I purchased a loveseat in August 2021. In December 2023 I noticed that there was a spring broke in the back, I put in a claim and waited for what seemed like forever. Back bd forth with emails and phone calls, them wanting more pictures over and over. I received an email on March 1/24 telling me that it was not covered as it wasn't accidental usage, they said it was normal wear and tear which is not true. There are no children in the home or animals. The lady that called me today told me to call Surplus Furniture as they may be able to help me, no help from them either. The warranty is nothing but a scam to get money out of a person. I will never buy from Surplus Furniture or buy a Service warranty again. If any one ever mentions a Service warranty to you all I can say is RUN as fast as you can away from the store.ServeCo North America

We value the confidence you placed in ServeCo by choosing our service contract, and we're truly sorry to hear about your less-than-satisfactory experience. After careful review by our leadership team,we want to extend our deepest apologies. According to the terms outlined in your service contract, coverage includes breakage of frames, panels, and springs. Your service request has been reopened and forwarded to our service team for further processing. We are committed to promptly resolving this matter and will keep you updated on the progress.Review fromBrian R

I purchased a sectional couch from furniture warehouse with a servco pet warranty. This company has loopholes so it makes it impossible for there to be any claims I will never buy another warranty from them it's a scam. Servco does everything to prevent you from claiming warranty with email after email wanting more pics and paperwork and limited time to respond DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY SCAMMER!!!! PAID over $500 for a garbage warranty coverage.ServeCo North America

We understand your disappointment regarding the outcome of your recent service request for your sectional. We'd like to clarify the process outlined in your service contract received upon purchase. It specifies that along with the service contract, a copy of the invoice receipt and an overall photo of the unit are required for submission. Upon receipt of these documents, we can proceed with processing the service request.
Regarding the discrepancy in pricing mentioned, while you stated the service contract was over $500.00, the invoice receipt reflects a charge of $199.00. Additionally, the "cause of damage" indicated in your service request cites "Everyday use," which falls under the category of "wear and tear," explicitly excluded from coverage according to the terms and conditions of the service contract.
Furthermore, upon reviewing the photos provided, we observed numerous overlapping stains throughout the unit that appear to be attributed to general wear rather than a single incident. Consequently, the service request was deemed ineligible for coverage.
While we regret that we're unable to address all reported issues on the sofa, we're willing to extend a courtesy gesture by arranging for a professional cleaner to perform an overall cleaning in an attempt to remove the stains. If you're willing to retract your review, please let us know, and we'll proceed accordingly to schedule the cleaning service.
We value your feedback and hope to work towards a satisfactory resolution to your service request. Please feel free to reach out to us with any further questions or concerns.Review fromCorey S

Purchased a $500 Servco Total protection plan from Lazyboy. What a fricken scam of a company. Lazyboy should be sued for selling such a crappy and worthless service. My furniture broke from failed manufacturing. The metal in the leg extenders was faulty and bent. ****** put me thru a big hassle repeatedly asking for "more pictures of the affected area" and finally denied my case citing "What's not covered". WTF is a total protection plan for if it doesn't totally protect? They wouldnt even fix the staples that are now stabbing hazards from the material coming out from the leg rest. Also, the stuffing has gone remarkably flat very fast. They wont add more stuffing. The left seat is buckling from basic use and they wont fix that. If you're reading this and you're offered a full warranty total protection plan from anyone representing Servco, turn tail and run hard and far away. You will be out the hundreds of dollars for a completly worthless plan and be very upset at the company who sold you such c*** Guess i can't even get good durable furniture at lazyboy.ServeCo North America

We regret that your expectations regarding the service contract did not align with the Terms and Conditions clearly outlined within it. It's important to note that each consumer is provided with these Terms, detailing coverage specifics. The reported issues highlight bent mechanisms and bent legs, both of which are not included in the coverage of the service contract. As explained you purchased the ********** Plus Pet, the coverage for the issues mentioned would have required the ********** Power Plus Pet. It's comparable to having liability coverage for your car but not collision coveragetwo distinct plans with differing terms and conditions. We understand your frustration and aim to offer a resolution. As a gesture of goodwill, we can provide a refund for the service contract you purchased. We look forward to your feedback as we work towards a resolution to your service request.Review fromTom R

We regret that your expectations regarding the service contract did not align with the Terms and Conditions clearly outlined within it. It's important to note that each consumer is provided with these Terms, detailing coverage specifics.Issues such as cracking, peeling, discoloration, and general wear and tear are typically results of prolonged usage rather than a one-time incident, and unfortunately fall outside the scope of coverage as outlined in the service contract.
However, we understand your concerns and are committed to finding a resolution. If you are open to taking down your negative review, we would like to offer our assistance by engaging a leather repair expert to assess and attempt repairs. We genuinely value your feedback and hope to collaborate with you to address your service request effectively.ServeCo North America

We highly value customer feedback as it plays a crucial role in guiding us towards achieving our goal of exceeding customer expectations. It's unfortunate that your feedback indicates a less than exceptional experience, which undermines our ongoing efforts to improve internally.
Regrettably,ServeCo was unable to reach you back in June of 2023, and there was no contact from your end until 4/18/2024, a span of 10 months, causing the service request to fall outside the 30-day window for filing a claim. ServeCo typically offers a prorated refund of the service contract in such cases. However, as a gesture of goodwill, if you are willing to retract your review, we are more than happy to provide a full refund of the service contract purchased ($350.00).
We eagerly await your feedback and sincerely hope to provide a resolution to your service request.Review frombr g

If negative stars were an option that's what I'd give to this company. Their contract is written that they can pretty much deny any claim as normal wear and tear or an accumulation of damage. Worst company ever with horrible business practices! Shame on furniture companies for even selling this farce of a furniture protection program.ServeCo North America

ServeCo acknowledges the mechanical failure of the footrest and damage to the seat casing caused by your dog, both of which are covered under your service contract. ServeCo does look at the unit as a whole and with noticeable non reported stains present, we made the decision to deem the service request as not qualified. We do not take for granted the trust you placed in ServeCo when you invested in your service contract. I want to assure you that we take your concerns seriously and are committed to creating a resolution that not only addresses the issues you've encountered but also restores your confidence in our services. A part order for the seat casing and pull handle has been promptly submitted. As soon as we receive an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the parts, we will reach out to update you accordingly. Once the parts are in hand, simply contact ServeCo at ************, and we will dispatch a service technician promptly to install the parts, ensuring a swift resolution to your service request.Review fromJason S

Filed Claim #****** on a ********** VIP PET 5 year protection plan. I am well within the 5 years and the damage to the product was done by a pet. My Experience over almost 30 days of submitting all the requests from ServeCo; there was 1 follow up call from a **************** rep, who called me with a muted mic, and then followed up with an email to let me know my claim was only partially covered. They said the Fabric is the only part of the product that is covered by the pet plan, not any wiring that is damaged by a pet. electronics and mechanical is only covered if there is a manufacture defect. I asked for a refund of the insurance premium, to allow me to go buy the wiring harness needed and fix the couch myself, that was denied and I was told to go back to the store that sold me the plan. ServeCo should be held responsible for having misleading plan names with fine print that excludes the expensive parts. They are misrepresenting what is covered with the names of the plans and defrauding customers of complete service and funds for the insurance plan being purchase.ServeCo North America

I empathize with the frustration that can arise when expectations are not met, and I want you to know that your feedback is incredibly important to us. We appreciate your taking the time to bring these issues to our attention, as it will help us improve our services and ensure a better experience for all our customers. Similar to any contractual agreement, there are Terms and Conditions that govern the scope of coverage and outline specific exclusions, which are provided to you at the time of purchase. Listed under WHAT IS NOT COVERED referring to mechanisms and components its state This protection plan does not include Service needed on parts as a result of any of the following: Any problems not involving a defect. Please be aware that the font size is uniform throughout, and there are no instances of "fine print."

They do not stand by their plans. i had a party and two different types of stains occurred. They were just spots. They would not cover the product saying there we two different types of stains so it an accumulation of stains and would not cover it even though it has happened. I would give them a zero if possible.ServeCo North America

We apologize that your expectations did not align with the Term and Conditions outlined in the Service Contract purchased. ServeCo received the Service Request along with photos that indicate more than just isolated spots from a single incident. The photos reveal stains on various areas such as the headrest, arm, center console, and seat casing. Consequently, the Service Request was deemed ineligible for qualification due to the accumulation of stains, and some of the stains depicted in the photos were not previously reported when the Service Request was initially submitted. If you are open to reconsidering your review, ServeCo is prepared to explore cleaning options as a one-time courtesy. I wish that I could rate this company a ZERO rating. The fabric on one arm of our 1 year old LaZBoy chair is showing very unnatural wear. Serveco had me take pictures and said that I would hear back from someone within 48 hours. It will be one week tomorrow and I hadn't heard from them so I called them back. They said that this isn't caused by any kind of an accident so they won't cover it. No apology for not even bothering to get back to me.ServeCo North America

We value customer feedback to best understand ways that we can achieve our goals to exceed their expectations. The fact that your input reflected a less than exceptional experience is regrettable and undermines our internal initiatives. The Service Request submitted stated the right arm stitching/ fabric was starting to fray, with the cause reported as unknown. The Service Contract purchased covers specific accidental incidents that are reported within the timeframe outlined in the Service Contract. The Service Request was determined to be ineligible as the damages appeared to result from gradual wear and tear, rather than a specific incident. If you are open to reconsidering your review,ServeCo is prepared to explore repair options as a one-time courtesy. If I could give you a 0, I most definitely would. We purchased a $700 warranty/5 year protection for our LazyBoy furniture against stains on our furniture. First our love seat stitching came undone from the love seat being delivered broken in the first place. We finally were able to get a technician out to replace the bottom portion of the love seat. That is when the tear/stitching was noticed to have come undone. At the same time the technician was asked to check on getting ServeCo to come out and take care of the stitching and the stains on our two chairs. That never happened. We contacted this company through their forms they have online and followed all instructions. Only to be told that our request was denied. Tried to contact them again today via phone, was again told that due to us not contacting them from each stain that occurred, at the time it occurred, they could not clean the chairs or repair the love seat. We had to contact them within 30 days of each spill that *** have happened on the chairs. Why pay $700 for fabric protection if no help can be given to get the fabric cleaned.ServeCo North America

We are committed to surpassing every consumers expectation, although we recognize that there are instances beyond our control. ServeCo, as the warranty department has an obligation to adhere to the terms and conditions of the service contract and the Service Request submitted listed stains throughout both pieces from everyday use. While it's important to note that the Service Contract purchased provides coverage for stains resulting from specific incidents reported within the outlined timeframe, it does not encompass general maintenance cleanings. Nevertheless, ServeCo strives to align our practices with your expectations. Therefore, we are taking proactive steps by arranging for a professional cleaner to conduct a thorough cleaning of both chairs. We have initiated the service order and have already assigned a professional cleaner. You can expect a call within the next 48 hours to schedule the cleaning!
