Date of incident 1-4-24 Jan 4th was my last donation. Due to a rude and unprofessional staff member Im not allowed to donate anymore even though I the donor only complained about her unprofessional behavior towards me and other donors. When I called location manager treated me the same way over the phone. I was calling because I lost my card and never received my payment that last donation. I spoke with bank its been over 15 days no replacement and ** still unable to donate on top of getting cheated out of my last two donations.Update 2-1-24 When I followed up for complaint via contact us it routed it back to same location only to receive this from store manger:Hello,I have reviewed your payment history and as you confirmed and stated, you were paid on January 4th 2024 for the amount of $120 (see below). Unfortunately, you are correct, because of your behavior and conduct towards my staff you have been permanently deferred and will not be eligible for the remainder of the promotion. Any further issues regarding your debit card and balances needs to be addressed with *************** You may contact them at ************. Going forward, Biolife has severed all business with you and cannot offer any further assistance for you.I called the bank they said I have to follow up with the location which as you can see above clearly doesnt want to help me or fix this situation Im owed $120 my card was misplaced that day during donation and getting nowhere with this situation.Initial Complaint

My ************* Identification unbeknownst to me had expired a few weeks back, which was brought to my attention by a BioLife personal at a first time appointment on (1/31/2024) at 7am. I then remedy the situation by going to the **** and getting a temporary Identification and returned back to the **************** center, with the temporary Identification and a social security card and two letters from the social security department. I was turned away again because they claimed a Temporary Identification wasn't valid? I contacted the *** again and they couldn't understand why it wasn't being accepted by the **************** center. It doesn't specify in the website that a temporary Identification isn't valid, which is given as a temporary Identification to be utilized until the standard card can be issued. As a client I am afforded the right to appeal or grieve a policy that can be unfair or made without notice eg, website. I am hopeful that you look into this issue as I exhaust my remedies Thank youInitial Complaint

BioLife, ******* **. December 22nd 2023 I had an appointment to donate plasma in return for money. I read all FAQ and "How to prepare for your donation". At the health screening I answered yes to having PTSD. Not aware this will trigger a response for the medical staff to then solicit my doctor's information. Then then wanted me to sign a release for my ENTIRE MEDICAL HISTORY. They would not accept a letter from my doctor stating I am medically clear to donate, they want my whole complete record, including all mental health. No one on-line or in-office could answer as to why BioLife needs my entire record and not just medical clearance? What impact does donating plasma have on PTSD? What are they doing with all the full medical records of people just willing to sign it over? In addition my husband was able to donate, BioLife was unclear about it's donation amount to be received. We expected 8 payments of approximately $100 each. Because he did not donate all 8x within 30 days (even counting when the center is closed) he no longer qualified for the amount stated.Initial Complaint

This Plasma *************** has it set up where you can donate twice per week as long as it's not on back-to-back days. After a finger ***** blood screening upon each visit, patients are paid $40 for the 1st donation of the week and anywhere from $70 to $100 on the second visit.I have been going there for most of the last year and a half. I have passed the screening process every time I come in for a $40 donation. However, I would estimate that about a dozen times in the last year, I've failed the screening process for what they claim is low protein levels on the $70-$100 donation. The clinic provides a card with tips on how to get protein levels up for upcoming donations and I follow these tips and even go above and beyond the recommendations of protein intake, and yet I'm consistently failing the screening process due to low protein levels on the 'big money' donation days(including each of the last 2 weeks) and never once on the $40 days. This seems like way too much of a coincidence to me and I've spoken with other customers/patients at the facility and they're encountering the same thing. Many believe there's a conspiracy occurring where the clinic calibrates the testing equipment to ******** protein levels later in the week so they can get more plasma donations "on the cheap" and minimize how often they have to pay more.Initial Complaint

On 12/21/2023, I went down to this place to donate plasma and get paid for it. Everything went OK, but when I went down again on 1/11 to donate again I was given paperwork that said that there was something irregular in my blood proteins and that, until I saw my doctor and got clarification, I could not donate again. I was told by the nurse-who consulted with me and provided the information and printed it out for me-that she would FAX it to my doctor for him to go over. Well, it was never sent, the doctor's ****** tried twice that same day and at least once the next to have it sent. Fortunately I provided the doctor's ***** with the paperwork that had been printed out for me so they have that now, but all efforts by me to contact the lab have been met with leaving a voice mail message and no call back from them. Considering that the nurse said this could be a possible indication of cancer, the drive back home (about an hour) was quite depressing. One of the big questions I have is this: if they knew back just after I donated these results, why was I not contacted IMMEDIATELY with this possible life-threatening information so I could pass it on to my doctor and see if I need to see about treatment to keep from-oh, I don't know-POSSIBLY DYING??? I find it hard to believe that it took another random visit almost three weeks later to find out these results and wonder what could have happened if I hadn't decided to go back for another donation. The money is OK and not a horrible process but this is so unprofessional for any medical worker and not sending the info to my doctor when they got his contact information, not returning calls and being just plain callous is beyond the pale for me. Having lost a sister to cancer the thought is now in my mind if I have it or not.Initial Complaint

Half of the facility has been closed down, causing longer lines standing for 2 hours, then once in a bed waiting another half hour to be hooked up. Employees always on break and chatting too much with other employees. Every bed use to be occupied, now they are stacked up in the corner and we are having to wait in long lines. Why? They constantly say they are not short staffed. Unacceptable, this community really relies on this facility. Please help us get better services. Thank you kindly ??Initial Complaint

I had originally ranted and raved about Bio-Life Plasma and their purpose as well as their staff. However, yesterday I left after doing my questions skipping my scheduled donation. Staff unfortunately disrespected my pregnant wife that came in to get a car key from me, and telling her she couldnt help me with the on screen questions which she wasnt and only I know the answers to anyway about my body. Then Im sitting there disgruntled about whether to leave, or not and I observe staff "clowning" on another donor named ***** for not knowing his social and ridiculing him. Simultaneously, they were filling empty chairs instead of servicing donors that were complete laying their for several minutes with needles in their arms (one named *******) whom were all jst trying to leave after collection. Collectively, with all occurrences and brazon rudeness, discouraged and shocked at staff behavior and such I left the establishment. Avoid ******/******* and ************************* is what I'm telling donor friends. When it starts with disrescting your pregnant wife and then within same ****************************************************************************************************** not. I guess since we desperate for $40 and broke, we are labeled subpar and treated accordingly.RegardsInitial Complaint

On 12/17 I completed my first donation at BioLife. On 12/22 I went back for my second donation and was unable to donate due to an elevated pulse. Since my first donation, I have been unable to donate due to elevated pulses on dates 12/26, 12/27, 12/29, 12/31, however on 12/27 when I went my pulse was 98. I spoke with nurse ***** (tall, grey hair, glasses) before having my vitals taken because I had dental fillings about 3 hours before going to donate and wanted to make sure that I was able to donate. She assured me that it was fine and since I wasnt donating whole blood, and just plasma I could donate. I was thrilled. I went to the floor after FINALLY having a pulse rate within normal limits. After I got to the floor and situated in a bed the phlebotomist told me she was sure I wouldnt be able to donate after being told I could and grabbed another nurse. Ultimately, they sent me home and said it was a one day deferal due to me having dental fillings. I am very upset because I spent all that time waiting and was told I could donate and then was sent home. I have been trying to get my 8 donations in within the new donor bonus timeline (deadline of 01/16). I went back today (12/31) and spoke with ***** again about my elevated pulse. I told her what had happened on 12/27 and she told me that she was very sorry and that I should have been able to donate and said what the other nurse said about me being ineligible to donate that day was inaccurate. I feel as though I should be compensated for my time and efforts that day. That donation would have been $110 for my second donation as a new donor.
