I am just beginning my association with Oak Street Health in ************** *******. I found the location convenient, the waiting room and community room inviting. I had a cup of tea while waiting to be seen. Because this was an initial appointment, I met with ***********************, Patient Relations Manager. She researched benefits of my insurance with me and provided helpful information. After being weighed and vitals taken, I was seen by *****************************. He took his time, asking and answering questions, explaining procedures, and ordered labs. I scheduled a follow-up appointment where I hope I can get referred to specialists to address issues not handled at the clinic. I am looking forward to establishing a relationship with Oak Street Health and my primary care provider, ********************.

1 starOak street Health use to be great when they first came out. I have been a patient for a few years now and have seen dramatic negative changes in not only my care but in management as well. I have experienced staff making appointments for me without my knowledge and them failing to notifying me of the appointment date/ time. I had be subscribed a medication from my weight loss doctor just for losing weight, just to have my primary doctor at Oak Street Health at that time to document in my medical records that I was taking it for diabetes. In which was false information. I have never been subscribed any diabetic medicine by any of my primary doctors at Oak Street Health. It has become extremely difficult to get an appointment and the nurse nor staff call u back by the end of the day. It has been nearly a week before getting a follow up call from this client. They change providers too regularly for a patient to get comfortable with them. Im currently in the process of finding another ********** because Oak Street Health has fallen off from providing great services and care for the elderly! Its so sad.Review fromSusan B

1 starAfter checking out Oak Street Health, I even went to their 'mandatory' welcome session. I didn't like the doctor, after not seeing the doctor I had requested. Six, yes six months later, I received a bill for this 'session', which was a surprise, since they don't bill insurance for that one! It also turns out that after you sign a paper saying they can record, they DO record you IN the exam room! They don't need your permission, because, well, it was signed for, so my own fault, but I didn't think they would do so in that manner! I paid their unethical fee and will NEVER go back!!Review fromJohn S

1 starNot a good feeling trying to get an Oak Street Health first time PCP appointment. Got forced to join Oak Street Health by *************** Tried to make a January appointment and after talking to three Oak Street Health agents, was totally unsatisfied. Oak Street agent tried to get me a first time appointment for January ****. I was told it is too early to get a January ****, it is now December 14th and I cannot get a January appointment. ***** wants me to join a PPO and pay monthly premiums to get a choice of doctors. Ditched by the Enderly Park location of Oak Street Health yet again!! This is the second time Ive been forgotten to be picked up by their transportation van in less than the 5 months since I joined this senior primary care clinic. After a few calls and being placed on hold multiple times by their call center (you can not call and reach someone at the actual clinic. All calls are routed through a call center) I was finally told there was a mix up and then they said they had rescheduled it. They also scheduled multiple Lyft rides for me, but then they immediately canceled them. I was completely confused and had no ideal what they were doing!! So I had to call the call center back. When I said why was I not informed of the rescheduling I received no reply. I was asked when I could come to in, I said Thursday afternoon, but Iat this appointment I will only receive a blood draw and UTI urine test, I am unable to see my provider because she is booked solid. This is all so unfair because *** had this appointment booked with my primary care provider for almost 1 entire month and I called twice to try to get in earlier for a sick call, but was told none were available and to go to the hospital instead. Oak Street Health at Enderly Park is still even advertising walk in and sick call availabilities and that they have same day and next day sick call appointments availability!! SAME DAY AND NEXT DAY SICK CALL AVAILABILITY ( EVEN 6 DAY OUT SICK DAY AVAILABILITY WAS MOST DEFINITELY NOT AVAILABLE TO ME THIS PAST MONTH (their nurse told me this twice and to go to the emergency department) (SICK CALL AVAILABLE AT OAK STREET HEALTH AT ENDERLY PARK WAS MOST DEFINITELY NOT TRUE THIS PAST MONTH FOR ME!! Why are they still advertising it and why are they still accepting new patients??? They can not even adequately care for the ones they already have, this my opinion anyways!!Oak Street Health/Corporate

I'm confused as to why this business has a high review. They may be using the businesses website where they have patient reviews from unknown parties.This place is grossly unprofessional. They say they have certain doctors on their advertisements and they do not. I thought I'd try them out seeing that they are referred by Area on Aging in my area(only to find out that agencies practice is to give seniors phone numbers and websites and say go for it.) When I arrived at the clinic staff was nowhere to be found so I walked around until I found someone who told me that I could not have been scheduled because, "we don't schedule nobody this early," Finally saw a patient advocate who apologized and completed the intake. I saw a young doctor, not a gerontologists as advertised. She asked a lot of questions and I don't remember her getting close enough to take my blood pressure which was high. Long story short I ended up in the ** and they called to find out why I missed my return appointment. I went to their senior exercise class thinking maybe to give them another chance and the person doing the class was on her phone while telling me and another senior what stretches to do. Maybe she was getting them from her phone. The staff stands in the front or walks around. If you go you can't be sensitive to foul unprofessional language and treatment. SUBJECT: Improper Disclosures to Client,Subject: Complaint Against Oak Street Health. ************************************************** ***** Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Oak Street Health regarding the unwarranted charges and billing practices that I have experienced. The incident took place after their representatives came to the ************** in Cahokia, **, and invited people, including myself, to come for a Welcome visit and tour of the facility.For June, I received a bill for charges from Oak Street Health, along with a billing ********* despite having made it explicitly clear during their outreach visit that I did not wish to receive any office visits or medical services. I consistently informed their representatives that I already had a primary care physician, and I was content with the healthcare services provided by my current doctor.Despite my repeated attempts to resolve this matter, I have faced significant difficulty in having the charges reversed. I have called Oak Street Health on four separate occasions, and I have spoken to four different individuals from their outreach program, which is responsible for visits to the ************** as a " WELCOME." I am a senior citizen who is not a patient of Oak Street Health and has no intention of becoming one. UNFAIR PRACTICES AND BILLING CHARGES PRACTICES. Terrible! First when these sorts of screw-*** happen on the administrative side, I blame the office manager, in this case ***********************. This practice missed my 8 a.m. appointment entirely. I arranged for the practice to give me a ride there and back, as they offered, and I even have a recording of that call where the person making the appointment and I were discussing the ride in some detail. And yet....... no ride. I finally called at 7:50 today (they should have been here by 7:30 latest, per their personnel). Got someone who said the office was closed, but she discovered that they had failed to make arrangements for a ride. She promised to send a message to them that they'd see and I'd hear back soon. I waited 25 minutes, and sure enough, ***** so the 8;00 appt. was now gone, thanks to their screw-up. I call back to the "real" office this time, and I get someone who seems put out that she has to deal with this, and she offers nothing but "would you like to make another appointment." No "let us try to fit you in today since this is OUR mistake," nothing. If you need dependable medical care and would like to avoid the stress of poorly managed medical offices (which almost always have worse outcome stats), this is NOT the place to go.Oak Street Health/Corporate
