I called to close our long standing with this company on May 22nd due to unfair extra charges and lack of effective customer service. We agreed to pay the bogus charges just to cut ties with this company. After much run around, I spoke with an account specialist who told me that he would terminate our account with an effective date of 6/1/24 and removal of their equipment from our site NO LATER THAN 6/10/24. Now, I am having issues getting them to remove their equipment from our site and since we have already started service with a new company, we need the old equipment moved as we are limited on space. I have attached a screenshot of the an email from the account care specialist telling me that he would terminate our account as of 6/1 and equipment would be picked up by 6/10. I called this morning, as no one has showed up, and am being told that we have to wait until 6/24 for the removal. Almost one month after my original call to terminate. I think this company owes us better customer care than this. We have been treated very unprofessionally and just want their equipment out of our offices. This is the very reason they are losing long term customers as ourselves.Business Response

The company refuses to stop contacting me via email. I've discontinued service with them years ago and inspite of emailing them to stop contacting me and unsubscribing, they continue to contact me.Business Response

On January 15th 2024 I had a invoice for a bulk shred for the amount of ******** which we paid by check and was deposited, after the check was shown cashed, I was debited ******** on February 5th , this was never authorized to be debited from our account , since February 7th , I have several emails with the company and was given a reference # ******** , I have spent over 8 hours and over 20 emails communicating back and forth with this company ,they state my refund is being processed, but to no avail. Every time I call a manager is in a meeting and they tell you they will call you before the end of day , I have heard this over 10 times , no one calls back. On May 16th I finally get a hold of a manager and they sent me a email stating it has been escalated, and here we are 05-29-2024 and no refund , I called again today waiting over 45 minutes , and was told was going to get a call at the end of the day since the managers are in a meetingBusiness Response

I used to handle the ** for ******* Wireless at ************************************************************************************. I left the company in December, 2018. Every month I get a call from Shredit about past due billing. I inform the employee calling every month that I no longer work for ******* and to remove my phone number of ************ and stop calling me. This has been ongoing since 2018. I have even on several occasions reached out to my ******* contacts in the past and informed them. Today 5/23/24 @ 10:30 AM I am once again receiving a call. I advise them every time as I did today to stop calling me I no longer work there. Today was the last draw for me and I informed them I am in front of my computer filing a BBB complaint as I have informed them several times I would do if they did not stop calling. Every month this goes on. Every month they tell me they are removing my number and every month I receive the same call again. I want no more contact from this company and I want my phone number removed from their business files. The number ************ is my personal cell phone number and they continue to call me in regards to debt that is owed by my previous employer ******* Wireless not me directly. I am requesting you advise them to cease and desist all contact with me at this number. ******* Wireless has multiple phone numbers they can obtain from the internet & call to reach ******* directly. These calls to me directly need to stop. I am not associated with ******* Wireless in any way and have not been since December, 2018 which I inform Shredit of every month that they call me. We signed up for a one time service to have secure bins for one week. We were quoted a price that we agreed to and signed a document. When we received the invoice it was double the quoted price. We have been back and forth with customer service and the sales rep and we still do not have a resolution. We also still have the bins which were supposed to be picked up 4 days ago. They want to charge us a $295 delivery fee which was not on our quote. We would have never agreed to this. I have attached the quote that we signed and the invoice that they want to charge. We have attempted to cancel our service numerous times with no results. I have emailed and talked on the phone with no less than 5 separate individuals who have promised to have the ongoing billing and service issue handled. Even after receiving multiple emails confirming our cancellation, we continue to be placed on a weekly billing cycle. This has been going on since January 2024.Business Response

Service date was 3/15/2024 for medical records to be shredded. Invoice was paid by check from ******************* for $771.46 and was deposited by Stericycle My CC that was in file to just hold the service date was charged the $771.46 on 4/1/2024 after they had deposited the check. A complaint was filed 4/2/2024 reference #******** and a refund to my card was requested. ******************* *********************************** Customer #********** Since then I have called and emailed over 8-10 times and continue to get the run around in the past 5 weeks. Let me have someone give you a call. Nobody calls It takes ***** business daysIts been 26 business days **************** is never available ****************** cant be reached, etc. It has been five weeks. They have been over paid by $771.46. It should not be that hard to refund the extra charge.Business Response

We have had monthly shredding and medical waste disposal services with Shredit who was later bought out by Stericycle since 2017. We have faithfully paid each month and carry a zero balance. On April I called **************, spoke to a representative (J) and requested a pick up of 6 boxes on the same date as our regular service ( April 19th). I received a confirmation number. On April 19th at 8am the driver picked up our regular service and did not pick up the 6 boxes. He later told his dispatch that his truck was full. At 8am in the morning, a full truck? Not truthful. I called Stericycle, there was a language barrier between the representative and myself where he could not understand me or what I was trying to explain. After an hour on the phone he told me he could have to look into things and I was given a confirmation number.I was instructed to schedule a pick up myself online using the portal. Which I did. I scheduled another pick up of the 6 boxes for April 29th. On April 22 and April 24 Stericycle Customer ******************** emailed me confirming the April 29th pick up of 6 boxes. The April 29th pick up obviously did not occur. On April 30th I called again and the representative (J) stated my pick up was changed to May 3rd. I asked why no one notified me, instead customer relations emailed me confirming April 29th was set. I was given yet another confirmation number, told she couldn't get through to the local branch.Business Response

In 2022, we entered into a contract with Shred-It (Stericycle) for shredding services. The contract was for 12 months and afterwards would continue on a month-to-month basis. It is now 2024 and we contacted them to cancel our services as they are no longer needed. They somehow have managed to come up with saying we have 7 pickups remaining on our account and the contract ends in 2025. We have a copy of the original contract we signed and see nowhere on it anything about an agreement into 2025 (other than month-to-month after the first 12 months). They claim we owe an early termination fee for terminating prior to 2025. We see that either party can cancel with a 30-day written notice. The pickups are scheduled to occur every 8 weeks. We are just puzzled with this and they refuse to explain and show where we signed any agreement outside our original contract signed in 2022, for 12 months and then month-to-month. If you need a copy of the original contract and any emails, please let us know.We are just looking to end the month-to-month contract we signed back in 2022 or have them show us in writing where they see our signature (original or digital) where we agreed to any long-term contract other than the original, signed in 2022. For the record we have not signed one. **** sent some auto renew document, but we never signed nor agreed to anything outside of our original contract and going month-to-month.I started looking on-line and see there are many other complaints regarding this practice by them. As a customer, small business owner, and licensed business just can't understand how they can get away with this activity. Holding customers hostage.
