I bought 2 FIXD OBD devices from this company and they shipped the items I bought from them. BUT this company continues to charge me for upgrades and premium memberships that I never signed up for. I have emailed them repeatedly asking them to removed my credit card from their system and they refuse. I have asked them the delete my account with my personal data and they refuse.Business Response

Additionally, it looks like one of our agents has already issued a refund, canceled your subscription, and deleted your account and credit card information. I ordered **** device as a gift for my brother-in-law. I am disabled, have no use for a device like ****. Ordered in 2021 Sale Price $19.99 plus tax. *When I received the email of my purchase, it listed an additional $35 for a Premium Subscription. **I immediately sent an online form to **** telling them to CANCEL THE SUBSCRIPTION, and to give me a REFUND. It was a gift for someone else. *No Reply. *NO MONEY REFUNDED. (Note: My brother-in-law saw online that **** could be used Free by downloading the app. When he found out that I never got my money refunded he threw the device away.) *In my area we have issues with the internet service, unable to go online, check msgs, etc. *04/21/2023 I went online to ck my bank balance & discovered I had been billed $69.99 on 04/20/23 by ****. **Immediately I contacted my *********** closed my account, leaving me No Access to my Money until a new bank card arrives. **NO ONE EVER USED THE **** DEVICE! **No App Download or Registration ever took place. *I searched bank records for 2022, found **** had charged my card in 04/2022 for $69.99. **04/21/23 I sent both an online ************ to **** about the 04/20/23 unauthorized charge on my account. I asked them to REFUND the 04/20/23 charge of $69.99. **The replies I received were basically to tell me that since I didn't Cancel Within 30 Days of the Original Device Purchase and the $35 Unauthorized Subscription Charge in 04/2021 that they Won't Refund My Money. **Even worse I still have a Subscription to use the ************** for the **** device until APRIL 19, ****. A DEVICE THAT DOESN'T EXIST! *TOS aka: TOU on **** website says, If they terminate your subscription they will give you a pro rated refund. And, "If you dispute any charges you must let **** know within sixty (60) days after the date that **** charges you." *I notified **** within 1 day! I am rejecting the **** response at this time for the following reasons: Until I see the Refund of $69.99 returned to my bank I refuse to trust this company. It's unbelievable that myself and countless others are forced to file complaints with our Banks, the BBB, and ******************* to regain money which **** knows they are taking through highly questionable methods. When **** finally sends email stating how to Cancel a Subscription it directs the person to go to a page online that requires ID Code supposedly sent in the Original Purchase Email. Like myself, others probably don't have that Code or Fear entering it. All due to problems experienced with a company who forces us to Pay for something we don't want or even have the device it links to. I thank **** for a prompt response to BBB. However, no person should be forced to seek help from their Bank, BBB or another other agency to settle a problem such as this. Thank you BBB for being there as a valuable mediator. I will update this after I receive a Refund for $69.99, which represents only 1 of 3 unauthorized charges made to my account by ****.

As stated in my earlier response I refused the initial response from **** pending the actual Refund to the new bank card account I was forced to open to protect funds from further charges by ****. I have received the **** Refund and now have access to my new bank account. Issues like these could be totally avoided if **** gave great consideration to changing the handling of these matters. I purchased a FIXD unit and paid for it. Now a few weeks later, my credit card has been charged for $99.99 and I did not authorize this charge in any way at all! I need a full refund and any/all subscription that you signed me up for without my authorization to be removed from your system.I am highly upset at this action by this company as it has caused other actual existing bills to not be paid! On 4/13 I received a confirmation email that my subscription to FIXD had renewed for $69.99, which I thought was strange because I thought I had cancelled this service. The vehicle I had originally gotten this for is gone now, and I no longer have the device it uses, and I remember going to cancel the subscription, although apparently something prevented that from finishing. I'm not saying that I cancelled and they kept me on, I think somewhere in the 3-4 confirmation process of cancelling I thought I was done and I wasn't. Ok.So minutes after receiving this email I reach out and let them know, Hey I thought I had cancelled this, I haven't used the service in a long time now and I'm definitely not about to use it for another year, can you reverse the charge that just went out?Apparently not because this isn't happening in the first thirty days of my service, during the money back guarantee period. Well yeah, I'm not requesting a refund because I'm dissatisfied with the product or service. There was a mistake and I'm acting as quickly as possible to fix it. If I'd received a renewal reminder before the money went out, I would have done it then.No, I get a second email saying You bought this service back in 2021 and your opportunity to get a refund was then. Since you didn't cancel in time we can keep charging you, but good news you can keep using the service now for another year! Well, no, I can't. I don't have the thing anymore. Also, I haven't used it for the PAST year either. At the end of this email from their service the representative thanked me for my understanding during "these hard times". Yes, I'm glad my $70 donation will keep the lights on at FIXD, because it won't be doing that at my house.Business Response

I purchased the Fixd device on March 28, 2022. I was unaware nor had I received a renewal notice ahead of time for the subscription to the service. I received a notice from my credit card company, that the charge of $69.99 for the renewal was charged to my account. I sent an email to the company to cancel and refund my card. I saw, online, that I could get a second Fixed Sensor for $19.99 plus tax. I thought it was a wonderful opportunity to get one for my sons car. I ordered it, and it arrived within a couple of weeks. Then, several days later, I was looking at my bank transactions. It was there that I noticed a charge of a $69.99, to FIXD, which had been paid through PayPal. I did not authorize this payment. I am 65, and have been taken advantage of several times over the past three years. I dont have a lot of money, am on a fixed income, and I guess you could say Im simply sick and tired of these scams that are allowed to take advantage, over and over again, of people like me. fixd car scanner purchased march 6 2020. Subscription has been paid since then. March 13 realized ***** was charged to my credit card without notice. Went to website to try to cancel and get a refund. Find where my card was stored on there website. It is very hard to figure out how to cancel. Sent email to cancel and get a refund for remaining amount not going to be used for the year. Return policy no refunds after first year? Totally crazy.
