Purchased a Winnebago Travado from Camping World ************* **. I authorized dealer of Winnebago. My RV was delivered to me with a known awning recall ***** Safety Recall 22V-696 for unintentional awning deployment while vehicle is in motion. I have been waiting for Camping World of ******** to bring in the parts to mitigate the issue to no avail. On March 13 while driving my awning deployed and struck a pole. The awning is unserviceable and must be replaced. If the recall was followed as written in the ***** Safety Recall 22V-696 this would not have happened. This could have caused a major vehicle accident and injured others. I have contacted both Winnebago and Camping World and the issue is not being resolved.Business Response

I bought a new Winnebago 30RLSS from LaMesa RV, last vin #'s *****. Right after buying it, we had to take it to LaMesa RV in *******, where it was there for over 3 months. We took it out last year and had tire bow outs that damaged the bottom panels on both sides, the wheel cover trim, the center tire hub, and the under carriage webbing for the all weather protection.Living in ****************, I tried to get the parts replaced with local dealers or repair facilities, and after months was told they were unsuccessful in acquiring the parts to fix it. I contact *********************** at LaMesa RV in Phoenix, which is 3.5 hours away and briefed him and requested to get the parts so I could get this repaired. Our messages both direct to Winnebago first went unanswered and then finally responded with part numbers in Jan 2023, but when they tried to get pricing and availability, again no response. I called 2/6 to the customer service of the towable division, which I had contacted multiple times, and was assured they would contact ***** at LaMesa RV. Today I heard back from him that he had no call backs or messages left from them.It seems all attempts to reach parts, customer service, etc., are in vain as they do not attempt to resolve parts problems or products they have sold.Business Response

I am rejecting this response. They advised they would have an answer back by the end of today. Since they are on the East Coast, they are already closed and still no further word from them on the parts pricing, or availability, or the repair time by their dealer, LaMesa RV in *******.This should have been a quick and easy response to advise the part numbers, pricing, and availability, yet another day has passed and no response. This seems to be their typical lack of customer service.

I purchased a Winnebago Voyage 3235RL travel trailer on August 12, 2020. I had always heard that Winnebago stood for quality. In August of 2022 I was horrified to discover that the refrigerator slideout floor was rotten. A ****** search indicated that the refrigerator drainline was the only water source. I opened the hatch behind the refrigerator to see 18 inches of drainline coiled up on the bottom. The drainline was also routed uphill. The Dometic refrigerator owner's manual specifically states that the refrigerator drainline is NOT to be routed uphill. This sloppy drainline installation was obviously a defect from the factory. Because I used the ** only twice a year and because it was a slow leak, it took well over a year to rot the floor. The slideout rollers also had to expose the rotten wood through the heavy plastic exterior layer. I appealed my situation through the Winnebago headquarters. I was shocked and dumbfounded when they denied my legitimate claim of a factory defect. The Winnebago engineer ruled that the drainline simply need to exit the exterior vent. Quite obviously the engineer was totally unfamiliar with the refrigerator owner's manual and was totally ignorant of ***************************** Law of Gravity. Water cannot flow uphill. The drain water from my ** refrigerator was forced into the slideout floor because it was physically impossible to do otherwise because of the sloppy factory installation.Business Response
Date: 01/30/2023
The warranty claim was denied based on the hose length is pre-installed by our supplier and as long as the drain hose remains outside of the exterior vent the water will escape the unit. At this time, the claim has been reopened with the dealership to provided further information based on their claim.Customer Answer

At the time we bought the unit we had some concerns with slide noise. They assured us it was functioning properly. After only 2 trips it malfunctioned. We are not surprised, as once we arrived home with the new trailer we discovered loose screws and plate on floor inside the unit. We notified ExploreUSA, **** advised that was normal coming from Winnebago. After having it at the lot waiting on parts for repair they advised a $250 fee to winterize while still waiting on parts. This was a huge inconvenience so we picked it up and brought it back home. Still waiting on parts. I would advise anyone purchasing a new unit, to bring independent inspector to inspect unit prior to purchase or removing from lot!Business Response
Date: 01/06/2023
Winnebago will be reaching out directly to the customer to assist them with their concerns; at this time there has been no communication between Winnebago and the customer. The dealership received authorization to replace the slide system in November, parts were delivered in December for repairs to be completed. Our slide out supplier had released a technical service bulletin as they had a manufacturing concern and released their plan of action on repair.Initial Complaint

Bought a 2021 Voyage model v2427rb on 11/05/2022, 12/16/2021 I emailed customer care with the first of our many problems, loose and missing trim, radio screws not attached to the cabinet and stripped, HDMI not connected, shower leaking water, bottom of shower door wasn't sealed. (I fixed) Bathroom Barn door warped. Cabinet screws broken and missing. shards coming out of the cooling vents. 01/24/2022 emailed CC with pics of front stickers peeling off. dropped off at ******************* of fife the first of march. Dealer had it for almost 1 month waiting for authorization from Winnebago. Picked up the trailer so we could camp. Found out that trip the freshwater tank gauge wasn't working, and the bedroom screen door was about 1 inch from latching. On our June trip the fridge was not cooling, lost food and cut our trip short. Next trip in July drove 50 minutes and fridge was 47 degrees. Lost more food. Found out that Winnebago did not install the double door fridge in the slide out to dometic specs. No baffle to direct air, fans are off center and weak. Took the trailer back to ******************* 08/03/2022. It took Winnebago almost 2 months to ship the stickers and door to *******************. as of 09/07/2022, It has been there for 6 weeks waiting for Winnebago to authorize cutting the underbelly to fix the freshwater gauge and have been waiting to see about replacing the fridge and doing the venting correctly. I have been a rv owner for 30 + years and this is most expensive lemon I have ever bought. I have emailed CC all pictures and documents related to this. I would prefer to have this repurchased. This is all on Winnebago and not *******************.Business Response
Date: 09/12/2022
Good Morning,
Winnebago received the request for the underbelly to be pulled back to complete the fresh water tank gauge repair on 9/7 and this was approved 1 day later on 9/8. Please see attached documentation. At this time there are no outstanding warranty requests or part requests through Winnebago. From what I can see in the system, Winnebago has worked through the complaints filed with us as quickly as possible with the lead times for part replacements provided to us from our suppliers. Winnebago will continue to work with ******************* to ensure that all repairs are completed in a timely manner. At this time, Winnebago Towables will not be purchasing ************************ trailer back.

I am rejecting this response because; Winnebago did not address all of the issues in my complaint. Interesting how they only replied to the complaint that shows them in a favorable light; authorizing the tank sensor work to be completed.
They need to respond regarding the poor quality of workmanship i.e., shower door not sealed, water leaking onto floor (I fixed). Bedroom screen door not latching closed. Missing and stripped screws, along with missing and uninstalled molding. Improper venting on the double door refrigerator in the slide out, resulting in improper airflow causing overheating of unit when filled with food. I had ******************* file a claim on this. As of today, 09/14/2022, ******************* cannot find a reason for the tank sensors not working and has reached out to Winnebago for help. We have lost all of August, and half of September and are unable to schedule any winter reservations because we have no idea when we will have a useable trailer.
Thank You.
Sincerely,
*******************************Business Response

Winnebago's records show we have authorized the concerns that have been sent to us by the dealership. If there are more concerns then what has been submitted to us for coverage, the dealership will need to submit those for us to review. I understand that you are not happy with the quality of the workmanship in your trailer, and Winnebago does stand behind our product. We are willing and able to get those concerns addressed but they need to be submitted through the Dealer Warranty Processes.Customer Answer

Complaint: 17932936
I am rejecting this response because: According to the claim number CLM0124084, Winnebago states that the begin repair date was 09/07/2022 and the repair complete date was 09/07/2022. This is absolutely FALSE. As of today 10/02/2022,the repairs have NOT been completed. It is still in the shop waiting for Winnebago to figure out what to do. Every part of the tank sensor system has been replaced and the sensors still dont work. Dealer has made several attempts to contact Winnebago with no response.
A Winnebago RV leaves the factory with major defects and poor-quality construction, then the Dealer is left making all the repairs and dealing with the unhappy customer. Where is the quality control?
If Winnebago had better quality control before their RVs left the factory, we would not be in this situation today.
Sincerely,

In the first year of use the *** Microwave, Batteries have had to be replaced. The floor is also being replaced. The **** 7.3l V8 has failed twice do to bad coil and wire assembly. Have less than **** miles. This last week we had to be towed over 230 miles because not every **** dealer will work on the motorhome. Because of the long tow we now have over $9000 damage to the front end of the motor home. Most of problems will be fixed under warranty. Because of the breakdowns we had to spend $374 for motel room and another $135 for unattended stay in an rv park.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The damage to the front of the motorhome is being repaired by the tow truck company. No one has contacted us from the dealer to take care of the floor. This has being going on for over a year. The dealer says Winnebago has rejected the repair and Winnebago says they are trying to contact the dealer. We are stuck with a bad floor with no help in sight. Can Winnebago suggest a different place to have the floor fixed?

In july of this year (2022) we purchased a new 2022 winnebago Hike from ********** in ****** *********. We picked it up several days later after they supposedly inspected it and checked it over and drove it home. Once we got home, we got a ladder and climbed up to look at the solar panel on the roof to see what size it was. This rv model doesnt have a built in ladder as its a curved roof thats classified as a no walk roof. We knew this when we bought it (although i should note the salesman at ******** seemed to not know this). What we found once we climbed the ladder and peeked at the roof was a huge dip in the roof right where the solar panel sat! Its such a sag that most of the panel and its wiring are submerged underwater in a giant puddle whenever it rains and sit in that puddle for a week until it dries out only to be re submerged at the next rain. We immediately called ******* and sent pics, they insisted we bring it back so they could look at. We took off work and drove it back, and **** in service said it looked like a structural issue and assured us it would be taken care of. He said they just had to send their own pictures to winnebago to get approval and be told how to repair it. We were already upset at a brand new unit needing structural work, but as it was the last Hike model on the lot we didnt seem to have a choice. A week later i called as i hadnt heard from anyone and was told that winnebago had denied the claim and as such their hands were tied and they couldnt fix it and i should basically go away and fight with winnebago myself! So i called winnebago.i have spent hours on hold, i finally got to talk to someone who said they would review it and get back to me. I emailed pics, i called some more. I finally was told by a lady from winnebago that she sees alot of wavy roofs these days, and they wouldnt fix it unless it leaked even though there is obviously structural issues and solar output is awful since its underwater alot!Business Response
Date: 08/29/2022
Customer's dealership did submit a request for coverage for concern. Originally this was denied, as the roof is a loose hung fiberglass, and mild dipping is normal. This was reviewed again on 8/15/22 and the approval was given to the dealership to correct the concern. Winnebago Towables will continue to work with ******* Trailer Sales to assist them with the concerns that **************** has submitted and requested be covered under the warranty.Customer Answer
Date: 08/29/2022
Complaint: 17769501
I am rejecting this response because:i was called by winnebago towables on 8/25 at 4:05 pm and told by someone named ******** that they still insisted that the giant dip in the roof was not an issue, even though the solar panel was sitting underwater, but they would in good faith have the dealer modify the roof to eliminate the giant dip, but the modification area would then no longer be covered under their 3 year structural warranty! As such i was told any leaks or further structural issues in that area from the dealership fixing it would be my responsibility! I told her this was not acceptable! You cant fix a brand new unit (and in all likleyhood fix it poorly if the dealerships behavior so far is any indication) and then when the repair leaks or fails, claim its the customers responsiblity! I asked for a copy of this so called repair deal in writing for my records and i was promised a copy would be emailed to me the next day, but as of yet i have not seen a thing in writing from them. Obviously, this is a terrible deal they are trying to **** off on me to just make me go away.i would be a fool to accept such a horrible offer. I would also like to note that i have received pictures from other hike owners on ******** and their roofs are completely flat, so this giant dip in ours is not normal as winnebago claims.
Sincerely,

I purchased a brand-new Winnebago Model Forza 34T from Winnebagos dealer, ************************ on August 7th, 2021. Since day one, the unit has been problematic, troublesome, unusable for much of the time I have owned it, and very costly to me in try*** to get it fully operational and functional. I retired from school teach*** ************ computer Graphics) in January of 2021 and was excited to do a lot of RV-*** all over this great country of ours. The follow*** is not what I expected at all and definitely not what I signed up for.I am not new to camp*** or motorhomes. I have previously owned a new pop-up camper, new Class-C ********** and now this new Class-A Winnebago. I understand there are typically go*** to be a few bugs to work out in any type of new vehicle like this. In this case, however, the amount of problems and issues I have experienced, as well as the repetitive nature of these problems, is far over and above anyth*** i ever would have imagined. Failures that are electrical, mechanical, electronic and failures that have been repaired multiple times but still are not fixed require that I take this action. I cannot continue on with this RV any longer. There has not been one day that I have owned it that someth*** was not wrong with it. It has been in the repair shop for approximately half the time I have owned it. I have attached a cumulative punch list for your review in order to help me with this situation. Please let me know what else I can provide and I will gladly do so.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Winnebago's response is disappointing, to say the least. After documenting a laundry list of issues, some major and many repetitive, they respond with "we will continue to support the customer through their dealers." The response in itself is unacceptable as it does not address any of my issues or long-term concerns. And it definitely does not address my request to return or exchange this model for one that is fully functional and has been thoroughly vetted.
