      Horrible I run a business and presented a large check to be deposited. Was told I could only access $ ******* the balance had to wait 7 days. The check was from a large reputable ( 100 years in business) cooperative. I needed the funds to purchase more supplies for my business.Needless to say went to another bank opened an account and had access to my funds right away.I am done with the *** Bank!

      Worst bank experience of my life. I went online to open a CD account. While I was filling out the info, I decided I wanted to change from 36 months to 13 months. When I completed everything I noticed that for some reason two CD accounts were opened. I called immediately to have the erroneous CD account deleted. I was on the phone for one and a half hours. They wouldn't do it. They said if I closed the account (even thou there was no money in my account yet), they said I would have to pay the early termination fees which were alot of money. Unbelievable. I have no doubt this is illegal! These people are crooks! Stay away!

      I have always paid Bank of the West at least 20 days (and more than the minimum payment) before the due date. They charge late fees even though I have confirmation from my bank AND Bank of the West that the payment was made ahead of the due date. They never admitted that they made a mistake or their fault. They insist I pay the late fee and minimum payment of $81.00. The month prior minimum payment was $28.00. They said any negative impact on my credit report is my problem and that they would not rectify it. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BANK !!!

      I have an R V loan with Bank of the West. They claim that I missed my November payment. I tried to call multible times to inform them of their errror and was transfered to different customer service reps then they would just hang up on me. After half a dozen attempts I mailed them a letter with a copy of my bank statement and. processed check. This was at the end of December and I haven't recieved any response or credit to my account so I mailed them again a month later with the same documents. Still no response to my complaint or credit to my account. It seems they think if they keep ignoring me, I'll just go away and they won't have to fix my payment. I'm done sending them proof but I won't just go away!

      I opened an on line CD account and first verified with a BMO rep that I could transfer monthly interest out of the account. Once opened however, they would NOT allow interest transfers out until the CD matured. Classic bait and switch. I will never bank with *** again. Also their customer service reps are un-knowledgable about their types of accounts.

      I have had this bank for years and now someone made fraudulent charges to my account and they tell me the vendor has proof to the contrary. I do not use the account for purchases and it was for pet clothes and supplies in which I do not have a pet. They now want me to jump thru hoops just to obtain the proof they have so I can see such proof that I know is false. Goodbye *** I will take my six figure accounts to a bank with better customer care.

      OMG what a horrible bank. I'm a Canadian and have been a loyal BMO in Canada for well over 20 years, which is why I chose BMO Harris to do US banking. It has been nothing but disappointing.
      I called to cancel a debit card charge, before it was posted. Gave all the info and was assured that I would be credited within a few business days. Was also given a request number. Well a few days later I noticed that my account was not yet credited so I called... they have no record of the requested cancelation and the charge is now posted. I would now have to file a dispute and my card would be cancelled. I would have to visit a branch to get a new card. My time is valuable. I told them to never mind and that I would eat the $120 charge rather than waste hours of my time to deal with it. I'll be leaving this bank.

      When I as a customer do everything I’m supposed to do and you (BMO Harris Bank) don’t do what you’re suppose to do you shouldn’t punish me, the customer.

      Terrible support. Had issues opening an account online, so called their support number. Was told I should send an email, and just try again later. Haven't received a response to my email in over two months, and no matter how many times I try to apply online, I get the same error "Unable to verify your identity" when it never asked me for any identity information besides my name, address, and social, which alone should be enough to verify me, as it is enough for other banks. I finally received information about alternative application methods after insisting that the online application was not working. It seems support didn't want to have to deal with it and kept trying to dismiss me. At this point I'm glad I'm not banking with them. What a joke of a bank.

      Security is lacking. An employee in their call center allowed an impersonator to transfer over $50,000 out of a CD. Four months later and I still do not have my money back. I would not recommend this bank.
