Material outisde of the shredding box was removed. $250-300 in MHFA books and materials that were in plastic containers in the same area. They have sat there for the past year untouched. The two men who picked up the shredding took all of that plus the Personal Health Information from the actual Shredit box out in unsecured bags. This aspect was witnessed by staff onsite at the time. Staff were not aware they took the other books and materials out of the other boxes. Shredit staff have not filed the bill for ****** Hopefully they are not using the *** for their own benefit.Business Response

We are disputing several invoices that we have received from Shred It Services (A Stericycle Solution Company). We have since cancelled our services with Shred-It. However, no one is calling me back and their customer services team which is in a different country does not understand what the true problem is based on a communication barrier. The customer service team refuses to connect me with the ******, ********* office or any of the offices in *****************. Our ********* Account Manager, ********************************* is not returning my phone calls or emails to discuss the invoices in question. We want a resolution to these disputed items. I have since then paid everything that was correctly billed to the *************************. We want a credit issued in the amount of $275.00 to zero out our account #**********.Business Response

I am filing this complaint after multiple attempts to resolve an outstanding invoice. I contacted Shred-It/Stericycle to purge some totes I had in my garage for about (15) months. I was attempting to get another tote and for them to pick up the ones that were already full. I was told that they didn't provide the same service. I informed them that I only needed service on call. The agent I spoke with informed me that it was possible and had me sign a contract. I was very adamant that I only needed it on call. Within less than thirty days I came home and saw another tote in front of my garage. I called them and told them I didn't need that and to please take me out of their route. The following month I received a text that they would be dropping another tote off. I once again told them I didn't need it and I would call once I needed it. After their numerous attempts to drop off totes, I started receiving their bills. I called and inquired and spoke with customer service. After making several attempts to resolve the issue I was put in touch with ******************* - ************ Specialist - ************. At that time, I found out I was in a (5) five-year contract. After a lengthy discussion, she canceled the contract and informed me I would receive a credit for the remaining balance. She gave me reference # ******** and stated it would take (2) two to (3) three billing cycles. I have given this reference number to collections and customer service by phone and email ****************************************** 03/26/2024, ****************************************** 03-11-2024 ) on numerous occasions. Their departments do not coordinate with each other and have become a nuisance by telephone and email. I have requested that they pick up their tote which is still in my garage. Yesterday 04-08-2024 I received another call from collections and I have had enough of this. They allowed someone not authorized to enter into a legal contract without our permission. This company has picked up an empty bin for over 5 years! At the end of our contract they entered us into another contract as an auto renewal. I called trying to resolve this issue and ********************* and *********************** thought this was a complete joke. ***** was very rude and hung up on me! I also received a call from ***** who told me it was signed by an authorized user, and I asked how he knew, he told me because the person signing "said they were authorized". This is the most insane thing I have ever heard! This business will let any and everyone enter into a contract for you without any proof that you are legally able to sign into a contract for the business. They also autorenewal without any further notice to scam people into another term, hoping they forget! This is terrible business practice and I have never in my life with dealt with associates as rude and disrespectful as ********************* and ***********************! They were rude, called me a liar, laughed, and condescending. If these are your employees I understand why the rating for business is a 1!!! I originally just wanted out of the contract, but I also want all money paid since the auto renewal refunded. Its a shame scamming is the only way this business can get business, bless your soul!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: This company has made no communication with me after my calls trying to resolve this. I explained I wanted out of the contract that an unauthorized individual signed, without being required to provide documentation that they were legally able to sign for our business! They then auto renewed this fraudulent contract. I want this contract canceled without fees and seek reimbursement for the months they continued to pick up and empty bin! This business is fraudulent and unethical. They are unprofessional and said derogatory, ***** comments and hung up on me and my associate.

This is our second time complaining about the same business. They are sending us bills for another corporation. That company name is: *********************************, *************************************************************************. But the invoice has our phone number on it. This is not our business, we have nothing to do with this other business but they repeatedly send us there statements and threats for Collection. We resolved this through BBB last year and now we are getting statements again. I have had this service since September of 2023. It took 3 months to my correct bin delivered to **. Every billing there has been an issue with being charged incorrectly. When i got the larger bin they didnt want to pick up the old small bin until i begged the delivery deliver to take it. Even after signing several new contracts they stated that i still had the small bin and a new larger one. I literally have to call every month about something wrong with my account. When i told them i was wanting to cancel they stated i need to pay 50% of my contract for this service that has been horrible since day one.Business Response

I was quoted for an offsite shred of 40 banker boxes for $400 by *********************************** on Feb 22. I took notes of the phone call. The contract he sent was vague and quoted $9.90 a box. they removed 41 boxes, that total is $405.90. Stericycle charged $803 to my card. I was initially informed that the $300 minimum represented a charge if the estimate is not met. It did not represent an additional charge. It is even titled "minimum" on their contract, not labeled base charge. Their contract did not have a total, despite the fact that I provided them the exact number of boxes. They also charged additional fees, not quoted on their contract. As BBB well knows by the history of shredit/stericyle, they have a lengthy history of fraudulent charges and disputes. I have paid $500 on my credit card to stericycle and disputed $300. I would advise the company not pursue this matter further and accept their more than agreed upon payment. On 1-10-24, I contacted Shred-it to have them come as a one-time purge to pick up items that I needed to be shredded. I was put in contact with ******************* as the new ******** 1/17/24, ******************* sent an email to docu-sign a contract. They asked to provide payment information before providing services. This was a mistake. I realized that I NEVER should have paid for the services beforehand. I have attached the contract. I was verbally advised that a driver will be reaching out on 1/24/24 to pick up my items. I had requested to be called one hour prior to the driver's arrival. I was also advised he should be calling around 10:30am on 1/24/24. I specifically requested that time frame because I had other appointments that same day. I was prepared to meet the driver the morning of 1/24/24. He actually did not call until later in the business day. I waited all day & did not receive a call until 3:23pm that day. There was no voicemail left for me. I called back the missed calls at 4:03pm & left a voicemail. I did not receive any response or callback to my voicemail. I called on 1/25/24 & left a msg for ****** to return my call. I called their corporate office on 1/29/24 & was advised that someone would call me back. They never called. I called **** again on 1/30/24 & left a voicemail. I repeatedly called their corporate office to no avail. I called **** again on 2/15/24 & left a voicemail. I called on 2/27/24 & spoke with a representative named 'December'. She advised she would look into it & call me back. I called again on 3/1/2024 to 'December', ************* to no avail. The credit card was charged $388.51 on 2/19/2024 for services that were NEVER received. They NEVER tried to rectify the situation but quickly took the money. They would not offer a refund. I filed a complaint directly with the company & received a response that the company was unable to issue a credit refund. They indicated that a minimum charge was applicable for the day.Business Response
