This company wants me to pay $44.99 to this company. I do not know why, I did not sign up for NWC ****************. This sounds like a scam.

    Hi ****,

Thank you for reaching out and allowing us the opportunity to resolve this for you.

We completely understand your concerns regarding the account.

NeighborWho can help you learn more about your neighbors and properties in your neighborhood. You can get property details on houses on your street, current and past owners, and public records on people living nearby. We aggregate public records such as deeds and assessments to compile in-depth reports on properties & people, which may include more information than you find on sites like Zillow or Trulia.

NeighborWho wants our customers to be aware of the billing prior to creating an account with us.

When signing up for our services the terms and conditions in addition to the privacy policy are required to be agreed to prior to signing up. Each customer must agree to these terms before successfully creating the account. This way our customers confirm they are fully aware of the charges including the date to cancel the trial.

The account was created on 03/22/25 with our $1.00 7-day trial. Upon further review, it appears we did not receive a request to cancel prior to the end of the trial. In that event, we attempted to automatically renew your service to the monthly subscription of $44.99.

Additionally, we have reviewed the identifying details provided and can confirm that your full name, email address, phone number, and zip code matches the information associated with the account.

Furthermore, please be assured that your account was canceled and you were issued a refund of $44.99. The refund was processed immediately on our end, however, please note that it may take up to 10 days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement depending on your financial institution.

On May 14, 2025, I signed up for a trial membership (for 7 days) with Neighbor Who to find more information about a few individuals. I was not interested in continuing the subscription beyond the 7 days, so I contacted them yesterday via email, asking them to please cancel my membership. The response I received claimed that they could not find an account in my name or with my email address, and would need my account number, which they claimed was included in the welcoming email I received. I took photos of the membership agreement when I signed up and did not receive a welcoming email or an account number. I was also blocked from trying to log into the website to find this information. This is clearly a scam operation which should be shut down for the protection of consumers.

    Hi *******,

Thank you for reaching out and allowing us the opportunity to resolve this for you.

We do apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.

We were able to locate your account using your first/last name and billing zip code.

It appears that the account is associated to a different email address and there was a typo with your phone number that is why our automated support was not able to locate your account right away.

Furthermore, please be assured that your account is now cancelled, as you requested. If you have any paid time remaining in your plan, you still have access for the remainder of that time, however you will not be billed going forward.

We're sorry to see you go, but glad you were able to try out our website. Please know that you always have access to log back in and reactivate if you need our services again in the future.

As part of testing the service of NeighborWho.com, I tested this website. After that, I've been receiving monthly charges. I never received communication or informing to me that I will continue receiving charge from this Company. Today, I called them and they requested me to send a mail. I selected on the phone to cancel the service, and at the end they said that there was a problem cancelling the service.if required, I will be able to provide bank statements showing monthly charges. I am requesting refunds from Jan-24 to Apr-25.
