On March 5th 2025, I put down a down payment of $1,500 for a 2011 ****** versa with ****** miles on it. I was told that payments would be $134 per week. Made my first payment on March 20th in the amount of $178 that they took for my account. That was more than we had agreed on. They're overcharging for vehicles that are not even a quarter of what they are worth. It is a scam. They shut your car off, they don't keep track of what you paid, there's bad reviews everywhere this place needs to be investigated. It's ridiculous how they're stealing from people. Hard-working people such as myself.Business Response

Hello so I purchased a car, I put the $800 down that they asked for & now two months later they say I owe $2000. Mind you, whatever tax thing they have going on was never explained. I been paying the $255 car note every two weeks on time. Mind you I have only had the car for 2 month. The ** never worked, I told them it never got fixed. When I turn the car on it says Service Tire Monitor. That also never was down. I also got an oil change, tint removed because it was coming off, new windshield wipers cause the ones the car came with was done for. Not to mention I have to get brakes and rotors all the way around and 4 new tires and they expect a $2000 payment. If this is the case should I give the car back and get all my money back I have put down, the payments I made plus the money I put into the car to keep it up and running? Gas money I wouldnt ask for that back because I need that to get me to and what I need to do. But the $2000 they want I dont have to give to them because that was never explained at the time of purchase. I can return the car but I would need all my money back so that I can go purchase else where or they can continue to get the $255 every two weeks.Business Response

I bought a ****** Camry 2009 back in june of 2023 , on the 3rd day of having the car i was coming down a very steep mountain and as im goin into the curves i applied my breaks but they were not stopping me instead it felt as tho the car was applying the gas ! At this point im standing on the breaks and decided to put the e break on and swung around into a truck pull off , sat there a min and calmed down decided to ease my way home when i did get home i told my cousin what happened she told me to call the car place and tell them to come get the car that i didnt want that death trap! When i called my account manager i had it on speaker for everyone around me to hear the convo and she told me , well just drive it till next week and c if it does it again!!!!!!!! Then pretty much hung up on me once that was said!! They didnt trade out the car or anything!!! So i had no choice but to drive the only vehicle i had to get my older family to and from the doctor and me to and from work! Yes it kept doing it so i called back when she had said to but had done research and told her there is a recall on the throttle pedal getting stuck open , she tells me then it aint their problem its ******* so call them about it i call them they wanted me to pay for the recall since the car had already been in a shop to fix the same issue that still wasn't fixed!!!!!! End of story the car ended up blowing a rod thru the motor and the car lot decided to take money out of a friend of mines account who wasnt even a co signer!!!! They took from him $1532 by this time i had paid in $20,000 + and will be doin more then just a review so they will be talking to an attorney!!!!!!!Business Response

We thank Ms. ****** for her feedback.
We have researched Ms. ****** s account. Our records indicate Ms. ************ purchased a 2009 ****** Camry on May 30, 2023.
On 12/02/2024 we received an abandoned motor vehicle notice. We picked up the vehicle from the towing lot as we were unable to reach Ms. ******* The fees that accrued were $560. Once we picked up the vehicle we discovered the vehicle was in an accident and the front bumper was off and the vehicle had frame damage.
After reviewing Ms. ******** account we do not see where she reported an accident until the vehicle was impounded on 11/23/24. Ms. ****** disputed the last several payments she made on the account. Ms. ****** has not contacted Sports & Imports since her vehicle was impounded.
We have attempted to contact Ms. ****** multiple different dates and times and we have not been successful in getting in touch with her. We consider any concerns resolve to the best of our ability

I purchased a car from sports and imports on a Friday evening pulling off the lot noticing things wrong with the vehicle and was told to make a phone call on Monday morning come Monday morning. I called to speak to my case manager. My vehicle broke down transmission gone my manager gave me an extremely hard time and refused to transfer me to or tell me who her supervisor was. Seen as multiple friends of mine have bought or least vehicles from the same supplier of the vehicle. I have previous owner took it back because the transmission went out because I told them that I know this information they have told my car have been giving me the runaround what is the next step mechanical trade or fixing a vehicle and giving it back every time I call they tell me its under investigation and give me more information. What investigation is about? What are the steps in the process? What is coming next? Im still paying for the vehicle both car payments and insurance, but they refuse to fix the car to give me a new one. I have not heard anything from anybody for three days and Ive been calling multiple times a day every day , the fact that they knew that was good to speak and still sold it to me and refuse to honor their service agreement. They have to investigate the fact that I know that this car was trash from the previous owner.Business Response

They are selling lemons off the lot. Vehicle couldn't pass emissions. Took it in for repairs stayed in the shop over 6weeks. I still don't have a car. And they want me to make a payment on it. Keep sending notifications about repossession if I don't make a payment for the six weeks they have had my vehicle in there shop. I asked for my money back and was told no. I started financing in January, it is August. I gave them two attempts to fix the vehicle and it never got fixed but they keep trying to collect payments off my debit card. I told them on my last visit I want all my money back. I can't trust them they will lie just to make a dollar. That's bad businessBusiness Response

I purchased a car through Sports and Imports Auto in a Gainesville ******* in March 2024. I hit a deer in the vehicle in May 2024. The company came to retrieve the car for repair mid May. I had to come up with $1000 deductible to have the car repaired. That took me nearly 2 months. During that time the company continued to take payments every week. Not providing a replacement vehicle or rental or anything. I paid the deductible July 2024. I called to check on the vehicle and the company couldnt tell me whether they were fixing the wrecked vehicle or if they were replacing the vehicle with another vehicle. I called for 2 weeks. Eventually this ended in my calls being forwarded to voicemail. I emailed and got no response. They still never replaced the vehicle. They took 2 months worth of payments and $1000 deductible and I still have no car and I cant get any answers as to why.Business Response

**********************,
Firstly I want to apologize on behalf of Sports and Imports for not meeting either your or our high expectations. We take feedback like this seriously and strive to improve our products and services.
On March 25, 2024, Mr. ********* acquired the vehicle in question. He was involved in an accident in May; however, the specific date remains unclear as he opted not to report the incident to law enforcement. On July 2, 2024, Mr. ********* settled his $1,000 deductible, thereby closing his account in good standing and fulfilling the remaining balance of $16,500 on his financed vehicle.
We understand your frustration and sincerely apologize for the difficulties you've faced. However, it's important to note that our policy regarding vehicle repairs and coverage is clearly outlined in the contract agreement. The responsibility for the deductible rests with the vehicle owner in such incidents, as it is standard practice in auto insurance.
Your satisfaction is important to us, and we will do our best to address your needs promptly.

I am rejecting this response because: the contract also states that the buyer of the vehicle will be allowed to obtain another vehicle post repair and or deductible. I was never given the option to get a new vehicle. It was also never explained to me why I could not have another vehicle. Or that my account had been closed. They took the deductible after taking payments for 2 months that we didnt have a car because they took it supposedly for repair.
This is all very terrible business practice. Id like my money back for the two months I paid for a vehicle I didnt have possession of. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
*****************************************Business Response

**********************,
We understand your concerns regarding the handling of your vehicle after the incident. However, since you did not file a police or incident report following the wreck in May, we were unable to verify the circumstances leading to it, which affects our ability to transfer you into another vehicle as per your contract. The deductible payment you made was accepted to close your account, as this was standard procedure in the absence of any documented incident. We regret any confusion regarding your options, but our policy requires clear documentation for any considerations of a new loan. Unfortunately, we are unable to process a refund for the months of payment in question, as these payments cover the loan obligations during that time. We appreciate your understanding.
