If youre looking for pest control, DO NOT use Orkinthats the main point of this post and if you care to read on Ill explain why. Weve lived in ************ ** for 11 years now and have never had a pest problem. I always sprayed my yard with Cutter Backyard Bug Control and used ORTHO Home Defense around the perimeter of the house, all openings and inside. I guess I just got lazy and decided to throw away $30 per month and use Orkin ************ services instead of my own tried and true methods. We signed up for Orkins pest control exactly 1 year ago and last month (July 2022) we had an ant and wasp problem. Orkin initially came out (August 2021) and sprayed the interior and perimeter of the home and then returned on a quarterly basis to treat the perimeter of the home with the guarantee if we ran into any pest problems they would come out and spot treat for free. We called them the 1st part of July 2022 and informed them we had a bunch of ants around our kitchen sink. Orkin responded and put some ant bait around the sink area and told us to leave them alone and not do anything for a week and let the ants take the poison to kill the colony. After a week we still had ants, Orkin returned and put down more ant bait and didnt do anything for another week. We called and complained once again that we had ants and now wasps in our home, the Orkin technician immediately respond and put down 3 different baits all around our kitchen area and we had to wait another week. Now eventually a person gets tired of calling and complaining about the same thing and begins to wonder if this is worth the $30 per month for these professional services and elevates the issue higher in the chain of Orkin command. So far, the best excuse Ive been given for the ant problem is Well its hot outside and theyre trying to get in where its cool. Now, I cant exactly blame the ants for that but again living in LA for 11 years it gets hot every summer and weve never had a problem beforRollins, Inc.

Thank you for your feedback! The Service Manager performed a full new service inside and out. He found two possible sources of ********* ants, one in a log pile within 10 feet of home and second was in a Japanese maple in the front yard. He also found several fire ant beds throughout the front and backyard. He provided a liquid treatment around the outside and granulated the entire yard for ants, they also spot treated with liquid all fire ant mounds. Dusted all the weep holes around the entire home.
The manager discounted the next two payable services in September and November. The Service Manager will service those months to ensure satisfaction. We apologize for any inconvenience in this matter.

1 starI call Orkin to have bats or birds removed from my fireplace. Service man was great. However, my credit was ran on a hard inquiry on my credit report. I just spoke with Rollins acceptance and told them how displeased i was. They told me my credit can be pulled with just my name and phone number. I DID NOT CONSENT FOR THEM TO DO THAT AT ALL. From my understanding this is all the information that is needed. I did not and do not give my permission. None of that information was disclosed. They did tell me all they need is my name and phone and that this does not show on my credit. Not true. I also planned to pay for this service upfront so I didnot need their expensive financing, they cam on a Saturday evening so I just needed to get to my bank Monday morning. I am asking that this inquery be removed ASAP. They said they woud work on it, however, it seems they have done to others before and I am very displeased.Review fromNathan H

Monday August 8, 2022 I have made several attempt to get an answer to my question I posed to Orkin since a month ago. They failed to get a reply/answer to my question despite my numerous requests for an answer. I used their website to post question and also asking them why they haven't responded in a timely manner.I don't recommend these Orkin "*********************" to anyone. It is rude not to respond to a customer's inquiry made at the time of the service within a reasonable amount of time. I have been waiting more than a month now. I have told them I am hard of hearing and require a response via email not through a voicemail.I also informed them via their website that I no longer require their services from this point on. And God help me if they do continue treating my place. There is no "discontinue services" button on their website, which I suspect one has to do via calling their number, hello, guess what? Was given an appointment for 12pm-2pm. I left work early to prepare for my appointment. Not only did I not hear from Orkin, I had to call several times and got different answers The technician will call in 30 minutes,managers are in a meeting, we are about to close in a couple hours and everyone is busy . After calling again, I found out that my appointment was pushed back to 4pm-5pm but no one thought to inform **** called again, and someone told me the technician was sick and was no longer servicing. No one could replace him. Why is there only one technician for the *****************? The customer service reps are great at being apologetic, but they are a complete waste at actually getting results. I was a first time investor in their services, but I definitely wont spend anything further here.Rollins, Inc.

their management is useless. They dont return calls and if they even pickup call, they will hang up. They will charge you even you and orkin mgmt agreed not to continue service. Technician (***) is good and he tried hard to solve issue as much as he can. When requested to speak to his manager (*********) never returned calls.***************************** is ************** manager is even worst. She promised not to charge any more and she she does it and when you call she will says i will call you back and never returned call. Called her Cell phone and same result. 1 starWorst experience Ive ever had with a company. The first scheduled appointment they did not show up or even call. I went with another company to do the job. So I called and cancelled the service, and was assured on the phone it was canceled. A few days later the Orkin tech showed up at my rental property, asked my tenants if he could walk around and make it look like he was treating the area and then leave. My card still got charged after I canceled and talked to the regional manager ******. He assured me he was very sorry and could not believe this happened. Offered me a free service for all the headache. Few months go by and I need another service I call him multiple times with no return call, finally call the company and they reach out to him and said I could have a small discount. Not only was it fraudulent what they did the manager lies and cant even return a phone call. Please stay away from this companyReview fromSandra W

When I called Orkin for help with a gnat infestation, I was lead to believe that the service provider would investigate and that the application did not require that we leave home. They did not tell us that they would be spraying along the floor wall junctions, so the furniture in most cases blocked this area, so no spraying took place in approx. 75% of home. Had the scheduler provided more info , I could have had the furniture pulled out away from walls. > Service provider had me take my plant out which did improve the gnat issue,Rollins, Inc.

1 starWe had an annual contract to check the bait traps at our place in the country. According to the reports, they only checked 3 out of 18 traps in December of 2021 and 6 of the 18 traps in April of 2022. I made 3 calls to Orkin; the local office did not return the 1st call, home office did not return the 2nd call. With the 3rd, an appointment was set up. The tech was a no-show! We wont waste another $300 per year but purchase bait traps from Lowes or Amazon.Review fromBrooke L

Orkin feedback The orkin guarantee is that Your satisfaction is our goal. If you aren't completely satisfied, we will work with you until you are. If pests return between treatments, your Orkin Tech will return at no extra charge.My issue occurs during the warm months and since the cooler months came the issue went away. They said theyd come out another time if it got warmer but the temps never rose again. When the issue happens again this summer I will be stuck paying for services again in order to have the issue completely resolved which isnt right. So I feel that the job was left unresolved and I had to continue to pay for each treatment.I actually contacted the company the following summer (this summer) and they did the same treatment they did the previous year at no charge, but knowing that that didnt resolve the issue last year, it of course did not resolve the issue this year. The supervisor told me that my fly problem was because flies are attracted to light color houses in my house is a light color. Thats BS! So hundreds of dollars down the drain and I still have the same fly issue as I did before I hired Orkin. Because of this I would never recommend this company.Rollins, Inc.
