    Very unsatisfied as I trusted the rate would be at least comparable to my primary electric company rate of ******* kph. **** is charging ******* kph. How can they consciencely do this? I called the customer service line and pushed a bunch of numbers and in the end they told me to email them for disenrollment. They then said leave a message for customer service. I tried but that does not work as it said to leave a message 3 times, as I was trying then hung up on me. I feel they do not have any concerns for their customers as they take their money and make it difficult to disenroll. Just another scam portrayed upon the hard workers of this country.

    Received a spoof phone number call at work from a "local" number. The woman on the other end told me it was in reference to the ***************. I told her we are not shopping for new suppliers, that we are not interested. She was INCREDIBLY rude, told me that is not how it works, and demanded I take a message to give to the owner of the business and that he NEEDS to call her back. Spoke to me like a lesser human. When I told her he would not be calling her back because he is not interested in switching suppliers, she told me if he does not call her back, she is just going to keep calling. Do not sign up, do not accept harassment from this company!

    Eligo Energy deceives senior citizens by telling them they can save 30% off their electric supply rate and 6 months later Eligo Energy is charging double the current default supply rate. My 79 year old mother-in-law started having trouble paying her electric bill so I looked at her bill and was shocked to see her supply rate with Eligo Energy was **** cents when PPL current default rate is ******* cents. Eligo Energy tricked my mother-in-law with a discount rate for 3 months then doubled the rate knowing many senior citizens are easy targets. Eligo Energy may not have done anything illegal but what Eligo Energy does is certainly unethical. please be aware of this company.

    I will attempt to submit this complaint without even awarding a single star. It appears that out of only ********************************************** that an average of ONE STAR is this company's achievements with its customers. I mistakenly made a quick decision to change from an accredited and satisfactory supplier with the chance of saving even more on my electric bill. Needless to say, along with the rest of these victims, I am a victim of an obvious criminal act. Scam is too polite, too lenient a label to place here. I am sure that, in a mile long contract, which was buried and difficult to obtain in the first place (especially if you committed to a deal over the phone) the fine print gave them legal rights to rob people of their hard-earned money. And I am sure that those agreements neutralize any investigations from the authorities. Now let's see what happens if I try to cancel the service. (Yes, it is as I suspected. Unfortunately, I am forced to award at least one star. I really don't believe they deserve it.)

    This company is a scam they kept me on phone trying to sign me on an i hung up on them and somehow they still took over my electric my bills went form $800 amonth to $1750 an they dont put the rate on your bill but i figured it out they were charging me $16.89 per kw . I called them to get off my bill and they said it would take another month. Well my next bill from Aep was only $497 i thought that was great until i received another bill in the mail from Eligo for $1608.40 I will be calling them again on Monday and if they dont do anything about it i will Take this to my Attorney an see what can be done,

    Very misleading company that engages in deceptive practices!! They contacted me to lower my electric KWH rate, and after a few months my bill was 3 times the more expensive than National Grid in ********. When I called to see why this was happening I was told I needed to contact them monthly to get a lower rate. This was not what I was told when I signed up with ELIGO Energy originally, I was told the rate would always be lower than National Grid and I never had to contact ELIGO to keep a low rate. The only time I would need to contact ELIGO was if I wanted to cancel utilizing them. This is not so, and when I called to complain they where dismissive.I informed them I would be filing a complaint with BBB and they asked me to give them 48 hour so they could lower my rate, 60 hour latter no call back from ELIGO Energy. I Total scam company!!

    I would caution anyone not to sign on with Eligo. They offer a 3 year fixed rate, but after the 3 years they put you on a viable rate that is often twice the cost of gas or electric your local utility charges. They said they send a postcard that your 3 year fixed rate is going to expire but we never received it. I asked why they didn't call us, text us, or email us that the fixed rate was goint to expire, but they said that was not required by their company--just a postcard. If you don't receive it, and renew the fixed rate you are automatically put on a variable rate. My husband died in November 2021 right after the fixed rate expired but we didn't know it had expired. My electric bills were double the going rate peaking at $1,500 each month during the winter when heat is needed. So this company, I think, is a scam. They count on innocent customers not renewing the fixed rate so they can collect double the going rate and make money on their unknowing customers. So DON'T SIGN UP WITH ELIGO BECAUSE YOU WILL BE PAYING PERHAPS TWICE AS MUCH FOR GAS OR ELECTRIC AFTER THE FIXED RATE EXPIRES. THIS COMPANY RELIES ON PEOPLE NOT RENEWING THE FIXED RATE. i JUST DISCOVERED THEIR SCAM AND CANCELLED MY CONTRACT WITH THEM. WILL i GET MY MONEY THEY SCAMMED BACK? i WILL TRY BUT i DOUBT IT. They are getting rich on bilking money from people because they are charging them outrageous rates for gas and electric after the fixed rate expires. They make you think they are helping you by providing a lower fixed rated but they depend on people not renewing the fixed rate and then paying exorbitant amouhts for their gas and eledtricity. I call that a dishonest, scamming company who should not be allowed to continue doing this to innocent people.

    Do not do business with this predatory company!!! I wish I could leave minus 5 stars for them. This is not an honest business. They are absolutely crooked! Eligo outbound sales callers, who are total SCAM ARTISTS, give you a competitive rate for electricity. They never tell you that this is an introductory rate that is going to triple in a few months. They get you signed up with this cheap introductory rate over the phone and then, once the contract is up, you dont get a notification. I just received an electricity bill for a whopping $950.00!!! So far my highest bill this winter was $350.00. I really doubt that this is legal. I am working on finding out about that and contemplating legal action. This company is the absolute worst! They are price gougers, liars and cheaters. This company needs to be stopped and closed down for fraud before they can cheat more hard working people out of their hard earned money. How can they be allowed to stay in business with their track record of law suits and cheating people out of money in many states?!

    Eligo Gas is scam preying off the elderly. PLEASE SHUT THEM DOWN. They're very sneaky, unfair and need to be turned into the Attorney General once again, as they were Aug-2019..Truly documented online.. ck it out.. PLEASE tell your elders NOT to answer their calls. Recently we discovered that our elderly ************ bills had added charges on them from Eligo. Mom has DTE natural gas utility in ********. Mom only recalls a ph call from a Caller asking if *** wanted to have savings on her Gas utility bill(ie- cheaper gas bills). Naturally- like we may all respond, she responded by saying, "sure, Who doesn't want a cheaper gas ************* signing any documents, nor giving authorization-just a short. "sure who doesn't want cheaper gas bills". We all noticed her gas bill had more than tripled from past bills, with additional charges from Eligo added onto her DTE bill. Confusing~?- yes, her bills still come from DTE written all over them, with additional charges from Eligo. How misleading and confusing to an elder- when bills look identical. How would any Elder recognize anything different. (hint- read small print). We began to investigate. Ph calls were made to Eligo and DTE- who told us that Eligo made the switch and they need to reverse it. How can this be when *** never signed anything, nor asked for changes. After talking to Eligo, and sharing our deepest concern of their deceiving our Mother and other elders, we asked to have Mom's account switched back to DTE. They said it might take 3-4 months. We demanded to have the switch back happen immediately- we proved our case that Eligo switched Mon's account from DTE within 2-3 weeks, not months. Why does DTE allow this?- good question. Months pass, ***'s account still shows additional Eligo charges on her DTE bill. We call again and again, have sent letters asking for justice in having these additional Eligo charges removed off her account, retro active to date of our asking. We still await due justice

    I have been receiving very high electrical bills and today I received a bill for $630 and I was not even in the country most of the last billing cycle. When I called National Grid to try and find out the issue, they asked if I knew that my supply was being handled by another company which I did not. Turns out these people were charging me almost 20 cents more than the National Grid price and then taxing me 4% on top of it. Turns out they have been price gouging me for YEARS and I just thought something was wrong with my house. I asked how they ended up with my plan as I did not switch to them. They gave me the number for the company and when I called they said they had a welcome letter that they sent me but no other communication. They are removed from my account now but I would guess that they have robbed me of at least 10K over the past several years based on the price difference. I am contemplating taking legal action.
