Horrible - Dishonest - ************************** Lie about contracts They lie right off the bat when they call you. At least the guy who calls to hook you speaks your language. After that it's accents you can't translate from call centers with a million other voices in the background. I agreed to their services in 2018 with free first month and 6th month. That was a lie. Never hapenned! Tried the customer service on that. Of course they say they don't know anything about that.Customer service person I can't understand. Ask if there is someone who can speak better English and am told "NO" Can't email me. Doesn't care. Over the years, they have added about $25 to my bill. Bogus taxes - unexplained "Other Charges" Got a letter a few months ago with a bill. The bill was for my gradually ever-increasing bill amount, the letter says I'm being charged another $20+ for some other taxes they had failed to include on my bill for the last year. Paid that.Couldn't bring myself to suffer through a useless episode with overseas customer service agent.Finally sick of them, switched the line over to a cell with ******** Lingo continuing to bill me for a service they have not been providing for two months.Paid it once. The second time I call ***************** Hung up on. Call again 15 minutes on hold - another guy I can't understand. What I am able to get from him:******* didn't notify them (A lie, ******* can't use the number until Lingo releases it - I waited several days for that to happen)I am suppose to still owe the bills + more to come which will include a $200 Early termination charge!!! Say I am under some other contract that they can't provide me with. Just simply a lying scamming company .By the way, they were called Birch Communications when I signed up. They changed to Lingo somewhere along the line.Not BBB accredited - No shock there I'll update this when I get my next statement.Lingo Communications, LLC

We have reviewed the account and see that the customer was charged for taxes that ********************** was paying on his behalf, but the charges were not being passed onto the customers. We do apologize but once the error was confirmed we did have to back bill some of the charges. None of the affected customers were backbilled for the full amount. We do show that the customer contacted us to close his account and a ticket is currently open to close the account and backdate to 9/16/22 which is the date the service was moved from Lingo. Lingo does not deserve even 1 star! Starting in July of this year (it's now Oct. 27), my experience with Lingo has been the same as that of the previous reviewers here:1) Landline dial out service stopped, even though our automatic bill-paying was current; we did not owe anything; our phone message said "service has been disconnected."2) Lousy customer service which required repeated phone calls to "customer service" (ha!) representatives with thick accents who are barely intelligible.3) Attempt to disconnect met a variety of obstacles for almost 2 weeks. I finally switched to ATT&T to keep my same telephone number even though Lingo tried to take it away.4) In August, I cancelled the new Lingo number that Lingo gave me but am still being billed automatically $114.50/month.5) Today, I called Lingo customer service one last time to demand cancellation of the Lingo number and request reimbursement for the phone line that I have never used. After 10 minutes of back and forth, the incoherent woman who spoke with me refused to let me speak to her manager. (Typical lie this time and previously: "the manager is in a meeting.")6) This representative said Lingo would take " 3 to 5 business days" to disconnect and refused to tell me why it would take so long. However, she promised to process the discontinuation of my automated bank withdrawals.Bottom line: LINGO IS FRADULENT WITH MISERABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!So, now, I will stay with **** because I need this landline for my business and family medical issues.Lingo Communications, LLC

We have reviewed the account and see that a request was submitted to close the account. Once that order completes the account will backdate to August and apply any needed credits. This will occur on the billing cycle on 11/04/22. Less than one star....customer service is almost non existent. I felt like I was talking Greek to them and they were talking East Indian to me. I tried calling customer service at first. Finally, after eleven calls, I was able to establish a trouble ticket. They promised a call to me with a schedule for repairs. Never received a call. So, I called them back the next day to get a schedule. The repairman never showed up. This went on for a week. I had to drive **** miles to get a a signal to call on my cell phone . My wife is severely handicapped so, I had to leave her alone at home to make the calls. Since I was having no luck with calling customer service, I decided to send emails. It was cheaper than driving and I didnt have to leave my wife alone. Email worked out better in that respect but, all the schedules were the same. No shows. I lost service September 20th about 11:00 am. I emailed them today, October 17th for another schedule. My new schedule is October 18, 2022 by 6:00 pm. The kicker to this story is, I have a neighbor with phone problems. The repairman has been out twice in the last two weeks. Same repair company. A different provider. Lingo communications is not a reliable service.Lingo Communications, LLC

We sincerely apologize for the delay in resolving your issue. We are waiting for the **** contractors to bring up more slack so that your lines can be respliced. The lines belong to **** so we are at their mercy as to when they can get a contractor out to resolve the issue. We did issue credit for your September invoice and you account currently reflects a $0.00 balance. We are currently being advised that the commit date has now been moved to 10/28/22 and we are not able to escalate to obtain a sooner date. Not even a one star worthy! My mothers phone has been out of service for 4 weeks ! We have called multiple times spoke to multiple people who are always going to call me back ! I have received 2 calls in the last 4 weeks and still nothing resolved . This is not the first time although it has been the longest ! **************** training could go a long way with this company !!! If you need a phone that has good service communications DO NOT GET LINGO . inside tech said it was outside and he couldnt work on lines outside , outside tech says its inside tech and he cant work on inside ! She pays extra to have inside repairs covered also. I have read other reviews and wish I had seen them before my mother received this service !!! It is not a dependable or reliable company ! CONCERNED FOR ANY ELDERLY PERSON THAT RELIES ON THIS SERVICE !!!Lingo Communications, LLC

The reviews I have read about this company are accurate. I called to cancel their service because my grandfather kept having issues with the lines not operating. Lingo told us that the lines were having issues due to there being water in them. My grandfather has refused to pay for the time that he was without a phone. We asked for a supervisor and were told we could not speak to one. Their customer service is horrible! ********************** is still sending him bills and the service was canceled months ago. DO NOT GET A PHONE with this company.The ONLY reason they are receiving a star is due to my having to have one selected.Lingo, you will not be receiving money for a service you did not provide!How can you charge people when the service you provide is down due to issues that are not related to the customer?We will go to court if this is not resolved!Lingo Communications, LLC

Terrible customer service. I called back in August to have my service discontinued (no more land line) which they said they did (ticket ******). Then, a couple weeks later a new invoice was issued (called and got a new ticket number)... now, nearly a month later the invoice is still in there and is due 9/25 and will soon be considered overdue. The person on the phone was of no help and could only issue another ticket # -- and said it could be 30 days for billing disputes! Totally crazy...Lingo Communications, LLC

If I could give Lingo a 0 ! My Mother got them. She passed and they kept charging us even after they made us send the death certificate. This last phone bill the did say we would get a refund of half of it but in 110 BUSINESS DAYS!!! 4 months away!!! Stay away!!!Lingo Communications, LLC

Lingo is a scam company! BUYER BEWARE! Their sales rep lied just to get me to switch from AT & T to Lingo. I told them I could not switch because I had signed a contract that was only two months old. The sales rep told me that they partnered with **** and that the early termination fee would be waived. BIG FAT LIE! I found out from the **** technician that **** was still provided my phone line. Now I was going to be paying LINGO! Lingo said my monthly bill would be reduced but it actually cost me more per month. Trying to cancel Lingo was a complete nightmare. Their customer service reps keep repeating the same thing over and over again. I got a e mail from Lingo saying that my account had been cancelled. When I called to confirm, I was told that it had not been cancelled even though I spoke to a Lingo rep and he assured me it had been cancelled. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! My elderly Mother was getting charged $70 a month for her home phone service, so we called to cancel it. We called on July 22 to cancel and also called on July 26 to find out why it wasn't shut off yet. The representative stated that the order had been put in, but because they were so short staffed she was not sure when it would be canceled. She also stated that when it was cancelled that we would get a final bill and we could call and dispute the charges. In August my Mom got a bill for $111, the company had done a audit of my Moms prior bills and found that they had failed to add her 911 fee to her bill for a year and they made her pay for their error. Two months after calling to cancel, the service still was not shut off and she is still receiving bills. I called again today to dispute the bill and the rep ask why, I stated that we called to cancel it in July. The rep told me that the order to cancel was not put in until August. He said I should wait until we get the final bill then call to dispute the charges. I reported this company to the BBB and they are not even bothering to respond to the complaint or resolve any issues.Lingo Communications, LLC
