1 starI wish no star was an option. I booked a family trip for 9 ppl to *********** which was expected to leave ************** airport on 6/27/2023. This has been by far the worst traveling experience. After 3 or 4 departure time changes our flight was canceled, with a tentative stand by connection flight option for 6/30 and zero other options. We were left with no other alternative but to cancel our entire family trip, exhausted kids, and lots of wasted time resources and lots of money. Not to mention that its now 7/6/2023 and I have only received 2 out of the 8 luggages we checked in. I received a delivery of 1 bag at like 1 am from a third party and to top it off the bag was not even mine; I had to go out of my way to take the bag to its rightful owner and they had one of mine, there was lost time and gas. $2,700 airbnb partially refunded and deposit lost, $3000+ flights not yet fully refunded, $250+ in baggage have not seen a ***** back, $100+ for 3 ubers to and from the airport lost, thousands of dollars in traveling cloths and toiletries not used. AND A VERY BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH NOT TO MENTION QUESTIONABLE FUTURE USE OF THIS AIRLINE. YOUR ON SITE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS USELESS! ********************** you have really disappointed me. I expect some restitution.Review fromJonas C

1 starFlew into ****** from ******* on June 28th bag was on a flight 3 hours behind me. Went to united app to file for lost bag and to have the bag delivered. I understand a couple days but it has now been 7 days and everytime i called united customer service it said my bag has left the airport and is out for delivery. If you wanted to talk to a customer service agent at minimum the very minimum was a 1 hour wait i have waited 2 times for over 3 hours to talk to an agent only to be told it will be delivered in 24 to 48 hours. In my dreams maybe. None of my connections were delayed all were on time but somehow my bag was put on a different flight. I drove 2 hours back to ****** today to just try to pick my bag up just to be told there are over ****** bags that have to be delivered and that they are not retrieving any bags you have to wait for delivery. And there was no guarantee on when my bag will be delivered or if it ever will be. I have never flown united before and i will never fly with them again!!!Review fromCourtney T

1 starI booked a flight from *********** to **************. I was supposed to leave 715 AM, 1 hour layover in *******, and in ********* by noon. While getting text messages about when we are supposedly leaving, one of them says that the crew assigned to my flight had worked the maximum number of hours allowed by the **** We find out while waiting that this issue was known from the previous day, and that no new crew was assigned. After being in the airport for several hours, I wait in line to review what my options were, and the attendant told me that the *********** leg of the trip was cancelled because I "failed to show up." I wasn't notified, and it definitely wasn't my fault. I get a new ticket for a flight from ******* to SLC, but there were 7 others going to SLC, so there wasn't a guarantee I would get on the flight; even though the flight was 12 hours from that point. We don't leave until after noon from ***********; when I was supposed to arrive in Salt Lake. In *******, I have to wait 6 hours just to get another text that my flight was delayed. 3 more texts pushing the flight back. I got back so late (after 1am THE NEXT DAY), I had to take off from work and ultimately ended up losing money. Getting in contact is impossible. No less than 4 hours with no option to be called back. I should be compensated for United knowing of issues ahead of time, and not fulfilling their duties as an airline. I wasn't even notified when a leg of my trip was cancelled due to United not getting a flight crew for my first flight out of ***********. The "Traveler's Bill of Rights" dictates that I'm owed a refund.Review fromJohann S

1 starMy return flight on June 28th from *** to *** was delayed multiple times until finally, it was canceled due to technical issues with the airplane.I was unable to get hold of support for over 1.5 hours. The United app, which they force you through to do everything, is terrible. It suggested that I change my connection flight. Still, you cannot do so because it only allows you to change the flights from your current destination to your final destination and not from where you are making a connection. After the flight cancellation, there were only 2 United desk agents in the airport, which led to over an hour of waiting in line late in the evening to get rebooked. Once I got to an agent, I was old. There were no flights back until five days later, and finally, after begging to look for longer, they found a flight back two days later on Friday the 30th of June, which is just crazy and unacceptable. I asked about accommodation and was told I needed to come back each day to get a new voucher since they can only give a voucher for a single day??? I was sent a link to find a hotel, but no hotels were available to select. I personally paid for my hotel, food, and travel back and forth to the airport. I was given the runaround on how to request a refund. Finally, I requested a refund for my flight costs and all personal expenses incurred for my additional stay in *********. I received an email saying to expect a response in 14 to 21 days!!! What a joke.Review fromReid S

1 starMy son and I were part of the recent United cancellations. While I understand that things happen Im here to recoup $3418.27 that the cancellation has cost me. Cost incurred was (2) tickets on Hawaiian Airlines at $2,279.00, Preferred seats that was the ONLY available seats at $111 and $106. Hotel at $620.00 (once again only room available), Uber from the Airport to the Hotel $29.47 and meals. Trying to be reasonable during this difficult time but Im certainly not willing to eat the additional expenses.Review fromSydney B

1 starThey sure did mess us up during the Great ******** flight disaster. They officially postponed our flight at midnight (despite sending the crew home to rest at 9) and then planned our next flight for 6am no way to find a hotel for our travel group. It sucker. Then they delayed the flight again that morning to 9am. I didnt need them to pay for my hotel, but having the opportunity to find a booking wouldve been niceReview fromTennille T

1 starUnited doesn't deserve a star at all!!!On June 22, 2023, my sister and I had a planned trip flying out of *********** to ***********. We booked our flight with United airline leaving at ****. We left our home in ********** at 12:00 a.m. to ensure that we arrived to our flight on time. A text was received at **** while we were en route to *********** airport stating our flight was canceled. We contacted the airline in hopes of finding another flight and was placed on hold for 2 hours and 30 minutes. After an extensive conversation with an agent, he informed us that he received confirmation from his supervisor to place us on an earlier flight with Delta the next morning of which we received an email for. So, we purchased an early check in a ***************** in *********** and prepared for our flight the next morning with Delta that was scheduled to leave at ****, only to discover that this was not accurate. We were actually scheduled to fly with United **** leaving at **** on June 23, 2023. After checking in our luggage and receiving our boarding passes, we arrived at the gate for the very rude agent to tell us that we were not on that flight that we had boarding tickets for, we were on one scheduled the next day. Although we had a boarding pass and our luggage was checked and placed under the plane, no one could give us an explanation of why this occurred nor access to a Supervisor. My sister and I was left stranded in the airport once again. We eventually booked a flight with Fronteir Airline, and we made it to our destination. Due to flight cancellations we were inconvenienced financially, our time and money spent was wasted and we were emotionally drained from your rude and incompetent agents. This resulted in us missing two days of our paid vacation/events and purchasing another airline ticket with another company in order for us to make the remainder of our trip.Review fromTim C

1 starIf they didn't have a plane, or a crew, for the flight they should not have taken money for it. My 2pm flight was delayed, and then delayed again, and again, and again....over a dozen times they updated the departure time until it was for 1:20 am (almost 12 hours), but then decided to cancel the flight. Luckily it was in my state and I could just go home, but the rest of the passengers who lived at the destination were stranded. United did not offer anyone hotel vouchers or anything. There were people waiting to leave on that flight that had been trying to reach their destination for 3 days! United told them to sleep on mats on the floor, and had not offered them any recompense. To top it off they only had one person working the gate to rebook the flight, and there was nobody to talk to at the airport or through their customer service portal on their website. They seem to think that they can treat people however they want and there won't be consequences. They took money for a service they were incapable of providing. Everyone on that flight was either losing money, losing business deals, or losing precious time with loved ones while United just jerked us around.Review fromSusan L

1 starDO NOT BOOK! I booked United Airlines for a ****** trip this past spring, unfortunately my family got covid so we had to cancel. I got an airline credit for next time we book, well next time came around so as we are ready to book the representative told us that there will be a $98 dollar re booking fee per person. Mind you my Airline credit was $104.50 per person. Which means $104.50 - $98 = $6.50 that i can use towards my next flight booking. Am i the only one that is getting robbed? Oh, and my email with my credit voucher no where does it say that there will be a $98 dollar re booking fee. I am so confused and I am literally being robbed by this Airline. Save your selfs and do not book with United.Review fromHeather A

1 starWorst customer service! They canceled my parents' flight for back home and didn't give any other flights. I spent 5 hours on hold on the phone and 2 hours on the app before I drove 1 hour to the airport. I had to wait 1 1/2 hours to talk with someone. He supposedly fixed it. We got a confirmation number but when we went to the airport the next day, NO TICKETS! I have an email of the itinerary. My mom's cancer medication runs out and she has no way home. She is still **** miles from home
