2 starsQuick summary of Matrix if you dont want to read the full review:Project Summary: Remodeled basement in ********* (approximately ***** square Feet, 1 bedroom (with egress window), 1 full bath, 1 office (no window), and common space)Project Timeline:*Contract signed Feb 2024 *Onsite visit completed in March 2024 *Plans finalized end April ***** supplies arrived May 2024 *No communication for almost a month from Matrix, followed up with Matrix end of June on status of start date. Rude reply by office staff telling me they are waiting on permits still. After this reply permits were approved within one week.*Everything moved quickly to start, 80-90% of project was completed by mid-August ******** issues were noted and took approximately 1 month to get people back and fix mistakes the first time. *Took another month to get them back to fix damaged floors (Matrix damaged).*Project completed end of October (from signature of contract to project completion was 9 months).Overall Service Summary:1) High pressure car salesman tactics, great help at designing but salesman had limited knowledge around building requirements.2) Priced on the higher end of quotes but were not the highest.3) Knowledgeable staff once work is awarded, plans will for sure require adjustment based on salesman tactics.4) High quality materials used, some install aspects are suspect for durability 5) Quick once started, slow to finish 6) Poor communication. Non existent project manager once Matrix mistakes started 7) 90-95% of work is subcontracted, Matrix is essentially a project management company My suggestion to anyone looking into the Wisconsin matrix office is to continue to shop around. For the price you can find better. The absolutely horrible communication starting in the middle of the project is just unacceptable, along with the mistakes that were made and the amount of time it took to fix them. You will end up with a decent product (worth maybe 2/3s what they charge).Review fromRachael L

Excellent experience, very satisfied.They turned an empty basement into a warm living area.We love the black painted ceilings.The greatest aspect was that everything happened on time and things just got done. Workers showed up on time, were polite and cleaned up after themselves. No significant delays.After working with another company on my parents house, the project went 3 months over and required significant micro managing to get things done. Matrix's project manager **** ****** took care of everything, checked in on progress frequently and gave us significant peace of mind.Highly recommend them.Matrix Basement Finishing

He provided all the information about the process of finishing a basement. Overall I am very impressed by the knowledge, agility and professionalism that ***** demonstrated.
