Paid for parking but the **** on parking sign paid for parking in a completely different lot so my car was booted and I was charged $75. I clearly showed the boot man my paid parking ticket and explained the situation but they didnt care. I disputed the charge and was told someone would contact me but I havent heard from anyone and nobody answers the number I was provided.

      Complaint: 20668242

I am rejecting this response because:

Im aware the receipt has a different lot and that was my discrepancy. I scanned the **** on the parking spot I was at NOT a different lot. So why was parking even possible to be paid at a different lot that I wasnt even at. You all clearly have receipts of what time and where I was at but choose to ignore that. This business makes money off of clear inconsistencies in the app thatll lead to multiple complaints . All I ask is for a refund because I clearly intended to pay for parking at the lot I was at and not another.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

On Sept. 21, I was wrongfully booted by PPE even though I had paid for 3 hours of parking while I was handling personal business. Like any sound-minded person, I had attempted to pay for parking using the ** code, text to pay the number on their sign, and the machine. However, none of those methods were functional and all continued to fail. Unfortunately, I was on pressing business matters which had an urgent deadline on when I had to attend to. Even during that, I was continuously attempting to pay on the website. I had my partner also attempting to pay on the website to make sure I didn't get fined for not paying to park. I have attached a screenshot of my partner and I's attempt to pay for parking before I was booted and a screenshot of a parking confirmation showing that I paid for the parking service. I am requesting a full refund because of the poor service and inadequate resources to ensure people are able to pay for parking without falling into the scam of getting towed or booted even though you are paying for the service with ample time. Even if you try to reason with this parking company, no matter what proof you show of parking within the accessible time limits they still deny it. One of the workers tried to blame the federal business building reception blockers as a reason for the issue but that does not excuse the fact that my partner who was miles away had the same issues with online/text-to-pay methods of payment. I am requesting a full refund for my charges because as a customer who paid for a simple service, it ended in an outcome that was not right or necessary.

I parked my car at the location of P1095 on July 1 2023 and my car was towed from the location on July 12 2023. Please be advised that the parking was paid for fully. The company didnt advise me that the car was being towed. I was made aware after calling the company to check on the location of my car. I was first told that no car was towed from the location and that I should call the police to file it as stolen. After calling law enforcement they stated that no car had been recovered and I should call the lot back to make sure I had the correct information. After being hung up on by the company I called back several times and was placed on hold for hours to be later told my car was towed on July 12. At this point they are giving me a whole bunch of c*** reason why but honestly none of them make any sense because I was never notified and it seems to me that this company and the tow company are working together to rip off people that use the parking lot. Not to mention that my car takes special tools to tow and Im **** percent sure they didnt have the tools to tow my car away. On top of all of that Ive been told that the company cant do anything for me and that I have to call the tow company but they were not the ones that towed my car and gave authorization to do so in the first place. Ive also been waiting for a call from ******************* for the past few weeks and I have yet to be contacted. Again this matter is incredibly frustrating because Im a disabled veteran that needs his transportation and I cant afford to pay for some junk yards prices because of the neglect of an account manager named *******************.

On 8/18, a boot was place on my new car by the Boot Man/ Premier Parking and damaged my rim. I've asked the operator, and the owner to provide the contact information for the insurance company used by Boot Man, but both have refused. I have a video of the incident and the damage to my rim. My rim has a big gash/ chipped metal in the inside of the rim where the boot was placed. I would like my car report to the previous state before it was damaged by the boot being placed on my car. PPE Representative is ******************************* and ***********************. No one will provide the insurance information so that I can file a claim. I called the number provided by dispatch, the guy that answered has refused to give me his name or the name of the insurance company. I've talked to him twice and I'm not getting anywhere. The owner/operator i spoke with asked me to provide a copy of the receipt, then he would give me the insurance information, I provided a copy of the boot receipt, he then stated he didn't have to provide any insurance information. I've also filed a police report to document the issue and damage.

I had a friend in need of help around the corner before going to the gym (not far away) I parked in the lot next to my gym. THEY BOOTED MY CAR FOR WALKING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE **** EVEN IF YOU HAVE A PARKING PASS!. The parking security company stated that they had footage of me walking in the opposite direction of the gym. I even showed them documentation of my workout on my workout app. Had to pay $90 to have boot removed.

I am rejecting this response because here's the information attached. I was also not given any information or did I see any information in the parking lot that stated i must go DIRECTLY to the building. When I explained this to the person who booted my car, they simply stated 'sorry that's just the rules'. In addition, *********** law around private booting in lots state that signs need to be displayed clearly around the parking lot stating these "rules" that I must go directly to the gym. Maybe putting up signs would fix the problem? If someone had run an errand AFTER the gym it would not be a problem I was told bcs cameras couldn't capture this.

I was on premises trying to figure out another machine in the lot next door and wether it was same operator or not. **** was placed at 812 according to ticket. I saw enforcement and approached, but park was parked directly behind me blocking it. The time is now 815. I explain how a lady first demanded money and 2nd the machine wasnt working (I was looking for another one that did work). It had been 3 minutes only. Enforcer took time to finish 1-2 boots, then show the machine that only turns on with a specific button is pressed, and said nothing could be done, since it was inputted in the system. I paid the 1st lady afraid for our safety and pay the enforcer for the same reason, but I was in premises, lot next door and within walking distance to the car. I did call the parking operators enforcer phone number and confirmed that there was no input in the system at the time. In short, 3 minutes passed, I was in premises, saw him block my vehicle and boot it. Within 3 minutes was approached, he burned 10 more and then I paid for my safety as I dont know if theyre armed or if they work with the other person that demanded payment and was afraid of our safety. I enforcer lied when said that info was inputted as the corporate enforcement number was not able to confirm 8 minutes after I produced payment that the enforcer demanded I also do not know if they work together as all the timing was suspiciously close, the parking position of the enforcer was strategic and nearly every car was as booted ( likely after I left every car in the lot was effectively booted)

A parking payment is required upon arrival.  When the agent arrived to audit the lot there was not a valid payment associated with your license plate number.  You were not at your vehicle or on the property at the time your vehicle was booted for non payment.

I am rejecting this response because:

i was indeed in the property (lot2 )and the lot adjacent (lot 1) trying to figure out if its the same operator, so it could be oaid there. These lots are only separated by chain link, so you have to get on the sidewalk to walk around the fence and I to each other lot.  Otherwise, how could I get to the car within 3 minutes of it being booted?

      Map is attached.

This parking lot is so small that there is nowhere to park when our parking enforcement agents pull on to work the lot. No one was blocking you in on purpose. There are multiple signs on the lot stating to not pay anybody but to pay by machine or by the app. There is no specific button to push on the pay station. If you looked at the machine you would have seen the steps to follow right above the keypad. They have pictures and words so it's easy to follow. Pushing any button will awaken the pay station so you may follow the steps to make a payment. There is a huge QR code right above the machine that you could have used to pay as well.Once we pull on any parking lot and find a vehicle that is violating the parking rules, we boot it immediately.  The lot adjacent to this is completely fenced off from the lot you were parked on and has completely different signage. No one that you could have called would have the information that the parking enforcement agent was speaking of. That is an app that we input the vehicle information to once we have booted a vehicle and there isn't anyone outside of the enforcement agent and the manager of the boot company that would have access to that info. You were not on the premises or we would have seen you and asked if the vehicle was yours. The lot is only around 20 spaces. Also, there were only 5 cars booted that morning and not at the same time. I must state again that there are multiple signs saying not to pay anyone and the receipt you provided that you received from whoever you paid is clearly old, dirty and bent. As to us being in cahoots with anyone trying to scam people, we do our best to run of any scammers we see around when we pull onto a ****** lot. We call the police. We put up extra signs. We do everything possible to keep this from happening. For all the reasons I've stated we will not be issuing a refund on this fine.

On June 29th my SUV was booted in Park First ************ Lot. in ***********. I parked and paid for up to 10 hrs. at 9:28 am. When I returned around noon my vehicle was booted. The ticket said it had been booted at 10:58 am with no explanation why. We called Boot Man Inc. and they said they could not tell me over the phone why my vehicle was booted but would come in 20 minutes. When they got there he was immediately rude and pointed out my vehicle was "double parked." I hadn't noticed that previously but explained I had parked and paid quickly because I was running late for an appointment. I also apologized several times for the error. I asked if there was anyway to correct this without a fine since the parking lot was enormous, there were barely any cars in it and at least 95% of the lot was empty so my error did not cause anyone to not be able to park in the lot. In addition the parking sign doesn't state vehicles will be booted for this reason. The employee was confrontational, pressuring me to pay immediately, would not let me speak to a supervisor, then jumped in his vehicle threatening to leave saying I was refusing to pay. I ended up paying as I felt I had no other choice. As he was removing the boot I attempted to video the parking lot to document how empty it was and how it did not interfere with anyone else's parking when he started shouting at me that I was violating his 1st amendment rights as a black man by him being in the video. I tried to explain what the purpose was and why I didn't record earlier because I didn't know the reason for the boot and honestly thought it must be an error. He removed the boot, literally jumped in his car and sped away.

Parking Regulations posted at meter indicate that the payment is required for each space occupied.  However we are concerned about the alleged comments made by the agent.  The area manager will be able to look into the matter further on the 17th. We will follow up with you on the 18th.

I parked in a lot that clearly stated 1 hour of free parking. When I returned to my vehicle 30 minutes later, I had a boot and ticket with a timestamp 13 minutes after I arrived. (confirmed by my GPS). When I informed the agent who was called to remove the boot that I was still within the hour he shrugged and said there "was no way I could prove it". Seems like this companies entire business model hinges on fraud and people just giving in to paying because it's not worth the headache of fighting. I truly hope this business owner feels good about themselves being an actual scam artist...i'm sure there kids are very proud of them.

Took kids on family vacation, ******d parking, found parking lot #***, parked and above us there is a sign that says pay via text, followed directions, took photo of parking spot number and vehicle license plate as required by app. Paid ***** for 8hours. Have receipt and walked around ***********. Came back in 4 hours and our car was booted. We called the number on our car, a thugged out guy shows up in a wrecked up ***** accord demanding 130 bucks to pull boots off. FYI his plate is blacked out which is illegal, you can not read His plate at all, then he wants to talk c*** to you and belittle you when you try to get his plate number, I was not successful getting a plate number due to he spray painted a plastic shield so it doesnt show up. We told him please take It off we paid for our parking and he walked away and stated either you pay or have fun sitting there. 3 others that night had same issue. We were all extorted for 130 bucks. We called the police, 911, the number on the paper, no one wanted to help so we were forced to pay. After being highly upset we noticed on ****** this is a trend for parking ***, see ****** reviews, this happens all the time and nothing is being done about it. This is illegal!

      Coty,

Please refer to the picture you provided of the meter located at the entrance with the huge sign stating "Pay Here", and "Do Not Pay The Neighboring Lot"  I have attached additional pictures as a reminder of the signs we have posted along the property line which separates the two lots.   If you recall the agent pointed this out to you along with the sign located in your space directly in front of your vehicle.

Unfortunately you are not eligible for a refund as you are unable to provide a payment receipt for the correct parking lot.

I am rejecting this response because:

The signage is part of one parking structure.  Ask ally the business that enforces parking is trying to say that if you entree there parking lot, they have split the parking with 1 entry and one exit into 2 different parking pay areas as if the general public is aware it that. This is a scan to confuse its customers with the confusing signage, then boot them for not doing either of the confusing payments methods for added income. This is sad! Everyone one ****** is reporting the same thing, confusing signage, split parking lot scam to cash in on tourist. Its ok, me and my family will never return after this incident. BBB please investigate the signage and what this business is trying to claim, Im number 32 that has made a complaint about their signage and ripping people off. See ****** maps, Yelp, rip-off report, and a few others complaining about their tactics. Please see evidence of receipt and app lets you pick parking spot number 14 at lot 408, had no issues paying for parking spot and according to the reply of the bootman people I still managed to be in the wrong parking lot when we took pictures! There a scam! Tourist trap!

We are unable to help you if you find "Pay Here"  "Not The Neighboring Lot"  confusing.  We believe the message is straightforward and direct.  All of the signs include the name and logo of the parking operator (ParkFirst).  You ignored all the signs including the one posted in your parking space and paid the neighboring lot operated by Premium Parking.   The pictures of the posted signage we provided clearly prove we have gone above and beyond to direct customers how to pay.

I am rejecting this response because:
very unprofessional, stuck here with a receipt in hand, shows a attempt that we paid, they are also being unprofessional by stating it is all my fault and telling me, my wife, my 21 year old daughter, 19 year old son, we all ignored signs but a sign directly in front of my windshield was the wrong Choice! This is a money grab and has been reported 33 times, I do not agree with being extorted and request BBB investigate this company for wrong doing and extorting people trying to do the right thing by paying but get punished by getting a 130 dollar fine. So do I report the other charge as fraud, or both is the question cause I guarantee I already got my money back yesterday for your shady business practice!

      Sincerely,

I parked in the lot in ***********. I walked up and the sign said that I needed to use my license plate number. I walked back to my car got the plate number and walked back to the machine. The first step of the instructions said press buttons to light up screen. I must have pressed L and then enter so it must have entered L as my license plate number. I paid for 3 hours and put the ticket on my dashboard. I came out within 2 hours and my car was booted. The attendant was rude and nasty and when I asked what I had to gain by entering the wrong license plate number he said I dont know why you do what you do. I three small children and it was 100 degrees outside so I had to just pay and get out of there.
