I put a claim in and didn't hear anything for 3 months until I got a letter saying they're closing my case after contacting me several times yet I never received anything. No calls, texts, letters, emails, NOTHING. The letter said I had 15 days to respond but I didn't get it until the 13th day. Funny how that works. They sure as s*** can spam call me when I didn't have an open claim. But when I try calling them I'm met with an answering machine that sends you in circles and long long long hold times. You guys are a prime example of a scummy insurance company.Combined Insurance Company

After a death in the family, we were owed money from Combined Insurance. They reached out and asked for our current address after sending a letter to the wrong address. After confirming our address in email and over the phone, our check was still sent to the wrong address. They reached out again to get our address and insured that they would overnight our check. They did not. Instead, they sent it to the wrong house again. We are still waiting on a supervisor call and a tracking number for our newly issued check.Combined Insurance Company

I guess I should have read all these negative reviews before I purchased the policy and I would have saved over $1000 in paying into a policy that didn't want to pay out. Prior to committing, I asked the *** several times if she was positive that a hysterectomy would be covered because if not there is no reason for me to open a policy. She assured me that as long as it's not a result of cancer or AIDS that I would be covered. She said she knew *** who had hysterectomies, knee surgery and back surgery and that is not considered a preexisting condition. Yea well I guess they will say anything just to get you to open a policy. I had my surgery 10/1/24 and mailed off all their required papers that week. Two weeks later I call to inquire and was informed that they now want contact information for every doctor I have seen for the last 2 years. They could have asked for that from the start but no problem I sent that as well. 2 weeks later--we are still waiting for the medical records. 5 weeks later same song. I asked to speak to my claims adjuster and was told YOU CAN NOT SPEAK TO THEM BUT ILL SEND THEM A MESSAGE. I called 11/13/24 to get an update and was told I'd been DENIED citing preexisting condition. What do you consider a preexisting condition? Did I know I would need surgery? Yes eventually. That is why I asked the *** if that was covered. She told me as long as I wasn't getting a hysterectomy to remove cancer then I was covered. I do not have cancer. Since I was denied I immediately cancelled my policy so I wouldn't pay another $205 for nothing. I then asked if I would be able to appeal this decision? She told me YOU CANT APPEAL BECAUSE YOU JUST CANCELLED YOUR POLICY. So you want to get paid another month for nothing? NO THANK YOU I thought that because Combined was offered through *** that it would be credible. THEY ARE DEFINITELY SCAMMERS. RUN VERY FAST AND SAVE YOUR MONEY BECAUSE AFTER THEY DONT PAY OUT YOU WILL NEED THAT MONEY TO PAY YOUR BILLS.Combined Insurance Company

I'm not convinced this company isn't just a big scam. Thank god my job went back to offering AFLAC, because I'll be cancelling my Combined policy and going back to AFLAC, which never gave me a problem (maybe just required more paperwork).I've tried filing two claims. I got a bad staph infection (MRSA) from either work, or BJJ, and was hospitalized for 3 days. The *** advised they wouldn't cover it because it was considered an illness, not an injury. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But then, I had a fall injury and was transported by ambulance to hospital. That was in July. The claim and paperwork was filed in August. I currently have 3 phone calls, and 6 emails, most of which are assuring me that the "claim has been escalated". I was told early on, that they had everything they needed, there's no reason it should be held up. That was 2 months ago. I get the same scripted message every time I try to follow up, with no actual updates. ***** would have paid me in 5 days. This company is a total scam.Combined Insurance Company

My daughter is special needs and had surgery on 3 parts of her legs. I filed a claim on 9/05/24. I received a check for 1 of her 3 surgical same day procedures. I followed up on 10/04/24 + 10/10/24 to request the additional 2 surgery payouts totaling $1,000. They apologized and related the case would be reviewed for payment. I followed up on 11/01/24, they said yes of course they will ask the adjuster **** ****** to review the claim bc they may need something additional than the post op notes, EOB, and doctor forms they already have. I asked to leave a message to the adjuster, they stated no, his mailbox isn't set up. I asked for his office number, they stated no bc it's only an internal # for employees. I asked for his email, and they said no they can't share that... Meanwhile my bills are being sent to collections while they fumble my daughter's claim# ********, and they continue to automatically collect my payments. They have not sent anything via **** bc I have the *** that saves all scanned mail. They have not emailed or called after multiple attempts. Which department regulates insurance companies intentionally delaying payments? Friends stick with AFLACCombined Insurance Company

I think this company is a serious rip off. They don't follow through on the coverage that they claim. I've paid for two years and I was out of work due to surgery. They did not cover me while I was out of work as they said they would and instead just keep wanting money. My whole shop has canceled their policies due to the lies this company sells you. Very bad company to do business with. Never again. I say 0 stars.Combined Insurance Company
