      This all started when our association reinforced towing cars, which we agreed to the rules and abide by the rules. But VIP towing does not do their due diligence to make sure the hanging placard is there before towing the car. They look one time, and also the events of towing are all in the evenings so its hard to see the placard hanging from the mirror. When we arrive at the business, we are then told the picture did not have the placard on the mirror. I said look again, it is green, it is small and its hanging. Our car is parked on *******************************, we have been harassed and bullied by this company. This time I am fighting back. Our parking ticket is always hanging but the towing person refuses to do their due diligence in making sure the placard is there hanging. This time police were called to file a police report against the business. I have included photos of the card. This business clearly does not care and only wants to collect innocent peoples money. It has now come to the point of harassment and bullying as this is the 6th time our car has been towed. This business has lots of complaints according to YELP and their social media! They scratch peoples vehicles and are not held accountable for it. Our lawyers have already been called. This business needs to close or change their character and integrity of their business model.

      On Tuesday, 7/23/24, I paid ****************** for three hours of parking at 6:25 PM which meant the parking should have expired at 9:25 PM. I came back to my vehicle the same night at approximately 8:30 PM and the vehicle was gone and towed. When I paid for the parking spot, the license plate was input incorrectly, but only by one letter. This means that there were 5 characters input onto the online parking payment page. Furthermore, all Hawaii license plates are 6 characters, so this is predatory business practice to accept a license plate that is less than 6 characters. The company is waiting for anyone to make a little mistake just to give the towing company a chance to tow.

      They towed my car, that's fine I was parked somewhere over the time limit. I got to the tow company and waited almost 3 hours for my car to arrive with their tow truck. My car's exterior was dirtier than when it was picked up like they drag it through dirt roads. Worse yet, the brakes are now damaged and it wasn't like that before the tow. They are not answering their phones when I call so it seems like they are screening their calls with a caller ID.

      My car was illegally towed from ************************** I was illegally charged a storage fee even though I paid to have my car dropped from the truck before it arrived on the storage lot, and I was required to pay in cash in violation of Hawaii State Law.

      A vehicle I picked up from this tow yard after paying 1400 dollars. I documented the rear bumper had been removed and was not on my vehicle, I call many times and they have hung up on me and blocked my calls. I called the police and they said I have to *** them.

      Predatory towing on Oahu by VIP towing. Location ****** Center, ****** ** Sign present was small print and incredibly easy to miss. Obviously we were watched from time of parking to walking across street to food truck because car was gone within 20 minutes. Expensive to retrieve car. Fees for daily storage even though we were able to get to Sand Island before our car did. Cash only. I believe this is illegal. Unsafe environment for pick up. Could not confirm car was even with their trucks. Thank goodness I was not alone. I would have called police to stay with me if I had not had my husband. This business needs to be reported and investigated formally. I would guess a class action lawsuit would be possible since there are likely thousands of folks preyed upon. In just the 2 hours we waited to get out of there there were at least 15 other people in our same situation. Just awful, horribly evil.

      Beggining Date : 02/04/2024 - *******s requested by dealership to take car to service center to service flat tire.- Company did not go to ******* center , instead took vehicle to thwir lot and no update was given regarding location of vehicle. Instead falsified and informed that it was dropped to service center.- ******* center called ************************ informed them they do not have vehicle.- Family members helped in search of vehicle, where vehicle was found after 32 hours in ***********s lot.- *********** would not release vehicle or take it back to ******* center without fees being paid.- Fees were paid, *********** stated with cop present that our vehicle would be at service center within 2 hours.- 4 hours passed, unable to get in contact with *********** , would get hung up on and put on hold.- Cop goes down to retrieve vehicle to ******* Center - *********** does not want to unhook car at dealership, states no key is available.- *********** kept possession of vehicle, home and employment keys for the next 24 hours and expected payment before drop off of keys - Missed 4 days of work = income loss - Missed 4 days of school = children to make up and catch up on work and missed studies

      Saturday 11/11/23 VIP Towing wrongfully towed my truck. The truck had the required information to park in the spot, and they towed it anyway. I went to their office to talk to them about getting it back. They asked for my info, took both my license and registration, and then told me to sign a paper that says I agree to releasing them from any liability regarding the tow, and that I will pay them. I explained I did not want to sign that due to the situation and respectfully explained my situation. The lady behind the window became extremely rude and disrespectful and then told me "you can either pay, or your truck can stay here, if you're not gonna pay get the f*** away from my window." I naturally got rather angry that she talked to me this way when I was nearly trying to explain my situation and was not giving any attitude. I then told her "well I'm sorry I don't want to pay for a wrongful tow" and she then told the guy to "shut the window on that dumb bitch" they then slammed the window on me while still holding my license and registration. So I knocked again and said "fine then I'll pay, you're lucky I don't call the police" I counted out and gave them $200, they took the money and slammed the window again without saying anything. I waited for a few minutes and then assumed I was good to leave. I got in my truck to leave and they blocked me in asking for a receipt, I explained they didn't give me one and then the lady inside came out and said "you only gave me $175, thats why I told you to wait dumbass" I know for a fact I gave them the proper amount because I counted it before I gave it to them. They stole my money, and then forced me to give them even more. They were nothing but disrespectful, arrogant, attitude filled scammers who are arguably criminals. On top of all this they charged me for a days storage fee in a truck that had been in their lot for at most 20min. These people should not be allowed to continue operating and need to learn how to treat people

      I am filing a complaint against VIP Towing/Tires for illegal towing and financial transaction. Hawaii law states that a car may only be towed from a public space if requested by police. Hawaii law also states that if you are present and can verify it is your car, they MUST drop your vehicle if it is attached to the tow truck. Further, Hawaii law states, if you were told you had to pay in cash to retrieve your vehicle on any date after October 1, 2020, you can file a complaint with the ****** of ******** Protection.1.) My car was not ordered to be towed by anyone. 2.) I was present at the time, have pictures of the tow driver and truck, AND could verify it was vehicle AND the car had not been hooked up yet! 3.) I was forced to pay $200 cash to get my vehicle even after telling them I could use a credit card. The price came down to $200 only after I told them I'd be reporting them to multiple agencies. My receipt says $238, which is an overcharge per mileage and state fee maximums. They tried to charge me $25 for 1 day of storage and it was there for approximately one hour.At 11:02 am on 11/12/23 I came out with my son to find my car had been moved sideways and a tow truck was getting ready to back up and take it. He refused to stop backing up his truck in an effort to hook it and told me I could get my things out of the car and that I could come get my car at "Sand Island." He refused to let me show proof it was my vehicle. My car was stolen right before my eyes leaving my son and I standing there without transportation. I filed a police report I filed a complaint with DCCA Hawaii I called VIP towing and was told, "you can go ahead and file a police report. It's your word against his. You will still have to pay" and was then hung up on. There are MANY other complaints of ILLEGAL towing made against this company and I would like to know why they are in business still.

      Illegally towing cars out for our complex Coronados, ******************* our landlord said specifically vip towing is no longer allowed to tow cars off this property because forfeit of contracts. So they changed their tow truck company name to vip jams and think their allow to still operate with no contract. Today 6-18-2023 they tried to tow out of here again illegal.
