Oak Street Health is trying to get me to join. But seeing they have had major problems in the past, dont think I trust them. And they seem to target poorer class. And furthermore there are no Caucasian MDs.

Regarding the Oak Street Health ************************************, it seems to me that I do not receive medical care there, only tests that can be charged to my insurance company. Last year, I saw a very friendly nurse practitioner (NP) at the Oak Street *********************** who ordered blood tests and spirometry tests for me, but I never got a call back about the results of these tests. Recently, on September 11, 2024, I made an annual visit and learned that the ** whom I saw last year was no longer there (not a good sign). The new NP that I met was very nice, although she never told me her name. She looked through my records as if searching for tests to order. When I told her that I had blood tests at another clinic in May, she looked through the paperwork that I brought with me and remarked that I hadnt had a ***, so she ordered one for me. She also noted that my blood pressure was high, and she ordered a Zio monitor for me. I complained that I believe that I have an ****************, and she supposedly ordered an ultrasound for me. She also supposedly ordered a bone density test for me. As per my previous experience at that clinic, I never heard the results of my Zio test or the blood test. Although Ive called the office several times, I have never received paperwork for the Dexa scan or the ultrasound. I still have pain from what I think is an ****************, but one month later, the Oak Street office has done nothing about it. Typically, when I go to a reputable medical office, I leave with a printed document that describes the actions taken that day and future actions to be taken. I leave the Oak Street office with nothing. They have no patient portal, like a reputable medical office, where I can check on my test results and leave messages for the staff.

I had the worst experience of my life at this clinic! As a new patient, the guy who first checked me in said that before he began explaining their services, he needed me to sign a few documents. He didn't show me the documents but told me to sign on the pad in front of me when it lit up. I said I wasn't going to sign documents I hadn't read. Irritated, he found the documents and put them in front of me. He then proceeded to tell me that when he was finished with the introduction, I would see a nurse who would weigh me, measure height and give me an A1C test. I stated that I would not let them give me an A1C test in their office because the last time I did that, my insurance company charged me because I didn't go to one of the insurance company's blood centers. He got irritated and said, "would you just let me give you my spiel first." I was shocked because it was so rude. I then said, "okay, I'll just shut up." At this point, I figured I didn't like his approach to this conversation and walked out. I tried to register a complaint with the receptionist, and she ignored me. I then got on this site and read all of the complaints from patients and the fact that the *** had a case against them for fraud and that it had been settled. I felt like I was at a corporate clinic that is only about making money off of seniors. Some of the other reviews also talked about the same issues as me and some of the incompetency they experienced. I feel I dodged a bullet getting out of ******************* in ****************.

Oak Street Health shld be closed. The non stop harassment, phone calls, unscheduled appointments etc are out of control. This has been gng on for me two years. They leave test kits on my doorknob, someone just was at my door. The crux of it all, I AM NOT THEIR PATIENT. I have made countless calls and complaints but it continues. I *** never use them for my healthcare not ever!!

This is one of the ineptest & unprofessional clinics I have ever seen. Now I understand why every time I've gone here there is a whole new staff of workers. I went to urgent care after an insect bite and redness appeared on my arm. After being diagnosed with cellulitis, I was given a tetanus shot and antibiotic. I was also instructed to see my PCP for a follow visit. In trying to schedule an appointment at ************************** Healthcare with Dr. *** my PCP at that time, the earliest appointment was Oct. 16th. After discussing my issue with Jasmine & being placed on hold for over 10 minutes, while she contacted the office, I was given an appointment as a follow up exam on Friday, September 20th @ 4:30 pm. A little later I got a message saying, I couldn't be seen then because I needed to first do my yearly exam, so come in @ 4:00. Since this made little sense to me, I called to confirm instructions. All calls were going to a call center even though I called what was supposed to be a direct line to the ************** location. I spoke with Shai this time and she tried to contact the office to confirm the instructions. Shai tried twice to get someone with no success, and her records now showed there was no available for Dr. ** until Oct. 18th. I was informed I could however see the ** on Monday, September 23rd at 4: pm. Though this was three (3) days later, I took the appointment because of the urgency of my situation. when I arrived at *** Street, I was informed that there was no one there to see me. I was also informed that this is something that goes on often. After speaking with the office manager, ************* & a nurse, *****, it was suggested that I return to urgent care or the emergency room.

My mother is a patient at Oak Street health. Where I have been dealing with a very unprofessional doctor. I have called several times to speak with the doctor about my concerns with my mothers care. And cannot get a response from her. But she will have her medical **** reach out to me instead. I perfer to speak with the doctor. There have been several occasion where my mother has not been picked up or called and informed that her appt has been cancelled. I have been trying for 2 1/2 mths. to get her to put a prescription in for a scooter. And when they did it was filled out wrong twice. Per the pharmacy. Then they tried to tell me that I specified a outdoor scooter! A scooter is a scooter my mom needs it to get around. Indoor outdoor what is the difference. And yes I understand it takes awhile to get it. But the consideration that I am receiving for being my mother's advocate is undeniably unprofessional. This doctor has also perscribed medicine for my mother with out seeing her for her symptoms in over a month. And my mother is the one hurting in the long run. And yes I have voiced my concern to the medical assistant instead of the physican. And not by choice. This Oak Street office needs a coarse in customer care. My value and time and concerns for my mother seem to be taken for granted. Very disappointed your commercials are misleading for geriatric health. Seems you want the money, but not to provide the service to your clients.Cannot get in contact with main office. Always a answering system.

It's not a good place to go if you are sick. I will go back to my old doctor when there is an opening for a new patient. Sorry, I believe the commercial on TV.

Worse care physicians I have ever meet. Doctors are always canceling appointments. I highly dont recommend this place for care. Oak street receptionist said that I couldnt get an appointment until the end of next month. Doctors come and go at this place and its concerning. Sad its so hard to find proper care today from a physician or doctor of any kind but especially Oak Street.
