      Dear **************:

I am writing in response to the complaint that ***************************** filed with the BBB on February 11, 2024.  Primerica is a corporate general agent that markets financial products, including life insurance, through independent contractor sales representatives.  Recruits, such as ******************, submit an Independent Business Application (***) to apply to become Primerica independent contractor sales representatives, not employees and pay the one-time $99 *** fee. Once recruits are properly licensed, they receive commissions, not a salary.

We have researched ******************** complaint and have determined that on or about February 7, 2024, we received her *** that authorized payment of the one-time $99 *** fee and the $25 monthly Primerica On ********************* The *** provides that recruits who have not attended pre-licensing class are eligible for a refund of up to $69 ($99 less a $30 non-refundable processing fee. Our records indicate that ****************** did not contact Primerica prior to filing her complaint with the BBB.  As a courtesy, Primerica issued a refund of $99 to ****************** for her *** fee and $25 for her *** charges, for a total refund of $124.

We hope that we have adequately addressed this matter.  If you have any questions or need additional information, please let me know.

I am filing a complaint for "deceptive business practices". I had an "initial meeting" with my "trainer/the broker" on Sunday night 2/4/24 and was supposed to have another meeting today 2/6/24.I had told my trainer that I was unemployed and that the money for both payments ($99 for "criminal history" and $25 for POL **** would not be in my account until Thursday 2/8/24 and I was assured that an email would be sent requesting the payment not be processed until Thursday 2/8/24. Imagine my SURPRISE when I checked my bank account early morning hours (4AM) on 2/6/24 and the money for the"criminal history" had already been taken out.I do not want to work for a company that engages in DECEPTIVE business practices. I was lied to, as well as the fact that the "POL **** of $25 is a MONTHLY FEE. There was never any mention of having to pay monthly fees or "buy" anything.I was rushed through the contract and told to sign and initial here and here and the trainer filled out the majority of it.Yes, I should have "known better", but the trainer/broker was the spouse of an acquaintance in a small town, so you would think you could trust them. That would be a NOPE.There was never any mention of me having to PURCHASE Life Insurance and do all of the steps BEFORE I could start "selling" the products to people.I AM UNEMPLOYED....I HAVE NO INCOME. I was needing a job that was flexible so that I could take my elderly and incapacitated parents to the doctors and for surgeries, etc.I would like my money refunded, as I never started the licensing classes (was scheduled for March *****, 2024) or official trainings.

The nature of this dispute is that Primerica Financial Services has violated my rights as an agent, breached their own Independent Business contract and policies, and have been absolutely complicit in allowing ongoing theft of commissions and personnel.

I have held a life insurance policy with Primerica for a year, on Dec 4th, I called, spoke to a representative to cancel my policy, she asked for my policy number, some other info and in a few minutes said that my policy was successfully cancelled and closed out. There was no email or any other correspondence but I felt confident that the representative cancelled the policy, however on January 3, 2024 I was billed $31.92 and again on January 24, 2024 I was billed $31.92. Even if the policy had not been cancelled there was no reason for me to be billed twice, however the policy was supposed to be cancelled and I would like a refund for both of these payments and my policy to be cancelled as Primerica is still showing that my policy is active.

I am rejecting this response because: I have NOT received any email and I have looked in my Spam folder as well. This is absolutely absurd because if Primerica was a legitimate company and not a scam they would have no problem issuing a refund for charging me after cancellation in December then the 2 charges in one month. This is an absolute robbery.

On January 1, **** we received a "year to date" statement which said we had $0.00 in the investment acct. Called ********************** on 1-16-24 to ask why we were at $0. This company does not provide clear statements to the consumer as to what is being paid for. They brush you off in a matter of minutes to a problem you are having with payments status. When you make a car payment they only take partial payment. You have to call them and correct the situation yourself. This company doesnt send over your copy of your contract even when they tell you they will send it to you within the hour multiple times. I really feel like this car company is doing undercover dirty scams with peoples hard earned money.

Based on the client's complaint it appears the client may be referring to a car loan or payment. We are an

life insurance company and I was unable to locate the client in our records.

I don't think this complaint is directed to us. If the client can provide a policy number, I'll be happy to search our records again.
