"RETGUNS2021" has been locked and has been terminated.I previously owned an *** gun business, ****************** a C corporation in ************.I acted as the principal owner and its president.Proof *********** sold guns with GunBroker for 21 years under the account "EYEBYE" with **** positive feedbacks and no negatives. In 2021, I closed this business, turned in the *** to the *** and retired to *******.Proof *********** was dissolved with the Commonwealth of ************ and no longer exists. The "EYEBYE" ********************* account was deactivated by me, and the corporation was "No longer a registered user" according to GunBroker.I closed the EYEBYE GunBroker corporate account since it was out of business.Believing that the "EYEBYE" corporate account was closed, I wanted to open a personal account with GunBroker. My screen name was "RETGUNS2021" and I purchased two guns through the site with positive feedback from both sellers.I added a bank account as I want to sell my personal gun parts and accessories on GunBroker. It took a few tries, but I successfully added my personal bank account and thought I was now able to list on the site. The next day, I was notified by GunBroker that my account RETGUNS2021 had been locked and terminated.Three automated reasons have been given by GunBroker for this:1) Terminated due to the Feedback rating falling below the acceptable level for multiple transactions. (Both accounts had a 100% positive feedback rating with zero negatives.)2) I had two user names at the same time. (The EYEBYE corporate account had been deactivated prior to the RETGUNS2021 personal account being opened.)3) It was reported for fraudulent account information or illegal activity. (There has been no fraudulent or illegal activity.)Is it possible for a human being at GunBroker to review the above scenario?I want to sell my personal gun parts and accessories on your site through the screenname of RETGUNS2021Business Response

Gunbroker.com has been infiltrated by scammers posing as online sellers. On 14 January 2023, I was scammed out of $412.42. After sending payment to "seller", I was notified a day later by ********* not to send payment, and that account "may" be fraudulent. After reaching out to Gunbroker via email (since there is no other way to contact them), I received an "automated" reply almost a week later stating that they are not responsible. In my original email, I had asked ********* how an account with an A+ rating and positive sale record could be fraudulent. They provided no explanation and showed no remorse, and basically added salt to the wound by saying "thanks for shopping with gunbroker." There customer service has likely been outsourced to the same country that is scamming us paying customers. Gunbroker has been breached and or is likely in on the scams themselves. There is no telling. Buyers beware. Stay away from Gunbroker. Your information is not confidential and you receive no support when needed most.Business Response

Seller on gun broker started threatening me with all sorts of actions when I tried discussing payments with them. Asked GunBroker to step in and mediate, instead of helping or even acknowledging that I'm involved with a hostile seller I get generic responses.Business Response

We reviewed the screen shots of messaging between the users and did not see anything hostile. All bidding/buying is a binding obligation to complete a transaction. You should not place a bid or buy an item until you have verified shipping costs and any questions you have regarding the item. If you are unable to complete a transaction, the seller will need to complete the credit request process to cover his fees and taxes which can lead to account suspension. That is listed under the site rules and user agreement it is ********************** policy.
We did retract the bid and ask the seller to block the user.

Gunbroker has no protection for buyers. They play the middleman, but take no responsibility if something goes wrong. In January of 2020 I purchased a 40 caliber Taurus and 200 rounds of 40 caliber ammo. The 40 caliber ammo was mailed to my house, and most of it was re-packed bullets, fake bullets, bullets that dont even fit in any gun. Then I go to pick up the gun from the *** and they say the gun is not Available for purchase in ********. The gun was not labeled properly and just because of the spelling of this gun it was not on the handgun roster. Luckily ******** was able to put this gun up under some type of court review and I was able to get the gun eight months later. In August. That was my first bad experience with gun broker. When I reached out to customer service for support, I didnt receive a response in over two months and they said they were not responsible for anything. End of story. I felt totally helpless. Yet I purchased this gun on their website. I said, I would never purchase another gun on their website. And then I gave them a second chance. The next weapon I purchased was a Sig 556 rifle. The seller sold me the gun with no problem and then I found out. Its banned in ********. On their website they do list that there is buyer protection for these types of things. When I contacted them about it on November 27 of 2022 I did not even get a response until January 4 of 2023. Once again, they claimed no responsibility and said theres nothing they can do about it. This website gives you no guarantees of their products and leaves you high and dry when something doesnt go right. Theres no one to call. Theres no customer support. All I was left with was an email response that could take up to two months. For real this time Needless to say I will not be using GunBroker ever again.Business Response

The customer has purchased item not legal to own in their state. The listing explicitly states, "You must contact the seller to resolve any questions or concerns before placing a bid." and "Some listed items may not be legal in every state." The seller stated in the listing, "DO NOT BID IF YOU CANNOT LEGALLY OWN ITEM FOR ANY REASON."
Listing terms, including return and refund policies, are per the individual seller's discretion. Customers are encouraged to read all terms of sale stated in the listing, to ask the seller all questions concerning the item and terms, and to confirm with a qualified legal expert the item is legal in their area, prior to bidding on/purchasing an item.
Per the Buyer Protection Plan Limitations and Restrictions, a claim will not be covered if "The Buyer may not purchase, possess, or receive an Item under applicable federal, state or local law."

I am rejecting this response because:i was also sold fake 40 caliber bullets from one of their sellers. I contacted customer support and never got a response.
honestly, the quickest response Ive ever gotten from them with me, taking a different tone with an email. Other than that they have not offered any support.
Furthermore, their policies are vague, and not easy to find. But they do promote their buyer protection program in big bold writing. Its not good business
And why would they allow someone to purchase a banned firearm in their state in the first place? And then not offer any type of protection or guarantee? Theres no protection for the buyer.
They know exactly what theyre doing. They get their commission regardless of if we lose our money
Sincerely,

12 /18/22 7/01 pm east time I had high bid on gun broker .it was going to end at 7/16 no one out bid my $241.00 well the auction switched to be over at 7/25 pm then time run out no one out bid me again then it re set to 7/40 end auction. I dont know if I won its 7/40 pm now.Business Response
Date: 12/19/2022
User was not named the winner. All of our auctions use the 15 Minute Rule. If a user places a bid within 15 minutes of the scheduled end date/time, the auction automatically switches into a special mode analogous to the "going, going, gone" of a live listing. In this mode, the listing is automatically extended until no bids have been placed within 15 minutes. When 15 minutes have passed with no bidding activity, the listing ends.
The purpose for the 15 Minute Rule is to prevent sniping and offer all users the opportunity to bid. The 15 Minute Rule allows all bidders an equal opportunity to place their best bid, and the seller can be assured he/she will receive maximum value for the item.
NOTE: All listing calculations displayed on the site appear in the format of Day(s), Hour(s), and Minute(s), whereas the actual listing time is programmed using Day(s), Hour(s),Minute(s), and Second(s). This is why we encourage users to place their maximum bid amount when initialing bidding.
Please see the time bid history for time stamps on the bidding. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/960048575Initial Complaint

I have attempted to create an account and keep getting locked by your system. I have tried a few times now. I understand a person can only have one registration, but I have never had an account before. The only reason I have created multiple accounts is because your system keeps erroneously locking them.Furthermore, the system is locking the account AFTER it is verified. I have also sent them a photo of my passport card.I have never had an account before, and this is a system issue. I request that my account is fully restored, and that the system not lock it out again.Business Response

On 12/13/2022 I placed an order thru Gunbroker with GT distributors for 2 Glock 17 17rd magazines. The cost was $42.00 with shipping. GTeccepted the order and sent me a confirmation email thru Gunbroker. On 12/14/2022 at 8:34 am I received an email from GT Distributors that they were not going to send me my order. Due to ****** Measure 114. Measure 114 has a Temporary injunction put on it by Judge ******* in ****** County OR until at least 12/23/2022. Meaning they could have legally sent me the order. But they refused to follow through on their promise. I called them on 12/14/2022 to ask about my refund. ********* had taken the money out of my account on 12/14/2022 after GT informed me they would not ship my order. ** said that I would have to take it up with *********. I've asked ********* for my refund on 12/14-15/2022. They have not replied to my inquiries about a refund. They will probably say their policy has to be followed on this refund matter. No it doesn't. I believe they should issue a refund immediately, because GT refused to give me what is legally allowed in ****** at this time. I know ********* has the same emails as i do. Yet they have not communicated with me on this matter. I would like a full refund of $42.00 with no fees of any kind taken out. They don't have to restock, because they never intended to send my order. The sooner the better.Business Response

Created an account. Verified the account. Began to sell items. One person bid on three items and refused to pay. That person then left us three "f" ratings. Our account was locked. I chatted with ******. She claimed to have unlocked the account. Account is still locked. I want the account unlocked. Issue is not resolved.
