      I called Transamerica. My dad had a 20 pay life policy on me that I had paid off from the days it was Commonwealth Insurance. I had called about my daughter's policy and inquired about mine that was paid off. The lady told me that policy doesn't exist. I don't recommend these ppl at all. My husband was always leary about my daughter and myself having insurance through them. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

      My dad 95 been waiting for his money for 6 months they never gave it to us to us don't ever buy insurance from these a*******

      If I could give this less than one star I would. They're quick to take your money but refuse to pay disability. Just another bunch of crooks taking advantage of people. Hours of phone calls and constant claims that they don't have information.

      Believe every negative review you see on this company. Hours on phone calls that always start with we can't find your policy or we can't read the forms you faxed (we didn't fax them we mailed them certified mail and yes we do have the receipt) or we will expedite the processing. They are experts at dragging, which is a well know trick to not pay and hope you will go away. I have been working for 5 months to get a cash payout of $1600.00 on an old cash life insurance policy. My wife and I are both in our 70's and could really use the money. Last contact was a month ago and payment was promised but we don't really expect to hear anything. We filed a complaint with our state insurance commission so we will see how that works. By the way Michael in customer service is an extra rude individual who you should avoid. A few years back my mom died with a small policy from Mutual of Omaha. The check arrived 3 days later. That's the way you do it.

      The worst company to do business with. I wish I could add something to all the other comments. No one at the company wanted to clarify anything about my pay out for surrendering my policy after 20 years. I spent two months trying for someone to tell me what was happening until I resorted to government offices to help me. Avoid this company and save yourself a big headache down the road.

      This company doesn't even deserve a star. ...... It is the WORST. We have been trying to get a payout since my mother passed in April. Every phone call we make they have another excuse. They claim they mailed paperwork out etc.. if you buy this insurance you will be leaving your family a headache from dealing with them. I would not recommend to anyone!!

      I wish that I could give this company 0 stars. the absolute worst customer service. They make you wait 1 hour to talk to anyone, then transfer you around to "the appropriate department" and you wait another hour to talk to someone. Never ending cycle to get you nowhere. Looking at all of the reviews, looks like they shouldn't even be in business.

      No stars for this business! **************** has no compassion and takes hours to get back to you. The misunderstand what you need and transfer you to other departments without really listening. They charge huge fees for paying your policy by phone but yet don't send a return envelope when sending your bill. I tried to cash in my policy and they said I had no cash value when it was clearly stated I did.
