On February 24th, I parked my rental vehicle in a 711 parking lot, in an unmarked spot, with NO visible signs or markings. My car was towed and was told that there WAS supposed to be a sign on the pole pictured but it was agreed that it is missing. Thus, how is it justifiable to tow someone who had NO knowledge of it being a restricted spot or refuse to waive the towing fee? The company is totally unreasonable and is predatory against tourists.

2-2-2025, 3:25-5pm My partner and I arrived to my car being attached to the tow - connected sideways on a diagonal. We were within 50 feet of the car and the tow driver refused to release my car. He took off fast, refusing to stop for us to get a wallet and medication from my glovebox. We ran (Im a 50% disabled veteran with serious physical limitations) after my car, and watched as he towed my car sideways at a very high speed over rough terrain onto the highway. My realtor picked us up and drove us to the tow yard 25 minutes away. My car was dragged over rough ground, potholes, completely sideways. Upon arrival, I approached the driver to address the illegal tow and he claimed to be deaf. I began signing American Sign Language, and he laughed, cussed at me and started speaking normally. He refused to discuss the issue, said I had to see the cashier to get my car back. He then brought another man over to stand there next to my car, and intimate me. My partner was behind me and my realtor was in the car watching and listening. The woman cashier refused to help. The cashier said the realtor would have had to email the tow company that morning to state there was an open house to ensure no tows, as their trucks patrol. The realtor was present. We showed the cashier the pictures of the open house signs, as well as the text correspondence from the realtor scheduling the viewing. The cashier said it still did not matter. She refused to accept documented proof of the legal parking and prior coordination with the property representative. When refusing to sign the illegal tow violation/ ticket, the tow driver attached a tractor to my vehicle, with my lower bumper lip touching the ground, yanking the undercarriage of my car with my belongings inside until I signed the document. The cashier refused to accept my credit or debit card when asked repeatedly, forcing me to pay in cash using their ATM next to the register. My partner and realtor were present for all of this.

On 02/16/25 at approximately 1:15 pm. I was taking the cutoff from ******* onto **********. When I looked to see if there were any vehicles approaching. There was a VIP towing truck. But there was enough room for me to switch lanes going up towards the freeway/kunia road. I was not even in the lane more than 1 minute. When I looked back I seen the VIP towing truck right behind me not even 10 away from my vehicle. I had to switch lanes because he did not slow down to have a better distance from my vehicle. When I switched lanes he sped up & drove onto the freeway. I got the beginning of the license plate *****. I then called ********************** truck. I explained to the guy (dispatcher) what had just happened & I asked to speak to the owner. He told me the owner was not in & to call back tomorrow. I then asked him for the owners name. He refused to give me the owners name. He said it is confidential and I dont have authorization to get the owners name. I then told him that its not right for me not to get the owners name. And that is not how businesses are or work. He then asked me with a rude attitude well did your car get hit? I told him no! Your driver almost hit my vehicle. So I would like the owners name. He then told me to leave my ************** He will relay the message to the owner when he or she returns. I told him no I want the owners name. If not I will contact BBB. He then quickly gave me the owners name. I thanked him and hung up. If you look on **** website they have a lot of negative reviews. Towing vehicles unlawfully. Very rude & unprofessional to customers. They are very unprofessional. And does not go by Hawaii business laws.

**I am filing this on behalf of my fiance who is currently stationed in Hawaii as an active duty U.S. Marine**On 12/30/24, I have a video of the guy towing my fiances vehicle out on a normal tow truck dolly. It's on a ring doorbell and you can hear it scrapping and the driver stops to look at it but just hops right back in and proceeds to drive with it scraping all the way down the road till the camera stops recording. Oddly enough it took an hour and some change to show up to VIP Towing on a flat bed even though a tow truck took it. I asked multiple times where his car was at and how long it was going to take multiple times and the lady working just kept saying ten minutes. I think something happened to the vehicle that they didn't want to disclose because when I asked why it showed up on a different truck they just told me to file a claim with my insurance. They refused to give me any information. They also overcharged for 20 miles of towing, however the towing location was 13 miles from my place of residence. I want my car repairs to be paid for or at least refunded my towing cost because I have already been given an estimate of $2695 in damages, JUST from the cosmetic damages they caused. I cant even drive my car now due to the mechanical issues they caused so Im not sure as to how much those damages are. The company is called VIP Towing in ******** hi . Phone number **********.

My car was towed from my apartment building, the reason stating that my parking pass was not displayed. When I called ahead to ask if I arrived and the pass was hanging as I remember, could I take the car without paying and I was told no that I would have to pay for the tow no matter what, even if it was towed by mistake. After contacting my property manager, they contacted this tow company to reprimand them for the unauthorized tow and told them not to charge me when I came for pickup. Unfortunately for me, I had already picked up and paid. So I called the company back and asked if they could issue a refund and they said they had spoken to the property manager and would issue a refund check by mail to the person who picked up the car (me). This took place on August 23 and I have not received a refund. I have called 3 times, each time met with the response I will check with a manager and then a hang up. I also attempted to send an email through their website and received no response.

VIP personnel targeted my association-registered vehicle at my townhouse complex where it was safely parked not impeding any operations only 5.5 feet from the door of my unit that I own. It was just outside of my garage stall partly under the balcony which, per our association rules, is a valid extension of said stall. I left my vehicle there as I routinely have for years as I temporarily worked in the garage and then proceeded into my unit to get ready for work. After a 20 minute gap inside, I noticed a truck towing my car. Mind you, this is an off-peak time and location for them to be doing random enforcement checks conversely to night time where unknown vehicles without decals are consistently using our shared guest stalls in violation of the complex rules. Neither myself nor my association manager received a phone call and no one knocked / rang the doorbell to make contact with me when they decided to hook up my car en route to the lot. I called VIP to which they were non informative and short with me when making simple inquiries. I eventually got to the location which, additionally, was ambiguous, unsafe, and unwelcoming - the female office worker was very rude and pushy with insisting on paying an absurd $184 with cash only, failed to provide me with any information on how to dispute / inquire further, lied to me when asked twice if there was a website for their company (there is), and dismissed me when I asked for photos of my vehicle at the time of towing for my records. Along with other subjective negative experiences with VIP, I can now affirmatively say that this towing service is the most resentful business in their respective sector on the island of O'ahu as they provide no effort to exercise any objectively reasonable discretion that other vendors would. These borderline scam operations VIP are running are inherently vile and should never be tolerated as they will only be conducive to a hostile society and ****** animosity for all parties involved.

My ***** Fit (TZX026) was towed from 1450 ********* (shopping center) shortly after midnight on 5/12/24.The car suffered significant damage during the tow.I spoke with *** at the window and he did not offer a walk-through of the vehicle nor explain that the invoice stated a release of liability from damage when I signed the invoice. After returning to the window, he verbally agreed that a walk-through was not sufficiently provided and that he did not explain what we were signing on the invoice.*** offered pictures of the vehicle prior to the tow and there was, in fact, no damage to the vehicle prior to the tow according to your photo documentation. I have an image of said picture of the vehicle through the computer monitor. I was instructed to submit a claim to the email provided, which I did, along with numerous follow-up emails and phone calls. No one has followed up with me to resolve the cost caused to my vehicle while being towed. I am seeking compensation for repairs to the vehicle from damage caused by VIP towing as well as a refund for the cost of the tow.

My car was towed from the front of my house on the morning of 8/11/24 possibly around the hours of 2-7 AM. I picked up my car at VIP towing at ********************************** on the same day (8/11/24) at around 1:30 PM. As I was driving my car off their property, I noticed my steering wheel was crooked and my car would not drive straight. I brought it to ********* in aiea immediately to have the car professionally assessed. I brought it in for an alignment but I have been advised that my left inner tie rod has been bent and will require replacement. I checked the damage myself and seen that the damage was definitely caused from the tow. It looks as if the tow truck driver has hooked onto the tie rod and pulled the vehicle from there, causing said damage. I was quoted by ********* approximately $600 for the repair. I declined the repairs for now and left with my vehicle paying $172.76 for the alignment. I also have pictures to prove that the damage was caused from the tow. My vehicle is now left unsafe to drive at the moment and it was not like that prior to the tow. I had reached out to VIP towing today (8/12/24 @ 5:00pm) at their number ************. I explained the situation and the person replied who told you to call here? And then proceeded to leave me on hold for 20 minutes. Seemed as if they were not going to pick up the phone again so I hung up. Ive read many bad reviews about this company being unprofessional and hostile so I hesitated to call back. I would like VIP towing to take responsibility and pay up for their actions causing damage to my vehicle. Ill also add that I spoke with my insurance and they may not cover it since the damages may cost less than the deductible rate.

My car was out on a Turo with a guest, my car got towed by VIP towing since my guest were parked in a guest parking which they were guests of the hotel. When my guests went to retrieve the car, they noticed a damage made by their towing company which clearly would be done by a tow truck, they advised them to have their insurance solve the issue. VIP towing were very rude to them and very dismissive and kept on telling them to have their insurance take care of the damage. This is unethical and unfair.
