My credit report and score have not been updated by Equifax since February 2022. I have called them multiple times explaining that the website is asking me to call customer ********************** and they never address the issue. When I ask to speak to a manager they refuse to send me to one and fail to address the problem. The solution is always " Your account has been reset check again in half an hour" which now hasn't worked for over 6months. I am at my wit's end trying to get phone assistance which is why I am reaching out to BBB.Business Response

15 Sep: Asked Equifax for a new credit file to be mailed to me with changes made recently.21 Sep: New credit reports mailed out - received Oct 4th.Received 2 credit reports - but not mine - delivered to my mailbox in ***********. My Korean address inserted below the person's name. Both are many pages and complete. 5 Oct : Reported to Equifax, Ara (AXF208) told to mail them back. - no receiver, just a mailbox and no phone number provided. - Unacceptable to me and ***** postal for international mail - signature required. gave her confirmation numbers from the credit reports. but couldn't help further. passed to Oct 5: Supervisor ****** (SXC 619) - told me to destroy them. Told him this was unacceptable as there may be police reports out on ID thefts from the 2 reports. How can I confirm they were destroyed? No help on my mis-mailed report sent to whom?Oct 6: Called ***************** no help. Called ******* police - no help.Oct 7: called Equifax again: Carene (MXM1016) Told to mail them to a postal box - which doesn't accept signatures or international mail. Confirmed by her that this was so.passed to ***** (X5T) told to destroy them. Again - what about police reports from the 2 persons?passed on to ****** 9C9) Nothing he could do.Passed on to ***************** would ask his mgt. for an international mail pouch and delivery to my home to return the Credit Reports. Waiting for his answer. He couldn't trace MY report which was sent out on Sep. 21st. gave him the confirmation numbers of the 2 others and saw the mailing errors. ***** was involved in mailing MY report and was shocked at the screwups. ***** even identified one of the other persons credit report that he worked on.Total time calling Equifax - 5.5 hours. plus time with police depts. - Times are late night and after midnight (I'm in the ***** time zone).Desired outcome: Better training, receiving accurate information, QA on mailing out with traceability.Business Response

I have fought for the last several years to have this removed from my account. I even went to court and won against the company. Even when they keep calling I even try to dispute again on phone and provide court documents that can be LOOKED UP. The company refused to remove it, this has counted again my insurance payments which have gone up by 500 bucks on my home and 200 ish on my car. When there is something negative on your credit it is used against you. Now, I'm not giving the care company 30 days to remove I want it off as of the day they get this letter which everyone is ignoring. which after this I will be seeking damages from someone. I don't understand and feel these companies are getting paid to provide false information to the credit company, and this has been the proof. Each time I have disputed they come right back and keep it on there. I just am tired of it, and it has caused a problem. They knew their attorney went to court and HE LOST. I have dealt with id theft, and this company which I welcome in any court to defend myself puts you through a lot. here's the proof they keep ignoring, the case number, etc is here and I will not be providing or defending anymore. I have enough proof of damages. I'm emotionally drained, by Portfolio Recovery providing false information to the Credit company, knowing they went to the court how long, and still calling and reporting as of today. My spouse and I both had our personal data (SS#, birthdate, legal name, etc.) compromised with a computer hack. I was advised this should be reported to the credit bureaus. Equifax is the first one I called. They then offered to sell me personal protection for our accounts with all this sensitive data. They charged my credit card 3 times within minutes for the monthly fee for this protection. Two charges of ***** and 1 charge *****. Then they told me it did not go thru on their end having technical problems. I told them it looked like it did as the charges were showing pending. They then convinced me to try a different credit card because of this problem. I gave them another card with the $***** showing pending as well. They said it did not work on their end either. Also there are multiple phone numbers to call them about issues. It is mind boggling to keep it straight. They were supposed to call me back which they did not. This company is terrible and should not be handling credit information services. I will cancel my service with them if I can figure out how. I froze my credit card accounts and called services to dispute these charges. They advised they have my complaint but will have to wait until they post so the charges can be disputed.Business Response

I just checked my credit score and Equifax has unfairly dropped my score 89 points since Oct 9th, not due to late payments but because I used my credit cards. I am in the process of buying a home and I had to call Equifax several times for the same request and they seem to not understand what I am asking but it is very exhausting. First of all they do not have my correct address in their automated system, second - when they ask me to use an app to verify my identity it does not work right it is a complete waste of time. This credit reporting company has purpose kept my credit score down with out proof or reason. I have no outstanding debut or claims against me with expectation to one item over the past 12 years and I work like a formal investigation into their practice. They are using 1 small $200.00 bill with a gas company to keep my credit score at or around 700 which is basically the same as discriminations. I have outstanding payment history and have settle all my debuts and paid all money I have own on any major loan. I also have an impressive on time payment history in which I had to force them to investigate for item they had posted due to a disgruntled employee from a loan company for my first home purchase in the state of Kentucky. This consistent incorrect and unfair bias credit report on my person is effecting my ability to obtain good rates for items I should not be denied access to. I even attempted to resolve this small bill amount but the gas company who stated it was an issue would not allow me to. Recently this has effect my rates for obtain fair payment structure on rental homes which is crazy. How can you have a Transunion credit score of 828 and a FICO of 710? Even my main banker ********** has my credit score about 740. This is unfair and inaccurate credit reporting on someone who is financially strong and had a very good payment history over the past 15 years I want a full investigation and will provide whatever is need to get this resolved. If the result of this investigation prove they have incorrectly been reporting my credit I will be pursing full legal action against Equifax unless they remedy the issue with 30 business days after the investigation is concluded.
