      My husband whose name is on the account passed over a year ago. I have made numerous calls and have mailed all of the requested verification documents at least five times finally talked to someone who gave me the fax number so I sent 5 pages to them. There were no errors and documented that fax was received on their end. Again I get billed so I call and again am told they havent received anything the man kept saying I did a manual search which took like 3 minutes and there wasnt anything. I agree one item might get lost but not five mailed and one faxed request to close account. Even though I call from the same number each time have all the information they ask me for they wont close the acct. Theres no way to win unless I drive there and personally walk in and personally watch them close the account. Im at a loss as what to do. Terrible company!

      Experians login procedure is a joke. They require you to enter your username and password, but if you haven't logged in in several years, chances are good, you've forgotten the username and password, and have since purchased a new cell phone. Once you click on forgot username/password, experience goes on to request ALL of your personal information, with the understanding that they will allow you to retrieve your login credentials via email, etc. After you submit all of your information, they tell you to wait 15 minutes for the email to arrive, but it never does. Spam folder has been checked, etc. The email was never sent to begin with, and why should anyone have to wait 15 minutes for an auto default email? There are no options on the site to contact customer support, but considering who we're talking about, support is not likely. The big 3 need to be shut down and after s******* people for years, this opinion is universal. All 3 certsinly **** universally, that's for sure. How inept must one be to work there? PayPal wasn't hiring? What a joke!

      Unbelievably terrible service. It's unrealistic we allow this incompetent company to be in charge of something as important as credit reports in ******. This needs absolutely immediate change. This past month I spent 10 combined hours on the phone with equifax, everytime the first hour on the phone is the same, them pretending there isn't a problem, realize there is, realize they can't fix it and then telling me they will escalate it and to call back in a week. Yesterday they had to audacity to charge my account for the service that hasn't been working so I called to ask they reverse that payment just for them to cancel my account. Then when I call back and wait an hour they respond that "hmm, doesn't look like you have an account with equifax would you like to sign up?"Competency is below 0. Equifax needs to be immediately shut down.

      They will not remove an incorrect birth year from my account. The other two (Experian and Transunion) have my correct birth year (****). Equifax has erroneously put my birth year as ****. I have never entered this birth year anywhere. It is completely their fault and is causing me issues with student loans. I have sent a letter and have just attempted to file a dispute online which they originally told me I could not do. Completely ridiculous I don't have the rights to change MY information on MY account. Please, can we shut these credit reporting agencies down? Or at least give us a choice to who we have handle our credit scores? It should be illegal what Equifax is doing.

      I accepted an offer to pay for access to my report online for **** for a month with option to cancel. This was in February 2022. On March 22, I cancelled my subscription and received confirmation. However, they still charged my credit card the full amount. I called and told them this was supposed to be cancelled and they said they would ensure it was cancelled on their end and remove my credit card information and refund my money in 5 days. After waiting weeks, I called again in April and was told it would be 30 days because it needed to be reviewed. Again, 30 days passed and still not refunded. Called again in May and it was escalated and was told it should be done in a week. NOTHING. Called again 2 weeks ago (June) *** was told it would be refunded in 24 hours, well guess what? STILL NOT REFUNDED!!! This is beyond unacceptable!!!! You sell a product to a customer, and don't hold up your end of the agreement and keep my money after illegally charging my card!! THIS IS FRAUD
