      Around June of last year I took out a small loan from 1st Franklin of $500. My payments was for $95 a month. I missed two months of payment and they sent me a letter in the mail of a court date and a balance of $1000 balance. There is no way my balance is that high just from missing two months of payment.

      I settled my account with ******************** and was told that I would have a zero balance on my account, instead they updated my credit with a balance. That was extermely dishonest of them. I need my credit updated to a zero balance asap, because I did what they told me to do and paid what they told me to pay.

      1st Franklin Financial purchased my information from another company. That information was more than 2 years out of date. 1st Franklin then mailed a check for $2100 to an apartment that I moved out of in June of 2021, over 2.5 years ago. Someone got a hold of that check that was made out to me and tried to cash it. Thankfully, ***** @ the ******, ** 1st Franklin Financial spotted some discrepancies and contacted me to verify the details.They were unwilling to cancel the check unless I could prove I was *****************, and I was not willing to do that over the phone because I didn't trust a company who simply mails out checks made out to people who haven't lived at the mailing address in over 2 years, so I was forced to drive 35 minutes each way to their office and present I.D.I find this business practice very irresponsible and borderline predatory. I retained a copy of the check provided by 1st Franklin Financial.

      1st Franklin Financial of *****, ** sent me a payment installments that began in December 2023. *************** of *****'s hadn't started the job. The windows came in December and the windows and doorframes were installed. They have scheduled at least 5 times to return and complete the job. The air conditioner is still on the ground. Windows of ***** has created a neighborhood sore eye. Neighbors are talking. I am unable to get my loan canceled. There were windows already installed in 2018 incorrectly by a local worker. The windows were taken.

      The due date for my loan was 1/12/24. I mailed a payment to 1st Franklin Financial on 2/4/24 and my check was returned to me on 2/26/24 with a sticky note that said account filed in small claims. I called the creditor on 2/26/24 and the woman said the account was now 45 days late because a payment had not been received. I informed her that I mailed the payment in plenty of time for it not to be late and she told me that their PO Box had been temporarily closed and that her manager had made a note of receiving the check, but mailed it back to me and filed my account in small claims. I spoke to a lawyer who told me I should counter ****

      I made two separate purchases from Ashley ********* and Knoxville Wholesale Furniture on December 30, 2023. ****** told me that 1st Franklin was doing a "no sales tax" promotion. That is the only reason I bought through 1st Franklin. I signed receipts for ****** that show that I only agreed to pay/be charged $1,541.45 on 12/30/2023 and $2594,00 on January 30, 2023. These are the only amounts I agreed to be charged to me. Nothing more. 1st Franklin has sent me bills and posted on my online account that I owe them $1,810.26 for the account that I was only to be billed $1,541.45 on and $3,199.20 on the account I was only to be billed $2,594.00 on. They are refusing to send me bills reflecting the amounts I authorized ****** and 1st Franklin to charge me. Instead they are billing me as though I authorized the higher amounts, which I did not. This is fraudulent. I have never signed anything allowing 1st Franklin to bill me the higher amounts and should only be billed for what I have authorized.

      I am rejecting this response because it does not resolve the issue.  There is no reason why my account balance as shown online with the bank and/or on my statements should not be showing exactly as what they put in this letter and that is how it should be. I should only be showing as being billed for the amount I actually owe.  I do not owe them any interest right now but they are charging me online and on my statements as though I do. If they can put it into letter format what I actually owe then they should be able to do the same on billing statements and online. I feel they bill this way and do their accounts this way online on purpose to try to fool people who may be older or not financially savvy into paying more than what they have agreed to pay. Why else would you not simply have the amount the person owes reflected on billing and/or on their statements???  I want my online account and my statements to show the amount I actually owe this company not an amount that I never agreed to pay them.
