I am writing to file a complaint about a problem I am experiencing with Equifax's credit reporting and credit repair services. I have been experiencing issues with my credit report for some time now, and I have been trying to work with Equifax to resolve them. However, despite my efforts, the problems have not been adequately addressed. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of progress on this matter, and I feel that Equifax has not been providing me with the level of service and support that I deserve as a consumer. I am particularly concerned about the impact that this issue is having on my ability to secure loans and credit, as it is causing me undue stress and financial hardship.I am reaching out to the BBB in the hope that you can help me resolve this issue and ensure that my rights as a consumer are protected. I would greatly appreciate any assistance that you can provide in this matter.I sent a letter to Equifax and it has been over 60 days and I have not received any information regarding my requests to fix incorrect information on my credit reports. According to the law 15 U.S. Code ****i: "Procedure in case of disputed accuracy. if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumers file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly, or indirectly through a reseller, of such dispute, the agency shall, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph (5), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer or reseller."

I spoke to another representative where we both went through my credit report. As we went through my credit score again, they told me it was inaccurate. As you review my credit score regarding you view that the company reported on my credit reports the same amount twice. As you review my credit score you see that ****** transferred and sold it to someone (unlisted). When you check under the installment account it's listed again under the department of education. As I told the rep, that completely dismissed me and made me feel lesser than others, under the fair report credit act I have the right to challenge inaccurate information that is not 100% correct. The ** department of education is not a collections company so how could it be sold to the same company? That makes the report inaccurate which needs to be disputed, Thank you. Furthermore, they reported I lived in two different states 7 different locations. That is not humanly possible. I currently live at *************************************************************. All this information is inaccurate and by law needs to be deleted. *************************************** Reported: ************* ******************************************************** Reported: 12/2022 ********************************************************************** Reported: 03/2021 ************************************************************ Reported: 02/2016 ****************************************************************** ************* Reported: 08/2019 ********************************************************* Reported: 08/2019

On June 16th, I sent a letter to Equifax stating they have violated my right to privacy in accordance with 15 U.S. Code **** (a)(4) - Congressional findings and statement of purpose (Consumer Right to Privacy) (a)Accuracy and fairness of credit reportingThe Congress makes the following findings: (4)There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. After showing that even ***** Nexis found that the information was found to be unverifiable and moved to delete it from their record. Where then does Equifax gets its verification from to willfully be non compliant? This has caused me great hardship.

I have attempted to have inaccuracies on my credit report corrected on multiple occasions, via email, phone and fax. All attempts have failed, either the issue is neglected or additional errors are made. I have attempted to have my complaint resolved through their management but to no avail. Other reporting agencies have corrected inaccuracies and have correct information. Equifax should be discredited and banned from performing credit reporting services.

If the consumer is accessing his file for free via Equifax online - he is only able to access this once a month and will be able to see all the changes then.  This generally happens around the 4th of the month - so he will be able to see all the changes as of February 4th.

I have addressed this multiple times to no corrections are deletions. I have sent letters that I have attached requesting items be removed due to permissible purpose and my right to privacy. Also there is late payments being reported that are inaccurate and violate laws that say they must include the transactions and experience not one or the other. I have requested this many times from them and they have failed to comply with laws. It is well past the time they have to do this and I should be seeking damages for each infraction. I would like this resolution immediately. Also there is a collection account that has failed to be verified and after this time period it must be deleted off my report.

This letter is a formal complaint that you are reporting inaccurate and incomplete credit information. I am distressed that you have included the information below in my credit profile and that you have failed to maintain reasonable procedures in our operations to assure maximum possible accuracy in the credit reports you publish. Credit reporting laws ensure that bureaus report only 100% accurate credit information. Also, under the 15 U.S. Code ****b Permissible purposes of consumer reports, every step must be taken to assure the information reported is completely accurate and correct. The following information therefore needs to be reinvestigated.I have contacted the creditors and have enclosed all documents to back up my claim. BBB is unable to locate the business.
I started my house hunting journey in August of 2022. I started by simply logging into Experian, Equifax, and transunion and requesting a full credit report. That is when the problems began. I noticed very early on that these three companies do no mind violating my consumer rights. Realizing there were MANY in-accuracies on my consumer report, I disputed through the three ONLINE portals, the law states , the information needs to be 100% accurate. They all responded , either updated or verifying everything I disputed. Kind of devastated, because this is causing me to get denied by lenders and putting a huge pause on my life. Determined , I ordered a TRI-merge credit report from *********, So i could simply compare all of the information these three credit beurres were reporting . This first report from ********* was on September 27th, 2022. After seeing these errors still apear on my credit report, I sent Experian, Equifax , and transunion a certified letter, asking them to do a proper investigation on all the accounts i had concerns about, and if the information was not 100% accurate to delete the account immediately.CERTIFIED MAIL was sent September 30 , 2022 and received by them October 3, 2022 EQUIFAX #******************** EXPERIAN #******************** TRANSUNION #******************** I then got a response back from all three, and not all three responding within 30 days . Experian specifically responded October 28, 2022, Report number ************, verifying, updating and deleting items, then stating they did a proper investigation on my account and everything is 100% accurate. Eqifax Responded October 29, 2022 report number **********, verifying, updating and deleting items, then stating they did a proper investigation on my account and everything is 100% accurate. Transunion responded , by mail November 5th. verifying, updating and deleting items, then stating they did a proper investigation on my account and everything is 100% accurate. The Credit bureaus stated my account was properly investigated but how is that possible if the open date is inaccurate, the date last active is inaccurate, and date last reported is not accurate. Not to mention, there are accounts being reported on experian and transunion that are not being reported by equifax. This IS grounds for removal, and they also violated my rights under 15 U.S.C **** section 602 A: States I have the right to privacy.15 U.S.C **** Section 604 A Section 2: It also states a consumer reporting agency cannot furnish a account without my written instructions.Transunion took more than 30 days to complete my investigation , my certified mail is above. With this many violations I sent in my first complaint with the ***** DATES and full investigations are attached below. This will be my second complaint. I had responses from all three within 3 weeks. Experian being my ABSOULTE worst experience . VERIFIED everything instantly and sent me some automated response saying they did a proper investigation and i should pay anyone to fix my credit. In accordance with the ********************** and the several other violations, i would like the following account deleted IMMEDIATELY off of my consumer report.Account name: *********** Account number:517805 Account name: ********************* Account number: ****** Account name: HUNTINGTON BANK Account number: ******
