceitful. I called Clarion directly to terminate the reservation, which they did. Then I called the booking site directly and was told the booking was completely non-refundable. I called my credit card company, a **** through US Bank, and initially, they reversed the charges, but then a month later I received a letter from US Bank that agreed with HOTELPLANNER.com saying the transaction was non-refundable and my card was recharged the $194.86 PLUS interest charges for that time. The problem: this company DID NOT alert me of the full price BEFORE I clicked confirm. ****** learned: NEVER book through this or any third party, especially if you are doing it from your phone while you are on the road. I feel completely ripped off because I was required to pay the extra $65 in fees without prior knowledge. Since we didn't end up staying at the Clarion, I'd like to know who gets the $129 that was meant for the *************. I understand HotelPlanner will get their $65 in fees, but where is my $129 really going?

      Im trying to cancel a reservation and before I got a chance to explain my situation he transferred me. I have been trying to cancel a reservation for September 29 through October 1. I cannot get through to Fairfield Inn and suites in ****** **********. I have been trying for four days. I will be very upset if I am charged for this reservation because I am not able to cancel it.       This company is a farce, extraordinarily misleading, thinking we were booking directly with best western, saw one rate of 114.50, next thing we know my father was charged 225.00. He was under the assumption he was accidentally charged for 2 nights. We were staying in the hotel for my mother's funeral service and the hotel told us there was nothing they could do and we had to work with hotel planner. Bith my father (elderly) and myself have been trying to reach resolution with hotel planner customer support. They are absolutely horrible at customer service and resue to credit my father back for the difference in rate. This is SWITCH AND BAIT, at it finest folks. STAY AWAY from this company and make sure you are on the hotel site you wish to book with dire tly. This is a very misleading tactic. They use and they need to be held accountable.

      As previously mentioned in another review, When I called what I thought was the hotel, they billed me and booked a hotel room that was not available. I get to the hotel after driving for 9 hours and the hotel said it was too early for it to be booked in the morning (1am) and they were full. I still have not received my refund from this Hotelplanner.com! There was a hotel down the road where we were able to to get a room for the night for a few hours of sleep and a shower.
