      Because we can't give zero stars.Absolutely the worst airline on the planet. I can count on one (1) finger the number of times I've had a successful flight on United over the past 10 years. I only use them when there is no other option.Over the past month my wife and younger son tried to fly to *********** from ******* **. Full flight but was canceled because they didn't have a pilot available. They had to fly out of ********* to get to LA without losing a full day. Two separate connections. The first two were delayed over an hour making them miss the third flight. 27 hours of travel by the time they got to LA. Yesterday my older son and fianc had a flight from ********* to buffalo. Again- full flight. Delayed over an hour only to be canceled because they lacked a pilot. They could not get another flight out for two days. They missed a wedding dress fitting and several other important family events. This airline should be shut down. We will never fly United again.

      we booked a flight in the middle of the week from corpus to ********* to leave corpus at 4:00 and arrive time 9:00 with a lay over in ******* and my 18 year old daughter first flight was delayed 5 times and she spent the hole night on the floor in the airport. They told them they had no piolet one excuse after another. I do not recommend United for any other flights to any one wanting to arrive on time.

      I had a "red-eye" flight booked for *******. When I arrived an hour before my domestic flight, I could not get help with ****************** that was not working properly. The attendees told me to wait on the side away from where the customer service was checking in bags and people for their flights.The plane had not even arrived or started boarding. By the time they finally had me move up, they had helped two others behind my arrival and I was refused to obtain my ticket and check in my bag stating I needed to be there 2 hours ahead. They forced me to reschedule and come back the next morning for my flight. They treated me horrible stating it was because I chose economy. That is discrimination.

      My brother has been kidnapped by United Airlines (UA). His abduction began Early Sunday (6/25) afternoon at ******************** in *******. UA cancelled his flight offered no vouchers because they attributed the cancellation to weather. He found a hotel, payed for the hotel and meals out of his own pocket and waited. Monday morning, he boarded a UA flight to **********. This plane made it to the east coast and circled the ****************** waiting fo an opportunity to land. Due to either weather or operational logistics their plane never landed. It seems that they were now running low on fuel, and they were diverted to ****** airport in **************. At ****** they were fueled, and then the wait began. They deboarded and reboarded the plane twice at least. But never took off. Then, UA ran into crew issues. Late Monday afternoon they finally had a pilot. But, that pilot was diverted, or vanished. UA was giving periodic updates, but not much hope or information.The passengers were told at the 6:30pm update that they had a crew enroute from ****** that was expected to arrive at 9:30pm. That never happened. Now during this entire day of horror at ******, our son was trying to recover his luggage so that he could perhaps take a train to **, or even rent a car and drive. But UA refused. His flight to ********** was ultimately cancelled at around 12:30am Tues. morning. United could not provide a hotel voucher because all of the vouchered rooms were taken. Still, no luggage. He finally found a hotel room, at his own expense. Had no toiletries, or clean clothes. The hotel had no toiletries. At 4:40am Tues. morning no updates from United, no luggage, and no hope to fly to **********. United's total lack of concern and apocryphal customer service is unbelievable. ********************** also pointed fingers at the lack of air traffic controllers. At this point he is nearing 48 hours traveling via United Airlines from ********************* to ***, **********. And United Airlines couldn't care less!

      Flight delayed several times and told at 11am the plane is ready just waiting on the pilot three hours later, the different gates, and two different rentals, and two separate one way back purchase tickets. It was suppose to be my grand mothers 80th birthday

      Lying about flight delays due to weather but its because the company ordered a travel halt and is impacting delays everywhere. No compensation, no refunds, and no food.

      So we went out by 1:15 am. We stayed till 7 am in a long queue to book for ** another flight. After waiting 6 hours cuz no one is here except two employees, they are telling us we dont have any close flights, the closest one is 2 or 3 days after. We are in urgent condition to go to witness my brothers in law surgery and to spend eid holiday as muslim feast for us. We missed that cuz of united

      I would leave a zero star if I could. Literally the WORST experience ever!!! Technical difficulties, lack of customer servicedelays delays delays. Do NOT fly united!!!!!

      We booked a flight had a confirmation number then everything from the flight disappeared including our flight credits. We went through four customer service agents and everyone gave us a different answer and kept telling us if we wanted our flight credits back there were extra fees involved bc the credits were orgianlly issues from a third party. We knew that wasnt the case bc our credit showed up on our united account and we used them to book a flight on the united website. No one would take the time to listen to what happened. This was the worst customer service experience i have ever had. It was so stressful especially when I was asking only for my $93 flight credit, that was rightfully mine, back when i was booking a flight that almost cost $1,000. It was such an easy fix and i dont understand why customer service was so unwilling to help and make things more difficult.

      6/22/2023 - Absolutely terrible customer service. While using the online platform to change my flight, unbeknownst to me, the second leg was unavailable. After the website displays an error and please try again message, my card was charged twice as if the booking was confirmed. By United's own admission, they do not have accurate information for connecting flights, and I would never have been able to book the flight because it was not processing but an availability error. However, they still allow the charge to go through! After hours on the phone, I still have a hold on my credit card for twice the trip amount and United is unwilling to help me book another flight without additional fees. BEWARE IF BOOKING A CONNECTING FLIGHT. They do not care about your travel experience.
