My RV had 30+ problems with it within 30 days. The authorized repairs center would only fix 1 - 3 items at a time and they often had to fix the same items multiple times. The propane, fridge, generator, sink, back locks and floor were all faulty and barely ever worked more than a couple days if repaired. The repair center would take weeks to schedule. I asked the repair center multiple times are you sure you can only fix a couple things at a time? they said there are too many clients in need of repairs. I would have spent the entire couple years of the warranty trying to take it back and forth to get all the 30+ repairs completed prior to the warranty expiring. The floor turned black from black mold due to a leak. They replaced the entire floor. They noted they saw water down there but did not identify the leak and then just put new floor in. The floor started turning black again within a couple months. They said that they only fix something like that once. But they didnt actually fix anything. They clearly stated they did not find the leak then proceeded to put new floors on and then I was stuck with black mold again within a couple months and Winnebago would not cover repairs again. It was the worst customer service expeirience I have ever had and the ** has had everything in it break at least one. It is a complete lemon and they would not do anything about it.

The Winnebago limited warranty on this unit expired 4/04/18 and we have had no correspondence from this customer in over five years. If there were outstanding warrantable issues, we should have been contacted long before now.

Purchased a new Winnebago Motorhome 4 months ago. Multiple warranty problems. Unable to use the motorhome. Authorized service network unable to schedule repairs for weeks. I have spoken to Winnebago customer care but nothing happens. The last tech that looked at the motorhome said the undercarriage is very rusted as if it was left in standing water for an extended period of time. From what is posted on the various RV websites, my experiences are not unusual. This Winnebago has significant quality problems. Customers eventually give up and life with the issues because you can not get Winnebago to back up their products.

I am rejecting this response because: Winnebago advised me to make an appointment at the factory in **************** so they can resolve the problems.  They offered to pay 1/2 the gas.  Or about $400.  I am nearly 80 and not really able to drive 1600 miles each way in the winter to ****************.  Having it transported to the factory will cost $2300 each way.  So $4600 expense to have Winnebago completed the required warranty work.  Any they offered $400 in gas.  Not acceptable.

I am writing to formally address the issues I have experienced with my 2022 Winnebago Revel. During my recent trip from ******* to *******, the sliding door window blew out, forcing me to stop multiple times to reattach it with duct tape just to reach my destination. This incident occurred shortly after I was contacted by Winnebago about a galley fire that had occurred in my van a month prior. The fire was caused by a power wire rubbing against a plumbing bracket. Upon inspection, I discovered that Winnebago used residential yellow hard wiring for all 120-volt connections instead of the marine-grade flexible wiring that most RV manufacturers use. Research revealed that this issue has led to multiple fires in other Revel vans as well.I requested that the sliding door window be replaced and asked Winnebago to send the updated window brackets used in the 2025 models, which address this issue. I was told that there was no difference between the 2022 and 2025 models. However, further communication revealed that Winnebago did make changes, replacing the blinds with plastic, screws, Velcro, and nylon materials to address the problem.Winnebago offered to ship me a replacement 2022 window but not the 2025 version, claiming it was out of stock. This contradicted their earlier statement that there were no differences between the two models. I emphasized the urgency of the matter, requesting that the replacement be shipped immediately so I could have it professionally installed and safely return home for Thanksgiving. Their response was dismissive, suggesting that I drive ***** miles home with cardboard or plastic covering the window and schedule an appointment with a Winnebago dealer. This solution is unacceptable. If the factory window couldnt withstand the trip, how would cardboard or plastic? I requested they overnight the replacement window so I could install it have had no response ans still stuck in ******* and missed all holidays with my family.

Winnebago industries shipped us two pieces of foam and the package and contents were damaged when it arrived at our home on 8/9/24. We refused the shipment. Winnebago has refused to file a claim with the shipper, ***************, on our behalf to return our $268.38 shipping fee. Since they are the point of origin they must either file the claim or give us a letter called a shipping waiver so that we can file the claim. Several months ago, I went up to the roof of my new Winnebago motorhome, and in the process of cleaning off the roof of accumulated dirt, I either found a crack or created one by walking on the roof, which is rated to be walked on by someone much heavier than me. After many contacts with the dealership, *********************** in ***** And Winnebago, the claim has been denied. Winnebago claims the damage must be impact related and there is zero evidence of that. Both the body shop that the RV dealer sent me to and the service technicians at ********* agree that this could not have been caused by an impact. I feel the fact that the Winnebago people are making this decision based on a photograph, and not on the input of their trusted dealership personnel is inappropriate.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/23/2024

The analysis we are going off of is from Crane Composites, the manufacturer of the *** roof skin. They indicated the crack appears to be some type of impact or stress crack. The only way to definitively determine would be to cut out a section of the roof and underlying substrate for analysis. At this time, it does not appear the crack is due to a quality issue with the *** roof skin or with the installation, therefore our denial of the claim stands.

I am rejecting this response because:

crane has only see photos vs the dealer has seen the actual damage.  How would a stress crack appear if NOT an impact and NOT manufacturing defect of some type?  At minimum the company (winnebago) owes me and the dealer a conversation.  It is a baloney practice to first refer the dealer to the roof manufacturer and then when they say it is either an impact (not based on an inspection) or a stress crackwhich they cant explain why or how that could occur, then what does that leave?  Your response is doublespeak.  Please call me and the service manager to discuss the situation further.

There were two recalls on our Revel that we did not receive. Awning came out without warning and we had to get it repaired plus repair wiring to lithium batteries. We feel we should be reimbursed for the costs to repair these recalls. See out letter to Winnebago. We have not received an answer.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/23/2024

Our position remains that we are only able to do a partial reimbursement as correct policy was not followed in regard to having the recalls performed by an authorized Winnebago dealer.

Bottom lIne we bought an Winnebago Travato 59KL serial ************, VIN ***************** through General RV, ********* PA. The Electrical system was not operating properly on the the day we went to pick it up. (9 July, 2024) We were then told it was repaired and returned on 15 July and picked up the vehicle. Upon trying to camp the entire electrical system shut down and we received the same error code that General RV Received when we were originally scheduled to pick it up. In early August, because, General RV, Volta (Electrical system Mnf.) and Winnebago could not repair this in a reasonable amount of time, we requested warranty extension from the original 3 years to 8 years. We felt this was reasonable since there appears to be no infrastructure available to repair this system in a timely or cost effective manner. (System is proprietary) To date, **************************************************************************************** the mean time they have turned our unit into a testbed placing wear and tear on it and it continues to depreciate while we have no use of the unit. It should be noted that this unit is totally inoperable and unsafe due to this defect. While Winnebago did open a case (case # ********). Our requests to customer service to have this request elevated are being ignored and they are unwilling to provide names or contact information to higher levels within the corporation. I've also asked what they consider a reasonable period of time to repair the unit and they refuse to provide an answer. We very much wanted to resolve this is a positive and amicable manner but they seem unwilling to work with us, and fail to respond to emails addressed to customer service.Attached is the original correspondence to Winnebago customer service.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/23/2024

Winnebago is working with Volta and General RV to bring this issue to a resolution. Earlier this week ***** determined a replacement pack is needed and is sending one to General RV. Winnebago is not able to extend the warranty on the Volta system, that would need to be reviewed by *****.

      Customer Answer

      Complaint: 22146660

I am rejecting this response because: As the overall integrator and installer of the Volta system, Winnebago should work with Volta and anyone else necessary to extend the warranty.  Again, because of this defect and the subsequent troubleshooting, the entire Van has endured significant devaluation as well as wear and tear.   At a minimum, Winnebago should extend the warranty for the entire Volta system to eight years.  As a reminder, this condition existed prior to the Van being turned over to us. It is very concerning that we are now over six weeks without the system being repaired and this is while under warranty with General RV, Volta, and Winnebago all working to correct it. I cannot imagine the time and expense that we would endure if this was not under warranty.   All of the advertisements for Winnebagos with the Volta system speak of "dependable and/ or reliable power. ( See attachment)  If the system is truly reliable, the actual cost to Volta and Winnebago should be minimal, while providing my wife and me the peace of mind that comes with knowing that if this happens again we will not be on our own.

      Sincerely,

      *************************

      Business Response

      Date: 08/29/2024

Our position remains that we will assist with warrantable repairs, per the terms of our warranty. Any extension of a warranty on the Volta system would need to come from Volta.

To whom this may concern,I am writing this memo to advise my dissatisfaction of the non expedience of my travel camper repair. My wife and I had a camping trip on June 10 thru June 12 *****. We had a unforntunate experience of the black water and gray water tank sensors were not operating properly. I called my service center (Open Roads RV Jasper **** They advised to bring it to them because they are authorized dealer to warranty service of our camper. Prior to our exit from the camp our gray water almost over flowed. That is when I discovered the sensors were not working. My wife had to release the water from the tank twice including the Black water tank. I noticed water streaming from under the camper near the passenger side wheel.I did explain all the repairs to the service Mgr. at **********. I was given two claim numbers for the camper one for the shower and one for the wiring. They are CLM ******* and CLM *******. I had spoke to ****** at ********* and she assured me the process has been approved for repair, this was 6/21/24.On 7/3/24 0933 hrs. spoke with ***** she stated it will be several weeks for the shower to come in being that was the problem. On 7/11/24 0822hrs spoke again with *****. ***** advised the shower will be in ****** Ga by the 15th of July.On 7/16/24 1800 hrs **** at ********* stated it was shipped 2 weeks ago.I took the liberty to call Open Roads they said it was damaged in transit and another one will be delivered.I spoke with ****** with this new information and expressed my dissatisfaction (two months ). I am currently paying for this new camper plus paying for storage for my camper at another location due to HOA rules on campers. Can someone at ********* contact me to extend the warranty past the year it expires.I cannot use my camper to enjoy it. Please advise me of your relief that we may have.As of this date we have not had our camper repaired and are missing out on the camping experience.

We purchased a Winnebago ***** in 2021. Due to a health trauma in our family were were never able to use it for the initial 18 months it was in our possession. When my wife recovered enough to begin the use the product we began having trouble with it leaking water from the fresh water tank, just a little at first and then more over time. Our original dealer had gone out of business so we went to the Winnebago website and searched for ************** Centers. There were 33 listed within 100 miles of of our home. Each of the service departments told us that they could not do our repair because they only do factory warranty service and out vehicle was out of the 12 month original warranty. We offered to pay cash for the services but we were told they had no way to accept payment because they only accepted warranty repair work. We contacted Winnebago **************** and they suggested we seek help from a 3rd party repair company. We drove to some 3rd ** repair services places but were turned away because they said the plumbing system was all some proprietary Winnebago setup and only Winnebago should work on it. We finally found a 3rd party repair service who accepted the job and found a filter leaking that was not accessible without removing furniture panels. He told us the filter had to have been either cracked when it was installed or cracked during installation because it was made of material far stronger than the plastic hoses the system is built on. He had the ** for 2 months before he said he was not able to figure out the valve system to track down the last element that leaks when the system if charged. He said that frankly he couldn't believe Winnebago had not offered us any help and that due to the amount of water that had leaked into the lower part of the ** it was likely the whole system is rotting or rusting away. This is an ** with less than ****** miles on it. Winnebago continues emailing us to "go the the original dealer" who is out of business.

The Winnebago limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 12 months or ****** miles, whichever occurs first. The limited warranty on this unit expired 3/02/22 therefore we would not be in a position to cover the repairs.

I am rejecting this response because:

Winnebago has a link on their website that says "Service Locations". I've gone to all the listed "service locations" in my region and been refused service. The listed locations say they only accept factory warranty work. This is absurd- if I go to a **** listed service center anywhere in the **** I will be able to pay for my **** to be inspected and worked on. I bought a new Winnebago after verifying there was service available to me and then find out that with a catastrophic plumbing problem Winnebago refuses to assist me in finding a Winnebago service location that will service my vehicle. Winnebago's online list of service locations is a fraud. I will attempt to sort this out through the BBB but if I continue to be abandoned by Winnebago I will be forced to take further action.

      Sincerely,

Each Winnebago dealer is an independent merchant responsible for their own sales and service policies. We do not have record of specific dealers turning down the consumer for service. We can assist the consumer with locating a service center, but this will still be a retail repair due to the age of the coach.

We purchased a Winnebago View in ******* ***** in December 2020. In 2022 we moved to ***********. We have received numerous recalls and we have been refused service at all the authorized service centers in our area. The awning popping opening in transit and the possibility of explosion due to badly installed propane tank is a major safety concern that puts a our lives at risk!! The 3 authorized service centers within a 2 hour drive of me, given to me by the main Winnebago service center in **** have all refused to do the recall services. They give 2 reasons: we didnt buy it there and Winnebago doesnt pay enough: Camping World in ********, **, ************************, *******************, and Campers ***************** Raynham MA. We even asked if they would fix it, charge us and then we would seek reimbursement from Winnebago but they said they were not allowed. We need a solution!!! Our lives are at risk!!!
