I bought a small house. Bought the coverage as houses and stuff inside is expensive. On Thanksgiving fridge went out. I borrowed a friend's fridge so that we (family of seven) didn't lose all of our food. We don't have a lot of money or space, and tried to make the best of a bad situation. Well in order to fit the fridge in so we didn't lose all of our food, we moved the broken one outside. It was covered under a gazebo and tarp so it did not see the elements. Home Warranty, Inc refuses to cover it cause "it was moved outside the home". Well, I don't have space for 2 fridges. Their response was, "well, you could have called a tech to your home"... I live in rural Wyoming, I would like to meet the tech that is going to come to my house on thanksgiving to look at a fridge. I don't think he or she exists. When I told the agent over the phone this, he just said I violated the contract and they will not honor the claim. So my options were let all my family's food go to rot or move a fridge.... I just didn't think that this company would do anything to get out of a claim...The only reason they are getting one star is they responded quickly. Other than that this company is the epitome of greedy insurance companies. I feel like i got scammed. guess i will use the 500 dollars that was going to be to renew the warranty as a down payment on a new fridge, thanks for nothing Home Warranty of the Midwest, IncHome Warranty of the Midwest, Inc

We certainly regret that you were less than satisfied. We do show you did not file the claim until 8/19/24 when your response indicates that refrigerator was moved outside on 11/23/23 and according to you, was still outside when you requested service 9 months later. This would definitely interfere with the ability to get a correct diagnosis and to pinpoint the original issue.Review fromAllie M

I had this Home warranty for 2 yrs and it has work out good. Our A/C units have broke a few times and always getsome reembursement. I also likethat we get to pick contractor in our area because I can get the issue fix in a timely manner.Home Warranty of the Midwest, Inc

Home Warranty of the Midwest Inc Was great handling my claim and you cant beat their price and service for a good peace of mind and they even suggested a A/C Company in my area which I used them and they were great and fast service ordered a Compressor for my Central Air Unit had it in 2 days and installed it within a hours timeHome Warranty of the Midwest, Inc
