93 yr old mother goes to buy a simple recliner. Picks an item girl fills out the contract to order the chair, to pick up Friday 5th Sept. They wanted $50 to deliver, was refused. She sent her son to retrieve the product and sign paperwork. They already had the chair out ready to load. Not in the box as all other stores send the unit home or charge to put it together. Driver pull his load away from the door to cover, noticed it was a different fabric and slightly color change. Driver returned to the dock the unloading the product, returned paperwork completed, staff went to the floor to send a unit of the floor. Did paperwork again, driver went out and covered the load and had to the house. Took the back of the chair in the location to set and the mother said that they had sent the incorrect unit. Driver loaded product and returned back to the store they took the unit back. Paid the driver the money he had paid for a price increase for the first replacement item, $87.49. When the driver asked about the correct chair, they informed him it would cost even more money than the last chair they had tried to send.when the driver asked for the check or the money they stated it had to come out of corporate office in Georgia. Called corporate office, ckeck is in the mail. Not delivered to the store. I know. Went to the store to retrieve said check and was given the bumbs rush out of the store and said not to return. Planning on visiting with the council for the aging to see what recourse is available for a93 year old woman being abused trying to get the product she had ordered. She still doesn't have the money to buy a chair because the check is in the mail. Still waiting in South Carolina.

Terrible customer service…. General manager is extremely rude. Never had a problem with this company but Tonya H*** is completely out of hand.

Farmers lied on a complaint and bbb closed the account even though the merchandise is still in our home after asking farmers to come and pick up the non-working merchandise. I'm truly not satisfied with this decision nor am I happy with how my elderly mom was treated in this situation. Just ask Farmers to come get there merchandise out of this house. I advise no one to purchase anything from farmers home store because if it breaks down you'll be lied to and you will never get merchandise to replace it and they will even send you a bill and want your payment but they won't do there part to accommodate you. Very poor service.

Farmers Home Furniture is a good company overall. This branch is one I used to work at and over the past year I have fought with management at this location over phone calls. The number on my account was meant to be the sole contact number for both mine and my fiancé's accounts. My fiancé works nights and has for the past three to four years, so receiving a call midday or late morning is really disruptive to his sleep schedule. I have to have the same conversation with management at this location every time I speak with them. I am insanely irritated by this as I think anyone would be. I was communicating with the store whenever they called and it wasn't until today that it has been, finally, too far for me. They called me twice and I texted the credit manager directly letting her know I was in a meeting and would call asap. No sooner than I get the "Okie Dokie" response from her, my fiancé's phone has rang and woken him up. Now I work from home some days so my meetings are virtual and on the phone a lot of the time. To say that I was displeased is an understatement. I know I've changed his contact to do not call with the store manager and I know the note is in Celerant and I know that Farmers policy is very strict on checking the notes on each late account before the call is made. Mind you, we are late by not even a full month yet. As someone that is going through a financially rough time, I do not appreciate this stores LACK of attention to detail and I do not feel as though their main goal is to do the right thing as many of their corporate leaders demonstrate. I know that what I have asked from them time and time again ("hey don't use the number ending in xxxx, use mine") is not a hard task. I am blown away that I have to repeat myself not only when they hire someone new, but consistently. I have stated that both of our numbers need to go on the DNC list and that when we need to speak I will contact them directly. This was the second time this month alone. Wild.

Very poor experience at the Plymouth North Carolina location. Don’t shop this company, you’re wasting your time. If you’re looking for high quality furniture for your rental home, look elsewhere. This stuff is junk and they act like they’re doing you a favor selling it to you.

Purchased a sofa and loveseat from this place was overpriced and poorly made unable to finance due to divorce so I paid in full, had furniture for 9 months seat cushions started to fray can’t even replace cushions because they are sewn into the sofa due to poor quality had a company from the warranty company come look at the furniture defects they said can’t warranty due to the fact that we have 2 very small dogs that cannot even jump high enough to get on the furniture very disappointing .

I don’t like that the store contacted me to get in touch with a relative concerning their bill. The lady did not say why she called but I know. She just told me to have that family member to call them. When I talked to my family member they said they did not know how they got my number and why they called me because he did not give anyone’s number. These people called my sister, my ex husband and God knows who else. A shame for harassing me and I don’t like it. Farmers have a store in a shopping area near me but I would not dare go in there to purchase anything from them and advise as many people as I can not to do business with them because they are desperate. And will do anything to collect from their customers.

I called because my payment was not taken out of my acct. The manager answer the phone and was so rude, disrespectful and she was super ****** for the simple fact that I had an accent. I just wanted an explanation she got super aggravated didn’t want to deal with me but a soon as my wife which she’s white no accent ask her the same thing I did she lower her voice, try to explain to her with an absurd amou Of details. Then she proceeded to let us know that she won’t be running our payments anymore. I don’t understand what kinda business this is. I’m ******* **** **** I don’t deal well with disrespect and conflicts when I gave up my best years to protect this country and our citizens. She need to get fired, the placed either needs new staff or to be shut down and never be allow to have a business license. She needs training in customs and courtesy and most importantly how to be human and deal with humans. Treat everyone with respect, and treat other how you want to be treated.
2023 still can believe this ****** lady it’s still allow to work at a place where so many minorities go shopping. Majority of their sells come from minority shoppers.

Our experience started out great, furniture was slightly over priced but we were willing to commit to it as we really liked the quality and needed furniture for the new house. Fast forward a couple of months, always paid on time, I went to add a gaming chair as a gift for my partner. Little did I know that by adding this chair, it renewed the whole policy which later messed us up because during hard times that both my partner and I informed management about *** *** * *********** *** * *** *************, so we needed a forgiveness for a month. Stacey kept giving us the run around when we asked for the forgiveness and it never happened because she said "due to the policy renewal, we have to see at least 4 months paid before you qualify." Since then both my partner and I have informed them finances are tight and that they will get their money when we have it again, I have been in and out of the hospital with complications as ** *** *** ********* *** ******* ****. I have also informed Stacey not to call me during my work hours which she continues to do. They want to state they will "work" with you but they don't. Stacey also has shown up at my house unannounced during my work hours and has sent people to my house during my work hours.
I've kept quiet about it for some time now but I'm exhausted and have had to resort in blocking the store number and paying online.

If I could give a negative stars I absolutely would. We went in to pay off my son's account today. The check was made out for the payoff amount the company gave the lender. My son had since paid the monthly payments while awaiting the loan closing. When my daughter in law presented the check for payoff the lady working the desk said she couldn't take a check for more than the payoff. She had to call someone to ask how to handle it. She them stated that she could accept the payment and the corporate office would provide a refund in approximately 2 weeks when the check cleared. It doesn't take 2 weeks for a check to clear and the amount over the payoff was $250. Corporate office was no help they kept forwarding my calls to the same woman and all superiors were out, not available excuse after excuse. This company is a sham and take advantage any way they can. My son's payments are always on time and never an issue and they demand he waits 2 weeks to receive a refund that should be handed to him at payoff. I will be reporting them to the attorney general's office and any other entity that deals with companies exercising shady consumer practices. Even the receptionist at their corporate office wanted to be difficult and tell me there was nothing that I could do and tried to block my access to higher management. I will continue to pursue this issue even if I have to track down the CEO.
