      The $730.90 debt in question is the balance on an Indigo Mastercard account with the ********************** account number **********. On 1/7/2020,Trident mailed an initial collection notice to ******* ***. This correspondence contained all the disclosures set forth in Section 1692g of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Trident has no record that this correspondence was returned as undeliverable.  Trident has investigated and responded to his dispute by sending him validation of the debt.  Trident investigated and matched the information on the complaint with the account information and documentation which was provided by the original creditor. This account is reported to the credit bureaus as a dispute.  Should ******* *** have any questions, he can contact Trident at ************, Monday Friday, 8:30 am 5:00 pm, EST.

      To Whom it may concern,This letter is to inform you that I recently received a copy of my credit report that your company publishes and after reviewing it I found a number of items on the report that are inaccurate. The accounts in question are listed below. Please send me copies of the documents that you have in your files as of this date that you used to verify the accuracy of the accounts listed below.       I recently discovered that a collection account has been added to my credit report without my knowledge or consent. I have never entered into any contractual agreement with this company, nor have I given them permission to collect any alleged debt on my behalf.Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) 15 U.S.C. 1692g, I have the right to request validation of this debt, which requires the company to provide a signed contract proving that I am legally responsible for it. Since no such agreement exists, this collection account is being reported unlawfully.Additionally, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2(b) mandates that all information furnished to credit bureaus must be accurate and verifiable. If the company cannot provide proper validation, they are in violation of federal law and must delete this account from my credit report immediately.

      TRIDENT ASSET MANAGEME Account Number: ********** This account is erroneously reported on my credit file and must be removed immediately. I have repeatedly and thoroughly disputed the accuracy of this account, providing substantial documentation and evidence that clearly demonstrate the information being reported is incorrect. Despite multiple written disputes that explicitly cite my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), this account remains on my credit report, causing severe and ongoing harm to my credit score and financial well-being.Under the ****, credit reporting agencies like ******** are legally obligated to ensure that all information reported is accurate, complete, and verifiable. The presence of this disputed account not only violates these statutory requirements but also undermines the fairness and accuracy of my credit history.       Dear Better Business Bureau,


      I have reviewed the response from Trident Asset Management, L.L.C., and it is completely unacceptable. The business claims they cannot locate my account using only my first name and middle initial, yet they are actively reporting a negative item on my credit report. If they are unable to verify my identity in their system, they have no legal basis for reporting this account to the credit bureaus.


      Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) 15 U.S.C. 1681, any company reporting information to consumer reporting agencies must ensure the information is accurate and verifiable. If Trident Asset Management, L.L.C. cannot validate this debt with proper documentationincluding the original creditor details, account information, and proof of their legal right to collectthen they are in violation of:
      FCRA 1681s-2(a): Prohibits furnishing inaccurate or unverifiable information to credit reporting agencies.
      FCRA 1681i(a)(5)(A): Requires the removal of information that cannot be verified.
      FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) 807 (15 U.S.C. 1692e): Prohibits false, deceptive, or misleading representations, including the reporting of debts that are not substantiated.


      If this account is not removed from my credit report immediately, I will be forced to pursue legal action against Trident Asset Management, L.L.C. for willful noncompliance and violations of the **** and FDCPA. I will also report this matter to the ************************************ (****) and take further legal steps to protect my consumer rights.


      I demand that Trident Asset Management, L.L.C. either:
      1. Provide full validation of the debt, including a signed contract or original creditor agreement proving this debt is mine and that they have the legal right to collect.
      2. Immediately remove this account from all credit bureaus, as they have already admitted they cannot locate my information in their system.


      Failure to comply within 7 days will result in legal action against Trident Asset Management, L.L.C. for violating federal laws, including seeking damages for unlawful credit reporting.


      Please advise the business to act accordingly and confirm in writing when this account has been removed.

      Ive paid on this account and yet the balance reflected is higher than what I was reported 11/2023. Im now checking my credit only to find out no payments have been reported to this account. This company is playing games, taking advantage, and running scams on individuals.
