Pretty bad. When ***** struck wanted me to drive near across ******* for a covid shot. Ignored medical history causing multiple life altering pain and discomfort to say the least. Your own personal care team = too many cooks in the kitchen if you can understand that basic term.I try to like this place and my doctor but it may be the death of me. I am being denied my medical history leaving me unable to make educated decisions about my well being. I could go on but yeah, run away if you can.

My appointment on August 19, 2024 at **********************************************, *******************************************************************************, were quickly diminished when I encountered several homeless people hanging around outside along w/the security guard. I don't remember the receptionist greeting me, asked for my ID, ******** card, my phone number, emergency contact information, I did question her why she needed that information when I had already given an associate this information 1 week ago by phone, no valid answer; minutes later I see a homeless women walk in then another & another walked towards the back? I waited about 7 minutes then was called into a room, was told to read standard disclosures & then my picture would be taken later; she explained her camera wasn't working at the time. I immediately questioned her why a picture & are you also a respite center? She said; picture goes in your chart to make sure it's you & yes a respite center. I said; no I will not let you take my ***************** center is not safe, unsanitary & this is supposed to be a doctor's office. I told her if they would charge ******** if I rescinded my appointment, she said no! I told her "I'm not opposed to homeless people getting cooled off," but I don't feel safe & feel my health would be in jeopardy. Oak Street Health does not have my best interest at heart, my value, my time and my trust. Oak Street Health does not portray what their commercials advertise. Unfortunately too many flaws were noted within 15 minutes of being at *** Street Health facility. I do not recommend. I will stay at ********* where they are professional & value me as a patient.

Have not had good health care, the past year and a half at the Summit Avenue, Greensboro location. Learned that Shanna Stowe who I had been assigned, is nit a doctor, but a Doctor of Nursing Practitioners. I found out it takes 40 months approximately to get this degree, less than a year
She inaccurate referred me to 2 specialists twice. It takes 2 weeks for a referral. Wrong one referred, start over, referr somewhere else. Then a call is made, and wait for appointment. Delay in treatment of problem.
I was diagnosed with lymphodema by doctor at emergency room sent to primary care ' Stowe. She said "You know there's a clinic." Nothing else said for a year and a half, neither by Cone Vein and Vascular that she sent me to. They sold me stockings and. told me to elevate my feet.
I saw Stowe for exams, and she only said my swelling g didn't look so bad that day.
A week and a half ago, an ambulance took me to ER, had congestive heart failure. Administered lasisk for 2 days, feet went back to normal size. Have keep wearing g stj mvz for condition
Pharmacist told me his wife had it, and had pumps to put on her legs. Nobody had mentioned them. I had to call mor than one to get Vein to order them and then to get instructions. Shanna Stowe never mentioned them
Vein speciast bound my legs and ankles with ace bandages with bariatrics socks. Couldn't wear shoes.
Found the recent swelling due to congestive heart failure. Misdiagnosed.
Stowe had canceled her last appointment with me a few weeks ago because she wasn't going to be there. Rescheduled. Wasn't there the next time either. Saw nurse. Had planned to ask her about swelling. Didn't receive answer.
I feel my health has been jeopardized and have gone through much misery this past year andva half.
I came in with leg wound to see her last year. She wasn't available, so Dr. Shah saw me and immediately referred me to the Wound Center. I went for 6 weeks to heal it, because
      of his immediate attention.
      He's now my DR!

I encountered a "physician" that actually told me a test turned out good..That test was NEVER performed. Also, I had blood drawn and Oak Street has no idea what happened to my blood. Please think twice about this place. I believe they are just trying to get numbers...not help people !

No wait times. All the associates remember and call you by name. They treat like old friends. And they have scribes so the doctor has their full attention on you. Not to mention all the other services they have for you. Oak Street Health is about treating the route cause and not just symptoms and also treating the whole you and solving problems that *** cause you to be ill or become ill. The goal keep you out of the hospital and to keep you well. This is what the medical system should be, about the patient. Not about Money.

Oak Street health in ******************** is horrible. They do not know what they are doing. I was sent many times to the wrong location. I had to change my insurance to go to a certain Dr at one of their locations. That Dr later quit her job there. I was sent to another Oak Street Health location. The Dr there suggested to me to have an **** I called and set an appt for the **** Two days before that appt. I called my insurance to see if I had been approved by my Dr and was told that they had never heard from that Dr. I called Oak Street Health and was told that I did not have insurance. I could not be**eve it. I cancelled my MRI appointment. The first time that I called to get my prescriptions they had never been called in from the Dr. I called my insurance and stayed on ** a two-way phone call from Oak Street Health and my insurance to make sure my prescriptions were added correctly. I had not received my prescriptions for a long time. I called Oak Street Health to find out that they sent my prescriptions to a local Drug store without letting me know. The drug store did not have my address or phone number. I have changed to a new ******************** I would not recommend Oak Street Health to anyone..

They should know that Splenda contributes to insulin resistance. Yet it was the only sweeter for my coffee. They should know better and not encourage use of artificial sweetners.sweeteners.Not all seniors are aware of dangers of artificial sweetners.

Thought I was going to see a doctor for my wellness check but in did up with a nurse practioner who told of things that was possible wrong with me but done nothing to help the problems. Asked for some prescriptions to be renewed and had to call back 3 days later to get this done. Obviously Oak Street Health really doesnt care about your health only your money.

Watched the Oak Street Health promotion on the Wellness Hour. Frustrated with the historical behaviors of US doctors, who diagnose you before they even see you. And, god forbid they engage with you in a CONVERSATION about your health! They spend 5 minutes with you, then put you on a lifetime of drugs. For those reasons & many more, I was so excited for a health program focused on persons 65 and older, that led with we listen. Happily I scheduled an appointment, received a follow up letter stating their excitement to meet me. Never in my life have I been so excited to go to the doctors office!! It was 30 miles RT, but I ***** care. I get there (********, ** location), and the doctor ***** even bother to show up. There were no doctors based at that location & no one bothered to let me know before I got there. I felt like I had been pushed off a building. Maybe the other offices are as promoted, but the one I went to was a disaster.
