This company has been constantly Unauthorized without my consent posting bad ratings on my Credit Profile that has tremendously stopped me from getting employment they allow anyone and everyone as long as they get paid to put data on my credit profile without my sign consent and continuously selling my data without my sign consent constantly hurting my character and my credibility making it very difficult for me to to sleep and get a new job or build my credit profile for a better life. And this company just let anyone give them incorrect information without it being verified with them not even doing any research on their own which keeps a negatively impact on my profile which I think they need to be investigated, I would like for them to remove all negative reporting on my profile and updated immediately.Business Response

Equifax continues to report 2 dismissed chapter 13 bankruptcies and a chapter 7 Bankruptcy case on my credit report and refuses to remove them as bankruptcies are not reported by the bankruptcy court and they use a third-party data mining service to find public records to add them to credit files. Per law items on credit reports are required to be reported by the actual date furnisher and the Bankruptcy court does not verify any bankruptcy disputes as they do not repot and when disputed Transunion does not send a dispute letter to the court just their third-party data furnisher that shows there is a public record that exists.Case Numbers 16-15640, 18-16542, 20-13801Business Response

Since my first complaint didn't, go or set so well, with you'll: then I'm trying to reset my presentation, and wording to make more sense, and acceptable to your satisfaction! Equifax insist on submitting, and reporting illegal info, on my credit report! Their constant failure, and refusals to remove: such info is unacceptable, and prohibited according to the laws of the land! The Laws of the Land, that should had blocked, and or prevented; Equifax from such rendition are(Judgment Proof Protection Exemption Income, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Time Barred Statue of Limitations Law)! Its these laws/acts, that should: make or qualify the info, to be completely removed, from my credit report! For the record, these same Laws or Acts were applied, and executed in their colleague's(Transunion), decision making, findings, and final rendition! Could you'll help, or intervene with trying; to get the same outcome, and resolution with Equifax???Business Response

There are three Laws or Acts; that qualifies, supports, backs, in alignment with, and justify my request to, assist the inaccurate submission, and illegal reporting be deleted, as well as removed, from my report! They're as following: Judgment Proof Protection Exemption Income, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Time Barred Statue of Limitations! Out of all these laws/acts, it was the Judgment Proof Protection Exemption Income; that really stripped them, from their main privilege: to file lawsuits, litigation activities, proceedings, and attempt to collect, on any past debts owed! The Law, and Previous Legal Advocates(LASPD), made that known to, all Creditors involved with this matter! Which happened in May of 2017! Also all accts/debts were closed, in delinquent, and charged-off within that same time frame or yr(2017)! They were advised, told, and sent a cease, and desist letter: explaining the law(s), and to stop all collections, and attempts to collect on, any debts that's now non-collectible! Fair Credit Reporting Act prohibit, Creditors or Third parties from: attempting to collect on such debts, in trying to start or turn back the clock, to do such thing, and trick the consumer in the process, and passing such info to, The Credit ****************** to, do their dirty laundry, and display such info, on the consumer's credit report, and The Time Barred Statue of Limitations Law: came into play when, the clock started back, in 2017, and they weren't able to, and stripped of their legal rights/privileges! In the **************, its four to five yrs: any collection agencies, Third parties, and or Creditors themselves have to, do anything legally against the consumer!Initial Complaint

I have been trying to build my credit. A while back, my credit score was a 642. Now it is somewhere near a 710. I went to buy a car yesterday, and they use equifax. When he got the report and told me my score, I knew that wasn't right. On the report it stated that my s pre was a 642, and a infinity suv that I totaled 4 years ago was still showing as a active loan. So the dealorship was trying to give me a higher interest rate because of this. That car loan has been closed for 4 years so that report is not current or up to date. I contacted equifax and they told me there was nothing I could do except them mailing me my report in 2 days. But what he failed to understand and realize is that banks that are using this report to offer me a loan think I am buying a second vehicle and my score is 642. The guy on the phone told me to just show them my score from the website. But that isn't how it works! I miss one payment and my credit takes a hit... Equifax doesn't update their report on me for years! And nothing! And now I'm stuck with a higher interest rate because they couldn't update their report on me! I would like some type of compensation to cover for this high interest rate I am stuck with now because of this! And I want my report updated so that next time I buy a car, it shows my true standings with equifax!Business Response

My Social security number is 524-86-6974 and my DOB is 05/06/1970.There is a Chapter 13 dismissed Bankruptcy on my credit report. This was filed in error with the court, Because the court no longer recognizes the case, the credit bureau should not either. I have asked them to remove the account from my credit report and Experian has refused. Because the court does not recognize this as a valid case because it was filed in error - it should be removed from my credit report. I want to know who verified this to the court as an accurate legitimate case as it is not - again - it was filed in error.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I have already disputed this item with you several times. Each time Equifax left it on my credit disclosure that was mailed me. For you to say that you contacted the furnisher, in this case the bankruptcy court, is an outright lie. I challenge you, Equifax, to produce your documentation that you have been in contact with the court. I HAVE been in contact with the court and they said no one from Equifax has contacted them about this case.
In short I am asking you to back up your response here and provide the documentation that you reached out to the court or I re-iterate my request for you to immediately remove this item.

All technology runs on code. We found an error in the code that was in place for a few weeks, and the code may have impacted how lenders calculated a small number of scores. We take this issue very seriously and know that you depend on our data being accurate and complete.
Our analysis of this issue indicates that there was no shift in the majority of scores during the timeframe of the coding issue. Attributes and scores are only one component of most lending decisions. If you were attempting to obtain credit between March 17 and April 6, 2022, we advise that you reach out to the lender for more information.
We take this issue very seriously and can confirm that our analysis shows that the majority of consumers who may have been scored by lenders or service providers during the few weeks that the coding error was in place experienced no change to their scores. If the consumer was attempting to obtain credit during that time frame, we advise that they reach out to the lender for more information.
While we do not believe this incident impacted Equifax Credit , we suggest that the cosnumer review a current copy of their Equifax Credit Report for accuracy. They may obtain a free copy from www.annualcreditreport.com and dispute any inaccurate information on our website at www.myequifax.com.Please advise the consumer that a copy of their credit report has been mailed to them. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for delivery.
