      Date: 07/07/2023

This is in response to your BBB inquiry.  Afni appreciates the opportunity to respond
to the consumer’s concerns.  On October

      the balance of $1,520.56.
The account is for services until ****** considered the
account delinquent on July 29, 2018.  The
      billing address associated with the account is ****** ********** ********* ********* *********** ** ******  Afni mailed
the initial notice of the account on or about October 15, 2020.  On November 29, 2020, Afni furnished the
credit reporting agencies with notice of the account.  Afni received multiple disputes from the
credit reporting agencies, reviewed all relevant information, and responded
      appropriately.
On July 6, 2023, Afni received this complaint.  In response, Afni ceased communication and
initiated an investigation.   Afni has attached copies of the account

2023, Afni sent a request to the credit reporting agencies to remove the

credit reporting agencies update consumer credit reports.  However, this does not mean that the account
is not due and owing, simply that Afni will no longer furnish the account to
      the credit reporting agencies.  Afni

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me under the conditions that AFNI will keep their word and contact the credit agencies to have the account removed from my credit reports. I do understand that this does not satisfy the payment that needs to be made and am willing to set up a payment arrangement if you all will allow. I would like everything to be in writing for documentation as well.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/26/2023

This is in response to your BBB inquiry.  Afni appreciates the opportunity to respond
to the consumer’s concerns.  On November
17, 2022, ****** forwarded the subject account, ****** account #:  *********, Afni, Inc. account #:  *********-01, with Afni for collections on
      the balance of $2,048.22.
The account is for services established on July 10, 2020,
until ****** considered the account delinquent on August 2, 2020.  The billing address associated with the
      account is **** ***** ****** ******* ******** ** *****, which is the same
address the consumer listed on this complaint.
Afni mailed the initial notice of the account on or about November 22,
      2022.  On January 1, 2023, Afni furnished
the credit reporting agencies with notice of the account.
On June 23, 2023, Afni received this complaint.  This was Afni’s first contact with the
      consumer.  In response, Afni ceased
      communication and initiated an investigation.
Afni has attached copies of the account billing statements to this
response; these are provided as validation of the account.  To address the consumer’s concerns, the
subject account has not been purchased by Afni.
      Afni received the account from ****** and acts as an agent on behalf of ******;
therefore, the consumer would not have a contract with Afni. This complaint is
the first notification Afni received from the consumer regarding a dispute on
this account. A signed contract is not always required to initiate ******
services, as orders for services can be taken over the phone or via the internet,
which are considered verbal and electronic signatures, respectively.  On June 25, 2023, Afni sent a request to the
credit reporting agencies to remove the account from the consumer’s credit
report.  Please be aware that it can take
the credit reporting agencies anywhere from 0 to 60 days to update consumer
credit reports.  Afni has no control over
how quickly the credit reporting agencies update consumer credit reports.  However, this does not mean that the account
is not due and owing, simply that Afni will no longer furnish the account to
      the credit reporting agencies.  Afni
trusts this response has addressed the consumer’s concerns, but if questions
remain, or if they would like to discuss the account, they may contact a

This is in response to your BBB inquiry.  Afni appreciates the opportunity to respond
to the consumer’s concerns.  On September
