      These people are crooks I tried purchasing at store for $18.06 my card was declined for no reason so I contacted customer service and was told the reason it was declined was because they took ************* so you mean to tell me how embarrassing it was to stand in line and get declined for my food because yall been greedy when I had correct amount there neither the less they didn't care thank God a lady was standing in line and paid for my items thank you God after trying 3 times figure out I totally changed 150 cent this is sad and embarrassing They care nothing about their clients

      The ******* Platinum smiONE **** Debit Card is a pre-paid card with no available line of credit or overdraft services. At the time of the first attempt for $18.06, the available balance was $18.03. For this reason,the card was declined several times for insufficient funds. As outlined in the Cardholder Agreement, the associated fees were assessed to your account balance for these declines. As a one-time courtesy, we have refunded these fees to your account.

      To avoid future occurrences, wed like to recommend enrolling in our free alerts for on- the- go and up- to- date balance and transaction information. You can enroll by visiting our website or by contact **************** at your convenience. For more information on using your smiONE Card and a listing of fees that you may be subject to, please refer to the smiONE Card Cardholder Agreement sections titled Loading and Using the Cardand Fee Schedule.

      It is always some bull with this lackluster company and as someone who is **** and can't hear on the phone their email customer portal is also a joke. First card never worked anywhere except exactly 3 stores, but they charge you for a new card so I had to wait that bs out a year. During which, I was charged for something I didn't order/get and instead of refund no, they shut the card off with no financial access to MY MONEY for two weeks. Now I was overcharged on my new card yesterday shopping in a store and refunded by the clerk in the store right away, but according to the Smione message system the refund "transaction" was declined. YET they allowed two purchases in the same store go through when it was ONE purchase and a refund situation.

      A detailed review of your account was conducted, and we have some information wed like to share with you. We reviewed the first three years of your account history and located only one declined transaction that took place at a local gas station. This decline was caused by the transaction being attempted at the pump, which is not a supported use of the ******* Platinum smiONE Visa Prepaid Card.

      Regarding the more recent experience you described, our records show the merchant processed 2 transactions, attempted a refund, and then processed a 3rd transaction on December 15, 2023. The failed refund was caused by entry of the incorrect expiration date. Fortunately, the merchant was able to successfully process this refund on December 17, 2023.

      Card doesn't work at any place. I have money on my card and can't spend it when I need it. When I reported it to customer service a ****** woman answered the phone and was very uncooperative. She said that they didn't work with the companies but Smione says they are supposed to work wherever **** is accepted. It makes things very hard for me and others who can't use the money to take care of bills and other needs as it was intended.

      I had unauthorized charges on my account for over $400.00. I've been credited back from my other 3 accounts that were compromised but this company has absolutely refused to refund my money. I've contacted the company that the charges were from and they stated that the charges should have been refunded but due to the dispute I have to get it from SMI card services. They have made every excuse to not refund my money. This is unacceptable and after searching online, I've seen this is a major issue with this company. I've got emails that state the charges were canceled from the company, yet I'm still waiting on my money. Please hold these people responsible!

      I've never encountered such incompetence when dealing with a credit card company. I'm currently in the hospital and asked my husband to take care of the replacement credit card that we NEVER received. He was on the account, so I figured it wouldn't be a problem. They told him he was never on the account and canceled my new card that I paid expedited shipping for. These people are frauds, and I'm currently working on reporting them to the BBB. Now, I don't have access to a card that I've literally waited over a month for and these idiots are demanding two forms of identification for a fuckup they caused.

      Couldn't activate my card on the internet so I had to call at least maybe 10 times before could get talk to someone and than it kept saying enter your 16 digit card number this company is a waste of time if I could give it a rating of zero stars I would

      Our records show that you contacted customer service on August 16, 2023, to activate a new card. The agent successfully activated the card on your behalf and explained how to set up a new PIN through the automated system. The automated system is sensitive to background noise. Excessive background noise can cause the system difficulty deciphering your touch tone entries. After looking into your concerns, one of our agents reached out to you and provided troubleshooting recommendations.

      They are a bad company they requested my card as stolen.When I didn't even request it stolen.??They give me the run around for 3 days and I sent in my photo ID and they keep playing games .I haven't been able to access my money for days.Very bad company to use!

      STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, Absolute Terrible Terrible customer service. Rude and incompetent employees that legitimately laugh at you. I needed statements to apply for financial assistance so that I did not get evicted. **** had me on the phone for an hour talking about things to do in the future instead of helping me. Then proceeded to laugh at my situation when I explained urgency. When she finally put me on hold to speak to her supervisor, she kept increasing the volume on the hold music to make hang up. After 2 hours of arguing with the same person the supervisor REFUSED to speak with me. Was not able to get what I needed after hours of having to be upset on the phone and no response from supervisor. I have never been so angry over a phone call in my life. On top of that I constantly have to recreate accounts and call for a password change to even access my account online. Horrible Horrible Horrible

      Stay away. Do whatever you can to avoid business with this company. I have had nothing but issues with this card and dealing with customer service is laughable. Each time there's a different answer, different limits, different usage guidelines. They literally say anything to get you off the phone. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the representative informed me she would have to ask the supervisor if they were willing to accept my call. I have been unable to purchase a needed vehicle because there is absolutely no way to aquire enough of my own money from this card and they don't allow large purchases either. I was told I could continue to transfer or ATM every day until I could accrue enough of my own money to make a purchase, or I can close my account and wait for a check to come through the mail. How can I possibly trust them sending a check in the mail, or have any idea if the time frame on that, when they can't even process simple daily transactions?!? This is day four that I will have to call and attempt to have my card made available for use. Every day I try to use it as they have said and every day it is not functional. Most times they tell me it's locked due to a fraud alert because I attempted to transfer funds into the same account I have transferred funds into, in my name, many times. I even sat at the bank on the phone with them and my banker attempted to have a transfer done directly. No. Also not permitted. It is sad that so many marginalized, struggling people have to deal with this type of business conduct due to child support services contracting with smione. Then again, it's likely why smione feels entitled to treat their customers the way they do.

      I'm giving 5 because Miss ********'s help today was such a blessing in so many more ways than one. She was so very patient, thorough and kind. This is the first customer service call in a very long time that I was completely satisfied. By the end of the call I wasn't even concerned whether about the outcome of the issue I was just so impressed with Miss ******** and how she handled everything going above and beyond I almost cried.
