I needed to leave a review because I was having issues after hours with my garage door and two other doors that needed immediate attention for maintenance to fix. ******* ********(maintenance man) fixed all my maintenance issues. He was very professional and he fixed everything in a timely matter.. I definitely recommend first key homes they have an amazing maintenance team.. ******* did not take all day to respond when I called with my maintenance concerns.. ****************** and First Key Homes!

I wouldve left First Key Homes (FKH) a good review until they changed the payment policy. **** new payment policy has affected my finances tremendously. I would usually get caught up on rent and utility bills even if I cannot pay it on time. *** would usually give me payment arrangements until they began practicing this payment policy whereas they only accept full payment; whats worse about this payment policy is that *** will add the eviction fees right after you discussed to a customer *** a promise to pay the past due on a sooner date. Having them notating that is pointless. I would have to sacrifice some of my other bills and cancel some plans. *** dont realize that some of their tenants are facing financial hardships. This payment policy is not even beneficial at all, which tells me *** is being too money hungry.

This rental company is a rip off artist all of its own. Started in a decent not great home with alot of issues we documented on move in date. Rent was 1650 okay not too bad. They drag butts and find the cheapest contractors to half way fix stuff. After 1.5 years there. A water leak behind wall in master bathroom started took 4 months and 3 differ low bid contractors to find and repair then didn't even match the carpet in bedroom. Now 2 tones of carpet. Great. Rent increased 300 after first lease renewal came then went up another 300 and the latest renewal came. We said heck with it. Bought a new house gave them the 2 month notice and had kept our rent up to date and paid early every month. Had 14 days left on our lease to be paid in full. Had already moved and cleaned house 2.5 months earlier. Got them to come do my moveing inspection as I travel for work months at a time. The inspector took the keys and possession of property. And now I'm fighting first key homes about there bogus early termination fee of over $4100 when my lease only had about 1100 to be paid in full plus the 2100 security deposit paid when I moved there 3.5 years ago. I wouldn't recommend to even my enemies using them. They don't fix stuff in a timely manor. Will not trim the tall trees and will nickle and dime you for everything. There nothing but a shame company

My move in was 1475$. I thought it was a good deal because it had a deck and fireplace. Once I renewed the lease went to 1715 as the lowest rate. I was told that they compared my home to other properties in the area. Other properties in the area have been remodled. This home was built in 1986, and has the original everything. Everything here is as old as the house. During my walk through I was given a list of items that would be fixed before move in, and it was a lie. I had to create separate work orders before anything was done. The yard has so much debris on a monthly basis that it ruined my lawnmower, and they are refusing to give me any type of yard service. The lease stated that trees over 8 ft are their responsibility, yet they will not do any type of work. Yes its my responsibility to cut the grass but the weeds and debris take over that it should notbe my responsibility to pick up after your poor property management. When I moved in, the house was not clean, I had to dust wsh walls and baseboards. It was almost like I was a homeowner. I have never had a rental that was so dirty. The kitchen floor was uneven. It took 3 months for them to repair that. I feel like my rent was increased becausde I made them do what they should have done before I moved in. At this time, I have molded cabinets that they have not replaced. They dont care. When you see a good, deal run, unless you have the time to move in 12 months, its a rip off, the maintenance and service is terrible. **************** is fine, but thats about it.I've had slow drains since I moved in. I used draino until one day I finally asked for maintenance. Maintenance took a picture of the hair in the drain, and I was charged 100$. No one washes their hair in the bathrooms. He didnt even show me the photo. I find this company to be a rip off, but not worse than Tricon Homes. They will price gauge you to death.Speaking of price gauging, they make you pay your utilities with the rent or incur a late fee.

Do not rent from them if you can avoid it. Theyll nickel and dime you for any service requestcharged $110 to fix a toilet. They also provide no incentive as a loyal customer. The fact that our latest renewal offer is $400 more than a new lease for the house next door that they also own is absolutely criminal.
