    Multiple times I attempted to cancel my streaming subscription to The Weather Channel through their website, as per the instructions from their billing company. The website is not working to do so and it kept booting me out. I contacted The Weather Channel tech support via email. For two days, I got the runaround from their tech support. Then they were supposed to escalate it elsewhere. I told them I had enough and to just cancel it. I never heard back.

    In September of 2023, we signed up for the Weather Channel streaming service to use in conjunction with our Amazon Prime subscription. They accepted our payment of ***** plus taxes (a one year fee)and then about two weeks later, charged us again automatically, another ***** plus tax yearly fee. We contacted them, they apologized, and said their dedicated team was looking into the issue. *** sent copies of the emailed charges to them, theyve still said theyre looking into it. They have said they were going to refund the second charge. Still after many emails with a woman named ********************* at twc /freshdesk, obviously in another country ( probably twenty five emails later) still nothing. Ive contacted the Weather Channel here in the U.S. as well, they say they have nothing to do with the charges, as they are handled by the freshdesk company. Two separate companies. No help from them. Ive now received an email saying the ticket was closed. No explanation.

    I have a subscription for the weather channel through Amazon. About two months ago I realized I could not log in on my fire stick or fire tv. I reached out to customer service via email as there is no other option. They asked me to update the app, clear cache, uninstall and reinstall the app. After all attempts nothing works, when attempting to log in I only have the option to pay for a new subscription that I already have paid for and is good through 7/2024. On March 10th I was told my issue washing be elevated to the dedicated team to be resolved. . Over a month later there has been no communication from the dedicated team and I still cant log in. *** attempted many times to Log in and still it does not work. I requested a refund via the email correspondence and am still being told its been forwarded to the dedicated team for resolution.. this is beyond ridiculous.

    With the newest Weather Channel iPhone app update, it forces you to input personal information with no option to bypass this. This is not the free version of the app I have. I pay for an annual subscription. This app should have an option to bypass this and use as I have for the last couple of years as I don't care about a person experience.

    I subscribed to the weather channel for a couple of months. The company required that you have a payment card on file. After those few months I canceled the subscription and my balance was fully paid. For a few months the company acknowledged my cancellation and I was not billed further. Then on November 20, 2023 this same company renewed my subscription and billed me without my request, consent or authorization. They evidently kept my payment information from the previous subscription and used it to bill me. You can not call the Weather Company the only contact is through email. I have contacted them numerous times but have been getting the run around and they refuse to refund me. I have canceled again. This company is taking it upon themselves to renew subscriptions of previous customers without the knowledge of the customer. The customer has no idea until they see they were billed and payment has already been taken from their previous payment method. I'm quite sure this is illegal

    I can absolutely understand the frustration you are experiencing with this subscription.  If you could share some additional information so that we can engage the correct teams to resolve this issue.  There are 2 companies that share The Weather Channel brand and offer subscriptions.  

    The Weather Group manages network/streaming subscriptions that provides streaming services to TV devices such as *********************************** Xfinity Flex and more.  This subscription is limited to TV devices.

    The Weather Company subscription provides ad-free weather and better planning tools for our mobile app and weather.com.  This subscription is purchased through the App Store/Play Store or from weather.com/subscribe. 

    Could you provide which subscription you may have originally purchased? I am from The Weather Company and do not see an active mobile app or web subscription under the email in this complaint.  Any additional information will help us engage the correct teams.

    The business is requesting my email address for purpose of issuing a refund. My email address is *********************

    I have attached a screenshot of the original message the weather channel sent to my phone. This was an acknowledgement that I did cancel the subscription and when. It was from this point  that the weather channel took it upon themselves to continue to bill me without my authorization or consent. IF a refund is issued and the company does not  attempt to bill me further or resubscribe me  I will be satisfied and will consider this matter closed.

    I signed up for what I thought was going to be "The Weather Channel" for a free trial and the $2.99 a month plan. When I found out that the plan I signed up for was not what I expected, I then canceled the plan before the free trial ended. Now they are charging me $2.99 a month and I have not been able to reach them or find out how contact them about this problem.

    Weather channel streaming service will not let members cancel their paying subscription on their site. Redirects you to cleeng which will not allow u to log into. Support from weather channel useless, keeps directing me to go to my account on ***************************************** site which does not allow you to cancel. Cleeng is an unethical third party that deducts money for service through your account, they are all about retention, not about helping weather channel customers. I will have to block payments from my bank because of their refusal to help. This is not the first complaint this company has had about this problem

    I really do not like the new Local on the 8s format in your Cable/TV broadcasts. The old format actually was for my local community. It provided us with a great (in-depth) forecast that gave us a good idea of what we could expect. The new format is technically a regional forecast. It covers four regions and does not give us the kind of in-depth local information that we have come to rely on from The Weather Channel. You cant really call this new format a local forecast. Very disappointing.***********************************

    I do appreciate your willingness to take my feedback seriously.  I was in the news media for many years and have been a staunch supporter of the Weather Channel since its inception in the early 1980s.  I appreciate the professionalism of everyone involved in putting together your broadcasts.  It is amazing to me just how far the technology of weather forecasting has progressed over the years.  We really do depend on the vital information that your company provides to us.

    I have been trying to cancel my subscription since February 2023. I was unsuccessful using the online login, so I contacted support on March 3rd. We went back and forth with questions and answers and it's now June 6th and I was just charged again. I want a refund for February, March, April, May, and June and I want my account permanently cancelled.

    On May 10, 2023 I signed up for a free 7 day trial of the Weather Channel. I had to provide my credit card information in order to activate the free trial. As of today May 11, 2023 I attempted to cancel the free trial as I realized that I am not receiving any extra benefits from the free trial that is not already offered by my cable provider. Weather Channel provides no mechanism to cancel the free 7 day trial. I want my free trial and subscription cancelled immediately.
