After review of this complaint and investigation of the consumers information and documentation with our third-party data providers, Trident has closed this account. This correspondence contained all of the disclosures set forth in Section ****g of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Trident has no record that this correspondence was returned as undeliverable. On 9/12/2020, Trident mailed ************** a subsequent collection notice along with validation of the debt. On 10/13/2020, ************** called our office and requested a reduced balance offer to satisfy the debt. At this time no payments have been made on the account. ********************** has investigated and responded to disputes received from the credit bureaus.       I have no knowledge of this account ********** on my credit report This creditor is violating my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act - 15 U.S.C.**** section 602 - states I have the right to privacy. Under 15 U.S.C. **** section 604a section .2 also states a consumer an not furnish an account without my written instructions and consent. TRIDENT ASSET ******** is reporting I owe a debt of $801.00 to them and this is false. I do not have an account with them nor have they provided me with a copy of the contract I have with their company with my signature. This problem is causing a great hardship and I would like it to be resolved, and deleted from my credit report from each reporting bureau.

      Thank you for taking the time to read this. Im writing because I noticed that my most recent credit report contains a negative **** reported in 2020 (paid off in 2021) for my past due account.I want you to know that I understand my financial obligations, and if it werent for my financial situation as a student and the pandemic that led to the closing of my account, I would not have had the account sent to collections. I made a mistake in falling behind, but since then, I have paid off the account. Since then, *** had a spotless record of on-time payments.Im planning to apply for a mortgage this year and its come to my attention that the derogatory account on my record could hurt my ability to qualify. I truly believe that it doesnt reflect my creditworthiness and commitment to repaying my debts. It would help me immensely if you could give me a second chance and make a goodwill adjustment to remove the derogatory account from my credit record.Thank you for your consideration, and I hope youll approve my request.
