I visited the store in ********** in the ************ strip mall. I declined to leave my phone number and was told if I refused to leave my phone number I would receive no refund or be able to exchange the products I purchased. I have since called the corporate office on 4 occasions. I did receive a return phone call from "*****" who left a message that did not include his last name or a telephone contact number. I attempted to call him back and was told he works remotely and the message would be sent to him. I believe this is an illegal sales practice and I know it is highly unethical, bordering on compulsory sales practices. although I will neve shop there again it is imperative that this corporate office address this matter and the employees in this store be made aware of the effect this type of action has on the public. Also, another worker was no better, she chimed in that I would have received a reduced price on my purchase. I re-iterated that I would not leave my phone number. The finally processed the sale and didn't even bother to say thank you for shopping here. I have wrongly thought of this business as being ethical, I now know differently.ULTA Beauty

Went to Ulta beauty to get my seven-year-old daughter a haircut ..the hairstylist was absolutely phenomenal and very caring I could not recommend enough. Upon checking out.. everything went bad. I came to pay for the service, and was told that I need to pay at salon. But ***** told me to pay at front. The cashier said.. go to the back and pay.. I explained that stylist said to pay upfront."Well.. stylist is wrong, now go back and pay. " She said in a condescending tone. I explained to her she didn't have to be rude.. and she rolled her eyes.. and I asked for her name, and she turned her name tag over. The "Manager"then came and refused to give me her name or cashiers name. I said, can I just pay and leave. She said.. just leave. don't pay! I said, well, I need change to give tip to stylist. She gave me change, and told security to follow me to the back. I told security not to walk right next to me... and he was polite and didn't. In fact, he kindly said to me.. the Manger would like you to leave. I said, I want to give tip and I'll leave. And he stopped following me.When I came to give tip to stylist, she asked me what's going on. and as I was explaining to her.. the Manager walked back to the store to the solan to harass me. She said. you need to leave now . I said, I need to get one thing before I go for my wife. The next thing I know, the o Sheriff is there. They called the police! The sheriffs went with me outside, and very kindly and politely said,the Manager would like you to not go into the store, so, if you can please do me that favor, I'd Appreciate it. I said.no problem.. but I'd like that store employee name so i can complain.. he recommended I contact cooperate.then called corporate.. but I do not have a name of the cashier or manager.. so I posted in ****** and Yelp too with pictures of the *********** ********** storeULTA Beauty

my neighbors have a child that works at this Ulta here. I came into say hello, and at the front of the store, two women , who looked like upper management were forcing her to empty her belongings and accusing her of stealing because something wasnt so-called dotted . I want the public and other customers aware of this; if Ulta as a company refuses to stop customers from stealing but bag checks employees, that is incredibly one-sided.I will never shop here again if managers choose to treat there employees this poorly.ULTA Beauty

I wouldnt give this company any stars at all if I could! This company is an absolute DISGRACE! Not only did they give me the hardest possible time about items not received but their OWN EMPLOYEE assisted in a false return with a false return code! Consumers BEWARE!!!! I am a credit card holder with Ulta and make purchases frequently. The last two online purchases Ive made with this company have been a NIGHTMARE! The first time my package was not received however the issue was rectified. The second time, I received my package in a damage and tampered package and upon opening, my items were missing. When I contacted support they gave me the run around for about two weeks. Finally, a rep assisted in what I THOUGHT would be my return after all the stress and contacting support and then after waiting 3-5 business days STILL NO RETURN! This has been a horrifying experience in which I advise all consumers to beware of this company. They have zero concern for their consumers and they assist with fraudulence by providing false return codes! I still have yet to have a my issue rectified. Im owed $228.98!!!ULTA Beauty

I placed online order for pick up at the store. It was a rainy day so I was literally in and out of that place. The store has window for pick up orders but I was told to wait in the line with other store customer. I got my 2 items and quickly left. After I got home I looked in my bag and realized that they sold me TESTER face cream. There was no box just the face cream. It seemed to be full but not evenly distributed inside. I found this experience disgusting. How could I be sure that the product wasnt sitting on the shelf allowing customers stuck fingers inside. I emailed ulta and did the survey. No one never responded! On Wed 8/10 in ********* **, a manager told me they cannot process a return for someone who is not a Loyalty Member. So, I would have to sign-up right then, or I would not be able to complete my return. I had one item, unused; and I had a receipt which was within 30 days. I pointed-out that my original purchase was not made as a Loyalty Member. She just restated that she could not do the return unless I was a Loyalty Member. I said this seems unlawful, and she replied that the return policy is printed on the back of the receipt (which she was holding).Because the situation was becoming publicly embarrassing, I gave-in to her bullying and surrendered my personal information. Later, I read the back of the receipt; and I also read their policy online https://www.ulta.com/guestservices Ultas online Return policy is headlined with Happy returns are our style which I found to be untrue.I loathe interacting with cashiers at Ulta. They go beyond reasonable sales pressure to force customers to join their Rewards Program. I try to politely decline and move-on to my purchase, but they tell me the system will not let them proceed without a phone number. This is really irritating, and I feel like a hostage at the check-out counter. Usually, I feel sorry for the employee because they are most likely being pressured by their manager to get every customer to join. BUT I DONT WANT TO. And you should allow your employees to back-off if I say no. It is not consensual!!ULTA Beauty

ULTA BEAUTY FIRST AND LAST TIME ! I will never shop here again in my life! I am so disappointed and upset. I shopped on May 31, 2022 for $294. After testing my products I decided to return a few that did not work well for my skin. I returned $128 worth of products back to the store on June 28, 2022. I received a receipt with a refund of the amount however NEVER EVER RECEIVED MY REFUND TO MY BANK ACCOUNT. I feel scammed! I am out of the items and my $128. This was my first and last experience with this store. I have contacted my bank but they have no record of a refund. This is so disheartening to me because the employees reassured me the process of return would be easy. BEWARE! I shouldve gotten store credit, at least I would be able to have something in exchange. I know $128 may seem small, but its huge when youre on disability!!!!! Shame on you! Every time I call customer service, they disconnect the phone line on me.ULTA Beauty

I had a hair appointment on July the 16th 2022. I was told to come at 10:00 am. I showed up on time but the girl who was supposed to do my hair was not there and then I was told that I would have to wait until 12:00 noon when she was supposed to be there. The older woman said that she would do my hair if I could wait until she was done with her other customer so I said okay. When she started to do my hair I showed her a picture of the style that I wanted originally she said that she would try her best to do that style as I requested but she continued to pin my hair ** in an updo and I told her 3 times that this is not what I wanted but she just kept on pinning my hair up. She also charged me $77.00 for the updo and I said that I was quoted a price of $ ***** not $77.00 but the person was working so fast to get me out of there that I was practically shoved out of there. I had no recourse but to leave. On Saturday August 6 2022. I spoke with a manager 3 days later to find out about my inquiry into that a manager was supposed to get back with me but didnt, so I contacted Ulta today Saturday August 6 2022 and the manager said that I should have called sooner but it has been only a short time since the incident happened. I will definitely not ever go back to Ulta again. The customer is always right but not in my case. People be warned about this company. I had to take my hair down and redo it which took me longer so I missed the ceremony because of this and it made things worse because I was really stressed out because of this. I should have never had my hair done by Ulta but in future I will go to my hairdresser at JCPenneys because they do a great job.ULTA Beauty

After browsing for a specific product at the ******************* Mall Ulta, I was told they did not have that particular product at the time. It was suggested to me that I order it to be shipped to my house at no charge. A young female associate completed the transaction but did not give me a receipt so I requested one. The associate then informed me that she could not give me a receipt of purchase and that I would receive a conformation email instead because the order was coming from the warehouse. I then proceed to check my email for the confirmation. After ten minutes and still no confirmation email, I asked for the help of the store manager oversaw the whole transaction. She said she could give me a **** number to check on my purchase. I then asked her if she could give me a handwritten receipt and she said she couldn't because she wasn't the person who checked me out, even though she was standing right beside us at the time. I felt uncomfortable leaving the store without any confirmation of my purchase. The fact that this manager was so unwilling to help me was absolutely unacceptable. A receipt is well within my legal rights as a customer. As the manager of the store the least she could was to problem solve with me to try to find a solution. Now *************************************************************************** solving the issue. Because I asked her to be an active participant in solving a problem with a purchase made at her store, this manager grew so upset and impatient at my request that she called mall security because she wanted me to leave the store. The manager of this store displayed strong signs of emotional disregulation, lack of professionalism and work ethic. Most concerning was the fact that she modeled to her employees the lack of understanding of customer needs, unwillingness to work together to solve a simple problem, and disrespectful treatment to the customer. I purchased a $200 + order. It said delivered on the 25th but I didnt receive anything. I reached out to customer service and he told me to give it another 24 hrs because sometimes it says delivered but gets delivered the next day (ridiculous). I reached out today and now this agent said that he had to submit the order for further review and I have to wait ANOTHER 48-72hrs to see what my resolution would be. Thats ridiculous!!!!! I called customer service to see if there was anything else they could do considering the amount of money I spent on the order and she didnt even bother to look up my order number or anything she simply said I had to wait!!!!! Never again will I purchase from ULTA Beauty. They simply do not care to resolve issues promptly. It is NOT my fault the order was not delivered to me.ULTA Beauty
