    Predatory company, door to door signed up an elderly parent with Alzheimer's (who cannot contract due to his illness). As POA, I have tried multiple times to rectify and cancel the account. Have been double charged, have been given the run around. Unethical and dishonest business. Do not recommend every using this company.

    EcoShield is a scam company that uses unfair marketing tactics, unlawful 3 day recession period, and horrible customer services located in a foreign country. They initially tried to sign me up for a contract but had the wrong address, which was my neighbors house. They never completed any services on my lawn or house. They attempted to charge me for two treatments that were never done because they had the wrong address on their contract. After multiple calls they refunded me for the services but are trying to make me pay a cancellation fee of $250. I have called numerous times and they have told me that if I send them a piece of mail with my correct address they will waive the cancellation fee. I send them an electric bill and they still attempting to collect the cancellation fee. This company is basically a scam that has no intergrity.Now they claiming they are going to send my account to a 3rd party collection agency. I indeed to contact the ***********************************

    Initial Complaint 05/21/2024 Complaint Type:Billing Issues Status:Ecoshield is a company engaging in deceptive and fraudulent practices. In May 2024, after an Ecoshield salesperson offered a pest control for my home, claiming that they would treat the interior and exterior of the home as a pest control program. They promised that there would carry out that service and moreover the salesman who came to my door misrepresented misled and made statements that now I am finding out are not true. I contact the company to inquire and inform them that they weren't doing the work at my home as they had promised by treating the interior and exterior of the home. Ecoshield claimed they had completed their work, How could they have ? If they never came into my home moreover they also claimed by giving me as date that a representative did come an spray the outside well that is all good a dandy but my security cameras on the date that they claim doesnt show any one at my home on that date neither front nor back of the home. I called the company and all I have gotten is the run around they are trying to strong arm me by using scare tactics regarding the false document that I was misled and duped to sign based on the representatives claims. Ecoshields practices suggest they operate fraudulently across the country, as evidenced by complaints on Reddit. We are filing a complaint with BBB and have also involved the credit card company to dispute the charges.Update:This is substantiated by our RING camera security system, which has footage proving Ecoshield never sprayed inside the house. Effective pest control requires indoor spraying, and our house, including the basement, main level, and upper stairs, was not properly serviced. We are requesting that the service and what ever document that was signed be immediately rescinded based on the misleading and deceptive explanation and assurance that was given by the sales person like you can cancel anytime with out any penalty,

    We have a no soliciting sign. The guy approached my husband. Pointed out wasps and claimed he could get rid of them and the voles and mice. My family is allergic, so we agreed. They came out that day.but they did not have the wasp spray. They scheduled a whole new day. They called it a follow up even though they didnt complete the first service. The wasps came back immediately. Another company stopped by and offered a better service at a lower price. I called and called to cancel, they insisted they could get rid of my pests and scheduled a follow up. I was able to talk to corporate, Who reduced my payment to what another salesman offered later in the week who saw we had a wasp problem. $185 to $135. With a $50 credit. Corporate tried to get ahold of the local company as well to schedule, but was not able. They called about the next appointment but never did a follow up. Finally they did a follow up when we were not home. We returned a hour or two after service to more wasps. I called and fired them for Negligence. My grandson was stung who is allergic. They were unable to fulfill the contract (that I never received) and were unavailable for follow **** They keep sending bills for cancelling. I had to hire a competent. So they did one service and one follow up. I paid 185, so they owe me $50. As that was what we agreed upon. They are sending bills for hundreds of dollars. $231 plus now they are threatening more charges and bills. I have spent hours with multiplayer people trying to cancel. They are now threatening to go after our credit.

    I am rejecting this response because: This is exactly how this company works. They transfer you from place to place wasting your time. Headquarters says they can help, but then sends it to the Utah office and it gets messed up again. Corporate is the office that makes the financial decisions and the ones who adjusted my bill and tried to get ahold of the Utah office to make me an appointment, but they were also unable to get ahold of them.

    I have terminated services with eco shield, they came to my home to control pest problem. The salesman that sold me the service said if you're not happy and the service is not working you can cancel anytime, zero charge. I gave the service two months, they did 2 treatments stating I would see a difference. There wasnt a difference, several pests kept evading home, costing me $300 for a service that does not work.They have a devious practices, the sales person says one thing, but the financial team is now stating a cancellation fee is owed, their service did not work.

    I was contacted today 8-14-24 by email. It stated that I would have to pay the cancellation fee or continue my service or in four days my bill is going to collection. However, I spoke with them on the phone on numerous occasions and explained to them that because they are spraying the pesticide around the perimeter of my house, my ant situation hasnt improved it has only pushed the ants deeper into my house in places they never travelled before. So being that their service is not working at all, and my circumstances have only gotten worse since hiring them, its only feasible that I discontinue the service. I already paid them over a thousand dollars only to get more ants deeper inside my house. The breach of contract has to be accountable to both parties. They breached contract by providing a negligible service.

    Agreed to terms of recurring contract agreement on 5/20/24 5/21 Initial Treatment ($189 Charge)5/31 follow-up visit as we were having worse issues with ants 6/10 Charged $189 for egg cycle treatment (per contract this is to occur ***** days from initial treatment so this should not have been charged) Was raining and incomplete treatment as well but still charged in full.6/13 called and expressed significant concerns with treatments not working. Was passed to a supervisor ********************* who told me to always contact him about concerns going forward. Multiple contacts before he ever got back to me for issues 6/27 Follow-up visit because Spiders and ants still worst we have had.7/23 contacted **** multiple times via text and phone and never got a response for follow up treatments that were needed. Called the main line and was told the Atlanta office would get back to me several times but never heard back.8/2 Worked with ****** in *********** to try and get resolution and she promised me a call back from ******* office next day. Never received call back 8/9 Never receiving the treatment or call back, I cancelled the Ecoshield contract.8/9 Received an Invoice for cancellation of $200.My contention is that Ecoshield never provided the services as promised as part of the contract and requesting a full refund and clearing of the proposed invoice.

    I am rejecting this response because: the dates of the 30 day egg cycle treatment wear in now way in the ***** days per the contract.  The service and charge was in 21 days. This however is not the main issue. Follow up service for issues were never delivered the weeks I called and requested end of July and early August. Rather it was continuously attempted to use the August treatment which comes as a charged treatment to serve as the free follow up treatments. This company engaged in more fraudulent activities than delivering the services agreed to in the contract. I will dispute this charge and. Company with every capacity I have so they do not s**** over other good intentioned and trusting customers.

It is unfortunate that it took so many effort to get the business to the correct resolution. We do not want to receive any touch up services nor any further interactions with Ecoshield. Beyond the incompetence in scheduling and follow-up the treatments did not appear to be effective.

    Ecoshield is a company engaging in deceptive and fraudulent practices. In March 2024, after moving into a new house, an Ecoshield salesperson offered a pest control deal for $179, claiming it was a discounted rate from the usual $679. They assured us they would return in two weeks to spray inside the house once we moved the boxes away from the walls.After the initial visit, no one returned, yet my dad was charged $179. When he called to inquire, Ecoshield claimed they had completed their work, which did not include any promised indoor spraying. My dad requested to speak to a manager but was told, "We don't have a manager." They assured a callback, which never happened.A month later, my dad was charged another $179. Upon calling again, the representative was rude, insisting my dad had agreed to the charges. Despite his protests and request to cancel the service, the company refused to put anyone in authority on the phone. Up to this point, they had only sprayed the basement, not the main or upper levels as required.On July 24, 2024, while I was picking up my dad from his colon cancer surgery, Ecoshield attempted to spray our yard. They had not sprayed the house, raising questions about what they were doing. Again, I told them their services were canceled and to leave our property.This situation constitutes elder fraud, as my 80-year-old father was taken advantage of. Ecoshields practices suggest they operate fraudulently across the country, as evidenced by complaints on Reddit. We are filing a complaint with the *** and have also involved the credit card company to dispute the charges.**Update:** This is substantiated by our RING camera security system, which has footage proving Ecoshield never returned to spray inside the house.     I have had a subscription with ecoshield for over a year now as part of which, rodent service is included. When I called, they sent an inspector that quoted me an additional $1800 to take care of the rate problem. They claimed "exclusion service" wasn't included with my subscription (which it was per their sales **** but trapping was. When I said I would like to schedule a service for trapping and removing the rats (again, included) they don't respond to emails or calls from us. Given that my subscription was supposed to cover this, I expect to be refunded my subscription fee over the past 6 months.

    I was not informed by the sales representative who came to my door that i had 3 days to cancel or i would be charged a 700 dollar cancelation fee. When i told him i did not have enough money he kept pressuring me until i agreed to get the service. I thought it was 126 for two services when in fact it was 126 for each time they came to my house, which i was not informed properly upon the walk through of the service. I feel as i was lied to about the whole service and i don't feel that it was right that i am being forced to pay for a service i do not want. I spoke with someone over the phone yesterday and she forced me to keep the plan as it was in my contract and that she would wave the fee of the 700 dollars if i stayed and make the contract a year instead of 2 years because she felt i needed the service. I had no choice but to accept because i do not have almost 800 dollars to pay. If there is anything anyone can do to rectify this please help.
