September 29th went to donate. Was verbally abused by Beca when I needed to use the restroom and raised my hand. I had to use restroom badly and was told to put my hand down cause she is doing something. Complained to manager after started peeing my pants and ran to restroom. Mgr rolled eyes and said sorry ill talk to her...he said in sarcastic tone. I told him never mind and don't talk to her.. and I didn't do a thing but raise hand to use restroom. Next thing I know I'm deferred from donating plasma and can not get a manager to get back to me or answer 5 different emails. I want off the deferral list. I did not yell scream snap clap cuss ..I raised my hand to go to restroom after waiting as long as I could and I'm verbally assaulted by BECA. I was going to donate at biolife and the manager told me I needed to come back the next day because I came in a day too early. So I came back the next day, the day I was TOLD to come by the MANAGEMENT staff. So I was following orders. Come to find out the manager gave me wrong information and that day was also too early and I got permanently banned from biolife. So I can't donate there anymore... I'm trying to see if I can get off that list. I would like to donate and it's not even all my fault that I got deferred. I would understand if it's 100% my fault but it was the management fault for giving me misinformation.Initial Complaint

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Treatment at BioLife Plasma Services To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding my treatment at BioLife Plasma Services in *********************, **, located at *************************************************, on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at approximately 8:30 AM. As a dedicated donor who has been with BioLife for several years, I travel 20 miles to donate, and I have never experienced such poor treatment.During my visit, I was deferred for the day after coughing three times while my vitals were being checked. I answered all health-related questions honestly and accurately, indicating that I felt well and healthy. While I was waiting to speak with a manager, I noticed multiple individuals around me who were also coughing and sneezing, yet they were not deferred.According to multiple medical sources, a cough without accompanying symptoms may not indicate an illness and can result from factors such as clearing ones throat, habitual behavior, or air quality issues. I was surprised that the nurse did not conduct any additional assessments and was rude and dismissive in her manner when informing me of my deferral.I believe this situation warrants attention and would appreciate it if you could address this matter with the staff involved, particularly the nurse who deferred me. I value the donation process and hope to continue my contributions without further incidents.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I have been donating for 6 to 7 months with no problem I got a flu vaccine and a hormone shot and I let BioLife know about it and ******. One of the nurses at BioLife said she was going to get my medical record for just that only and ended up getting all of my medical records which invaded my privacy and seen that I had previously taking other pills and deferred me. I havent been on any of those pills in a year and to defer me was uncalled for I have been in between jobs right now and I have been going there to make a little bit extra money to help pay the billsInitial Complaint

I came in for my donation appt on 9/21/24. I passed all prescreening requirements which included pricking my finger and punching a hole in my arm vein. I got my bed and when the machine started after two minutes it made some weird noise. The staff member who unhooked me told me he had to because the machine was not safe and that I was not properly hooked up by the previous tech. He said that I would still get paid. It was my second donation of the week set to pay $***** I got patched up and wet home. It is now four days later and no payment has still been received. The manager at Biolife, ******, says that his hands are tied and he cannot help me. He will not give me the information for his regional manager and he wont give me the number to the corporate office so essentially they don't care. They keep trying to tell me that they don't have to help me resolve the case but this means I cannot trust them and that they are taking advantage of peoples time. There are several reviews about payment discrepancies from this company and this should be resolved. ****** told me to call the numbers on the back of the card, but none of them connect me to a live person and I called them in front of him in one of his exam offices. He said that he would get back with but he has not. SO I am stuck with no payment even though it was not my fault and did everything I was supposed to do. I am concerned that not only myself but other patrons are being taken advantage of and I would like to receive my $95 which has not shown up on my card. Now at this point, I can no longer donate and have lost this small stream of income that makes a big difference. We are just a number there.Initial Complaint

I donate plasma and weigh 213 pounds. The problem I have is I am donating more than a 115 pound person and we receive the same compensation. I am there longer and give more buy we receive the same. This is not right. It's like working 2 hours longer and bot getting paid for time. Take the same amount from everyone if your going to pay the same amount. Ty.Initial Complaint

9/22/2024 I had a 2:45 appt to donate and after my vitals were taken the tech said to me we are short staffed right now and we want to get outta here we close at 3 if your name isnt called by 3:30 you wont be able to donate today. I said Im sorry that you are short staffed but Im on time you took my vitals and Im waiting to donate now I arrived at 2:30 at 3:35 Im next to donate so they call my name first and several others after to say you wont be able to donate today becuz we are short handed so Im like this is my $100 donation so if you cant allow me to donate then its not my fault that you are short handed you can either allow me to donate or pay me my donation *** they told me I will not be paid this was my final day to receive my $100 they are closed on Mondays and I cant donate on other days however they called the cops on me because I was not excepting theyre short staff I said what has happened in the past Ive been donating for quite some time and they usually stay until everyone is done so I didnt get my money and I wasnt able to donate and the manager had absolutely no empathy for me not being serviced so Im trying to find out if I can get my money after I waited and was kicked out becuz they want to go home on time please help me.Initial Complaint

I went to BioLife today, and when it was time for me to be seen by a nurse, the nurse that I have been seen by had previously made racial comments towards me and my family and multiple threats of using our information for her own personal use the police were involved and they told her to leave us alone and she continued to make threats towards us. Thats why she lost her job at the other site upon today when I seen that was the nurse that was going to be asked the staff did they have any other nurse I could see at location in ******** Texas The lady responded yes but then went and talked to the nurse ****** and told her to complain that I made instead of allowing me to see another nurse. The lady informed me in front of multiple people did not keep my information private that I might need to find another place to go to into Stop trying to get her staff fired my goal is to never cause anyone to lose their job. I just dont want to be seen by someone whos A conflict of interest later on today, I received a voicemail from ****** The manager that I spoke to previously when I donated today, which is 920 2024 stating that she was going to permanently block me from all locations because Im trying to get her nurse fired and she thinks her nurse is a good person which has nothing to do with me nor her. The goal was to never get her Nurse fired, but how can you forcefully make someone be seen by a nurse who has done such horrible and racist things towards you and your family if needed I can bring up the police report on that nurse, but that was not the goals just to make sure I kept my distance from that person now Im permanently blocked for nothing I did not break any rules or regulations but was told that I was blocked because I sent an email about what was going on as well I will be holding all this information for my attorney and the voicemail that is left on my phone from your staffInitial Complaint

During my time with the Bio Life donation center that is located at ******************************************* has have had inexperienced people conducting medical procedures on people donating plasma which have resulted in accidental injuries on people. Recently I went in to donate plasma one of the assistants had to poke me twice for a blood sample because they did not know how to operate a machine properly. Later during the donation process the facility workers were arguing and being aggressive with each other resulting in needle puncturing being not done correctly for other people donating which resulted in blood loss. When it was my turn to donate the worker who was to inject the needle was recently arguing and being aggressive to other workers at the time. When they tried to put the needle in me she was seen frustrated and had missed my vein to insert the needle resulting in sticking my arm again which made me bleed a lot of blood and causing me pain. After the needle was in I was in discomfort as the worker did not seem to care about my status and continued to argue with the other workers and disregard other people. When I completed my donation I was waiting to be disconnected and the same worker was currently working on the machine next to mine and spilled liquids over me while I was waiting to get disconnected. The worker did not seem to care and barely attempted to clean the mess while I was waiting. After I was disconnected they did not seem to care about the situation and continued to act unprofessional. This donation center is hiring people who do not care about their jobs and acting unprofessional in the workplace they need to hire people who take their job seriously. They have inexperienced people who are not being trained properly and are putting other people donating at risk for potential injuries and contamination from liquids that are not being handled correctly.Initial Complaint

**** to the ************, ** location. While doing my intake they asked me if I was allergic to latex. I told her yes, I am and proceeded me through the next steps. I passed the blood work, and took the assessment. Due to me traveling for work I sleep in hotel rooms with that said, I had a bad experience at one hotel that someone must've had latex gloves, band-aid, or a condom on the pillow which made my eye swell. I didn't have a reaction anywhere else. Which means the latex had contact with that pillow. Anyways back to Biolife, no where on there website does it state we don't accept people with latex allergies. To defer someone for this is ridiculous when you haven't had a latex incident in almost 2 years. If it was a recent incident I can understand but it wasn't.
